Physiotherapists treat people with different views of the world and medical beliefs, which require a good understanding of cultural differences. One way to achieve cultural understanding is through self-reflection in a new context. During five weeks the authors, two physiotherapy students, completed a clinical practice at the rehabilitation center Pina Palmera, Zipolite, Oaxaca, Mexico. At the beginning of the period a critical incident was chosen, when the head physiotherapist for the ward Cuidados Especiales intended to sell jewellery to the authors during a treatment of a patient. The authors have by using the reflection framework "Framework to guide reflective process", and Interpretive Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) for analysis, discussed different ways of communication, adherence, education, and self-reflection and critical thinking.

INTRODUCTION: Attempted suicide is very common. Those who arrive to a hospital by reason of attempted suicide need a nurse with qualifications in the care of suicidal patients. OBJECTIVE: The aim of this study was to compile and elucidate research which describes how patients in care for their attempted suicide experience the care that is received. METHOD: A literature review was chosen for this study. Scientific articles sought in the database CINAHL.

Problemområde: I dag utvecklas nästan alla webbsidor på Internet med märkspråket HTML. XML är ett nytt märkspråk och används bland annat för att utveckla webbsidor. Uppsatsen undersöker skillnader mellan de båda märkspråkens grundläggande dokumentstruktur. Den grundläggande dokumentstrukturen för HTML är HTML, HEAD och BODY samt för XML är den Prolog, Rot and Epilog. Hypotes: Uppsatsen baseras på hypotesen -?Vid användning av XML blir det en förbättrad struktur på informationen i dokumenten?. Genomförandet: För att undersöka hypotesen har två kriterier definierats och testats; Märkspråkens struktur och Sökbarheten i märkspråkens struktur.

The aim was to study the factors that contributed to the prescription of physical activity on prescription (PaP) by the professions in primary healthcare. A qualitative method was used in the study. The sample consisted of six participants; two doctors, two physiotherapists and two district nurses in primary healthcare in Uppsala County. The data were collected with semi-structured interviews and were analyzed with a thematic approach. The results show a great variety in which type of patient that receive PaP, however people with lifestyle diseases such as diabetes, hypertension and obesity are often more represented.

Att möta och stödja närstående till svårt sjuka patienter är en av sjuksköterskans många uppgifter. Författarparet har genomfört en empirisk kvalitativ intervjustudie om hur närstående uppfattar att de blivit bemötta inom kirurgisk verksamhet. Semistrukturerade intervjuer genomfördes med fem stycken deltagare vars anhöriga vårdas eller vårdats för malign sjukdom i övre mag- tarm kanalen inom kirurgisk verksamhet. Syftet med studien var att få ökad kunskap i hur närstående uppfattar bemötandet. Vidare var syftet att ta reda på hur anhöriga önskar bli bemötta.

The purpose of this master thesis was to study the water system for mechanically cleaned water at Skärblacka mill, in order to find and evaluate possibilities of using energy more efficiently. The thesis also includes an evaluation of the software tool ?Pumpanalys?Skärblacka mill produces pulp and paper. The large amount of water required is cleaned mechanically through filters and called mechanically cleaned water (MR0). The MR0 water is pumped out to the factory by four crude water pumps.

Properties are bought and sold daily, which means that it is of great importance with rules that regulate the acquisition. The rules on who should be held liable for a property brought to a head when the acquisition relates to a property that is loaded with contaminated soil. The purpose with this thesis is to investigate who could be held liable for contaminated land and also whether an exclusion clause can affect the separation of responsibilities. Two different liabilities can occur depending on which law that should be applicable, MB or JB.MB's rules apply to anyone who may be subject to decontamination responsibilities, which is regulated in Chapter 10. MB.

Binaurala inspelningar används när man önskar kunna bibehålla en 3- dimensionell upplevelse vid uppspelning, antingen genom hörlurar eller via högtalare. Vid inspelning används två mikrofoner som placeras antingen i öronen på en person eller i öronen på ett konsthuvud (en förenklad modell av ett medelhuvud). Man vill oftast använda ett konsthuvud för att underlätta inspelningarna och öka repeterbarheten, nackdelen är att konsthuvudet är en förenkling/modell av ett medelhuvud och man riskerar därför att försämra riktningshörandet jämfört med om man gör inspelningen i sina egna öron. En möjlig tillämpning för den binaurala tekniken är i cockpitmiljöer där det är höga störnivåer (brus) och ofta förekommande att flera personer talar samtidigt. Tack vare den binaurala tekniken kan man då jämfört med en mikrofon få ett riktningshörande och det blir lättare att separera de olika rösterna.

Huvud- och halscancer drabbar i Sverige varje år cirka 1200 män och kvinnor. Behandling sker främst genom strålbehandling och kirurgi. Både sjukdom och behandling kan ge svåra och många gånger bestående men som patienten måste lära sig leva med. Syftet med denna studie var att belysa patienternas upplevelser och erfarenheter efter avslutad behandling för huvud- och halscancer. Arbetet utfördes som en litteraturstudie där tio vetenskapliga artiklar analyserades.

The aim of this thesis is to investigate how purchasingmanagers in bookshops and public librarians reason withregards to their selection of fiction literature. Nineinterviews have been conducted in this qualitative studymade in the spring of 2013; four librarians, four bookmerchants, as well as a market director of a major chain ofbookstores. Our focus has been particularly directed toascertaining what influence the cultural-political mission oflibraries have had on the process of selection, as well as theextent to which factors such as demand and quality play apart in both organizations. We have been interested inseeing how libraries and bookstores compare with regards tothese factors, because of obvious differences in their goalsand purposes. Librarians see both the benefits and flaws intheir way of working, as well as in the way in whichbookstores conduct their business, and vice versa, that theyare often successful in cooperating, like when arrangingvisits from authors etc.

Studien undersöker huruvida förståelsen av tre kroppsorienterade videokonstverk avSkip Arnold kan beskrivas utifrån pragmatismen och John Deweys erfarenhetsbetonadeestetikbegrepp. Syftet är att studera hur kroppen präglar mötet mellan verk och åskådaresamt hur betraktarens eget erfarande av kroppen kan fungera som utgångspunkt förförståelsen. Studien innefattar tre pragmatiskt inspirerade analyser av verken Girls inbikinis, Head Shaking #2 och Breathing. I samklang med det erfarenhetsbetonadeestetikbegreppet införlivas mina egna erfarenheter av företeelser som vanligtvis intebetraktas som estetiska för att studera förståelsen. Analyserna präglas av ettfenomenologiskt tänkande som vetenskapliggör människans erfarenheter.

The purpose of this master thesis is to investigate how the public library can support adult learning through collaboration with other actors in the community. This is done by examining the activity of Linköping municipal library towards the user group adult students. The questions raised consider; the political view of supporting adult learning, the role of the public library, who are the actors in Linköping, the experiences of collaboration and finally what promotes and restrains collaboration. The investigation is done as a case study with qualitative methods. The qualitative methods was found to be the most appropriate for this study, since the majority of the empirical material has been collected through interviews.

The question about how the unemployment insurance should be designed is today a veryinteresting topic. In 2007 the Swedish government introduced an increased financial fee formembers in the unemployment benefit societies. Since this the number of members in thesesocieties has decreased dramatically. At the same time Sören Öman was appointed head of acommission whose obligation was to investigate the initiation of compulsory unemploymentinsurance. In May 2008 Öman delivered a separate report describing how the initiation of theinsurance should be dealt with.

Internal communication is very important for the success of an organization. The county council Landstinget i Värmland is a large organization with many managers on different positions. Every one of these managers gets an email every week, with the message that a new manager letter, called Chef, is published on the intranet. With my paper I am examining what the managers think of this letter, how they use it and if managers on different positions differ from each other in opinions about and use of the letter. I want to find out if there is a need of Chef as a part of the internal communication of Landstinget i Värmland.To answer these questions, I have chosen a quantitative method in the form of a questionnaire which is send to all the receivers of the manager letter.

Metod/Method: Semistrukturerade intervjuer har genomförts med kommunchefen, personalchefen, fyra medarbetare och en facklig representant i Sala kommun. Materialet från intervjuerna analyserades sedan bland annat med hjälp av två av Morgans organisationsmetaforer, Kotters 8 steg, agil projektledning och Derbys tidigare forskning inom området./ Semi-structured interviews have been conducted with the local head of government, the human resource manager, four employees and a union member in Sala kommun. The material from the interviews was then analyzed with help from Morgans organizational metaphors, Kotters 8 step, agile project management and Derbys earlier research on the area. Slutsatser/Results: En organisationsförändring enligt agil projektledning innebar att de teoretiska rekommendationerna för hur en organisationsförändring ska genomföras följdes. Att personalen gjordes delaktig i förändringen gjorde att motståndet mot organisationsförändringen kunde minimeras vilket var den största fördelen.
