From autumn 2008 Sweden has reinstalled the Special Education Needs teacher education. For future special education teachers and active teachers in the field, it is important to know the history and be aware of future visions to create a good role for the Special Education Needs teachers. This study examines attitudes towards special education and Special Education Needs teachers amongst school principals and classroom teachers at seven schools in Umeå municipality. School principals were interviewed, and a survey was handed out amongst the selected General Education teachers. From this it appears that school principals have a picture of special needs education and Special Education Needs teachers' work that corresponds well with the objectives of the school's governing documents.

The starting point of this study is national as well as international surveys which show that the study motivation and general level of knowledge among Swedish students have decreased. The Swedish Curriculum for the Non-Compulsory School System (Lpf94) states that each student shall be given the possibility to strengthen their will and ability to learn. The teachers are expected to play an important role in the effort to increase student motivation. The opinions of the students are a valuable source when trying to understand what motivates them. The purpose of this study is to provide a more profound understanding of what students express about their motivation in the interaction with the teachers.

SammanfattningUppsatsen handlar om motivation utifrån ett lärarperspektiv. I ett försök att få en bild av begreppet motivation har idén varit att granska utgiven litteratur och publicerad forskning inom området. Med förhoppningen om att skaffa en verklighetsnära bild av hur lärare beskriver och resonerar kring begreppet har empiriska studier i form av intervjuer genomförts.Genom att välja socialkonstruktionistisk teori som förhållningssätt har möjligheten givits att studera det som sägs i intervjuerna, utan att ifrågasätta huruvida detta är en korrekt beskrivning av verkligheten eller inte. Inom teorin ges språket en stor betydelse då det är genom detta förståelsen för omvärlden skapas.Resultatet bygger på två intervjuer som vid olika tillfällen genomförts med en och samma lärare. Avsikten med intervjuerna har dels varit att följa lärarens resonemang rörande motivation på ett allmänt plan och dels med utgångspunkt från hur denne arbetar med området.Undersökningen visar att det resonemang som förs tycks följa det som tidigare forskning redan beskrivit.

The purpose of this essay was to explore how the first-line managers in eldercare motivate their employees. In addition, we intend to study how the first-line managers acquire their leadership skills. To find answers to this purpose, we asked ourselves the questions; how acquires first line managers knowledge of how to motivate their employees? What is the first-line manager?s perception of motivation against their employees? The method we used was qualitative interviews with eight first-line managers in elderly care in Stockholm area. The results were analyzed by using two theories, Maslow?s hierarchy of needs and Hertzberg's two factor theories.

Alla människor behöver aktivera sig fysiskt och motionera på ett eller annat sätt. Men för att kunna motionera krävs det att motivation finns. Forskning har visat att motivation går att dela in i framförallt två former, det är inre motivation och yttre motivation. Den senare formen finns i fyra olika grader. Syftet med uppsatsen var att undersöka vad som upplevdes motivera till motion hos medlemmar på Friskis & Svettis.

This qualitative study aims to investigate some secondary school teacers' attitudes to and experiences of motivation in their second language classrooms. Through qualitative interviews with five teachers some different perspectives on motivation and its function in second language acquisition have come to light. First, motivation is seen as something important and some teachers tend to distinguish between intrinsic and extrinsic motivation. Those who do so tend to value intrinsic motivation more highly. Secondly, teachers believe they can affect students' levels of motivation.

Lately a tool to create more motivation called Gamification has been more and more popular to use. This study is focusing on the subject motivation and also how gamification can be used as a tool to get more of that.

Syftet med min studie är att kartlägga hur man som lärare kan arbete för att motivera sina elever i den dagliga undervisningen. Detta sett ur ett pedagogperspektiv. Resultatet är baserat på kvalitativa intervjuer med tre aktiva lärare. Resultat tillsammans med förankring i för studien aktuell litteratur utgör grund för diskussion. Resultatet tillsammans med litteraturen visar att arbete med att främja individers motivation är komplex och att det inte finns några enkla lösningar på hur man skall gå tillväga.

Syftet med fokusgruppstudien var att undersöka gymnasielärares upplevelser av den egna motivation samt att ta reda på vilka faktorer de anser påverkar elevernas motivation i undervisning och lärande. Resultaten visade, i enlighet med tidigare forskning, att de främsta motivationsskapande faktorerna för eleverna är en god relation mellan lärare och elev, att eleverna får möjlighet att vara delaktiga i undervisningen samt möjlighet till olika val i undervisningen. Lärarnas egen motivation visades öka av att undervisa och av möten med eleverna. Motivationen minskade dock av otrygg arbetsmiljö, otrygga arbetsförhållanden och arbetsuppgifter som inte har med undervisning att göra. Lärarna upplevde att deras egen motivation och engagemang i arbetet påverkade elevernas motivation och engagemang..

The purpose of this literature review is to visualize the contributing factors of insufficient hygiene routines and incorrect aseptic handling. The purpose of this study was to gain a deeper understanding of teacher´s motives to engage in outdoor education in their teaching. A qualitative approach through interviews was used and a total of eight teachers were interviewed. The result showed that there were several motives to engage in outdoor education. These motives were divided into three main categories which were: to engage in outdoor education from teacher`s interest, to engage in outdoor education based on teacher`s perceptions of children's needs and to engage in outdoor education based on external factors..

In Adult Education-Restaurant students often have a negative attitude towards the subject of math. Often mathematics is associated with what experiences the students had of this subject in elementary school - experiences that many times reduce the motivation for the same that is so frequent in the catering industry, in different contexts. Mathematics more or less unconsciously permeates restaurant profession at large, and as a chef you must realize the importance of mathematics in your daily work in the kitchen. The purpose of the work is to develop the mathematics lesson weight and volume by planning and designing more stimulating lessons accommodated in the kitchen - combining calculation problems with the work in a real kitchen environment. The aim is to help increase the students? motivation for and understanding of the importance of mathematics in the kitchen work. An action-oriented research method was used where students in a survey were asked to answer questions about their previous experiences with mathematics and how they themselves thought that motivating lessons on mathematics in cooking should be designed. The survey revealed that the majority of the students thought that the mathematics lessons weight and volume preferably should take place in the kitchen.

Syftet med följande arbete är att undersöka vilken syn fem gymnasielärare i svenska har på motivation och vad de gör för att skapa motivation hos sina elever. Detta ställs sedan i relation till ledarskap och kunskapssyn för att se om det finns ett samband mellan dessa och hur läraren motiverar eleven. Being able to reflect, evaluate and justify your views is an important part of adult life. Moral education can be a path to develop this knowl-edge; however, it is possible that the moral education gets more obscure when it is not a separate subject. The purpose with this essay is to examine the need of moral education and the presence and the framing of moral education of seven teachers in religion. The purpose is also to analyse where and how the moral education should be included in the curriculum. The survey was conducted through qualitative interviews with a hermeneutic approach.
