Background: Animals have been shown to have a positive effect on people. The nursing science approach says that a person can experience well-being despite illness. The positive attributes of animals can be used in health care to help ill people experience well-being. An animal-assisted intervention can be a form of activity or therapy involving pets (AAA / AAT) or horses (EAT).Aim: The purpose of this study was to elucidate how animals in health care promote well-being for people with long-term illness.Methods: Literature review based on fourteen original scientific articles, with both qualitative and quantitative approach.Results: The compilation of the results led to four main categories with two subcategories respectively. These were: Physical aspects with subcategories Physical well-being and Bodily functions; Psychic aspects with subcategories Psychic well-being and Reduced psychiatric symptoms; Existential aspects with subcategories Quality of Life and Safety; Social Aspects with subcategories Social behavior and Relationships.Discussions: Review and discussion of the selected method.

The aim of this study is to investigate the view of literature that shines through in the Swedish curriculum for secondary school, Läroplan, examensmål och gymnasiegemensamma ämnen för gymnasieskola 2011. The idea is that this view of literature becomes visible when analyzing the curriculum?s ways of legitimating the teaching of literature and its relation to the use of a literary canon. The analysis compares the phrases from the curriculum regarding the teaching of literature and compares these phrases with the various literary visions that earlier scholars advocate. Based on these comparisons, discussions are raised about the pros and cons of the curriculum's ways of legitimating the teaching of literature and its relation to the use of a literary canon.

The aim of this thesis is to examine how five works of fiction about anorexia and bulimia have been received in Swedish daily press reviews. The investigation is based on 60 reviews, which are analysed with a qualitative method consisting of close-reading and where a feministic perspective is used. The main question concerns how and to which extent the basis of valuation in the reviews is effected by the fact that the books describe a primary female world of experiences. The investigation shows, among other things, that many reviewers consider the books about eating disorders to be too many. They categorize the books about anorexia and bulimia as a genre of its own and place the books into the literary system principally by referring to other books about anorexia and bulimia.

Syftet med det här arbetet var att undersöka i vilka genrer fiollärarna på kommunala musikskolan undervisar, och ifall de använder sig av improvisation. Mina metoder har varit litteraturstudier, sökningar på internet och en enkätundersökning. Utifrån detta har jag gjort en liten sammanställning av fiolens historia och de genrer där den har förekommit, och en presentation av den forskning som jag har hittat. Resultatdelen är en sammanställning av de enkätsvar som kommit in. Jag skickade 100 enkäter till musik- och kulturskolor i hela Sverige och fick 48 svar.

If one looks at physical planning in Sweden today one can see that while talking about densification of existing development, reduced emissions and careful use of important land, urban sprawl is a fact with development of sheer residential districts in the urban edges and shopping malls in each and every municipality. As sustainable development is an essential goal for physical planning to strive towards, it is worth questioning if the direction of today?s planning will lead to the goal. A sustainable development can be seen as an obvious to goal aim at. In reality the aim means a hard and complex work.

Ett problem med elevers skrivande har varit att elever utvecklat ett rituellt skrivande utan kommunikativa intentioner. Eleverna har även haft svårigheter att skapa ett eget innehåll, vilket lett till att elever reproducerat eller plagierat material till sina texter. Till detta kommer undervisningstrend som bygger på tanken att elevers skrivfärdigheter förbättras av att analysera textstrukturer. I studien granskas fyra läroböckers skrivdidaktik med avseende på hur eleverna får stöd i läroböckerna för utveckling av innehåll, kommunikation med andra läsare samt hur den eventuella undervisningen i genrer har utformats. Resultaten visar att tankeskrivande utan tanke på formkrav inte förekommer i läroböckerna.

I detta arbete har jag velat utforska, utmana och utveckla mitt komponerande och musikskapande. Genom att medvetandegöra tendenser och mönster i mitt skapande utifrån en kartläggning och sammanställning av mina skrivna låtar inom folk- och världsmusikgenren, har jag formulerat nya ramar att förhålla mig till när jag ger mig i kast med mina nya kompositioner. Frågeställningar som jag utgått ifrån är: Finns det något generellt mönster i hur jag komponerar? Finns det något generellt mönster i vad jag komponerar? Kan jag utmana och utveckla mitt skrivande genom att komponera utifrån förutbestämda ramar som skiljer sig från hur jag brukar göra? Är detta möjligt att göra och samtidigt behålla det lustfyllda och det fria förhållningssättet jag har till att skriva musik? Till detta följer också tankar och reflektioner kring musikaliska parametrar så som tonart, taktart, modus och genre..

This Masters thesis concerns computer games in Swedish public libraries. We have investigated the opinions of public librarians concerning what they think about computer games, and to what extent they believe it should be a part of the public library. The method we have chosen is qualitative interviews. The theory we have used is a pedagogical literature strategy, which we have reformulated so that it fits our investigation. The results show that the interviewed public librarians think that the library should offer computer games for children and youths to use at the library, and that they should offer computer games for lending, to all the library users.

Abstrakt För att utveckla och förändra spelmediet behandlar detta arbete impressionism och digitala spel. Båda ämnena diskuteras och belyses från olika vinklar för att undersöka hur de två ämnena kan sammanföras i en spelproduktion. Spelproduktionen har testats av spelstudenter för att få deras åsikter om hur spelet fungerar och deras syn på kopplingen mellan impressionism och digitala spel. Arbetet avslutas med en diskussion och slutsats där alla fakta som tagits in under kandidat-arbetet analyserats. I diskussionen lyfts följande ämnen fram: impressionism, konst, hur spelmediet ser ut idag, tv- och dataspelsgestaltning, interaktion och hur dessa två ämnen, impressionism och digitala spel kan föras samman.

Utifrån den mall som Basinger beskriver i boken har jag här diskuterat och analyserat hur Saving Private Ryan håller sig till mallen som skapats av tidigare stridsfilmer. Mallen består i korthet av en mängd element som används genomgående i genren; såsom gruppen, hjälten, målet och fienden. Dessa element förekommer från den första andra världskrigs-stridsfilmen Bataan från 1943 och har konsoliderats och utvecklats sedan dess. The aim for this master thesis is to create an understanding of the intersubjective processes of how individuals are experimenting with their identities in social media and the consequences for the identity and embodiment. The thesis is completed with the help of discourse analysis and a starting point in four complementary theories. Central to the implementation of the analysis is the concept of diffraction. Therefore the thesis is, which is reflected in the choice of theoretical approaches and methods, critical to many aspects of classical philosophy of science and method. The empirical material is based on interviews.

The purpose of this study is to examine how the concept multiculture has been defined and used in selected articles, which were published during the year 2006 and the following month. The study is based on five Swedish newspapers, from which 57 single articles were chosen and divided into total seven categories and dimensions which were partly developed from the theoretical base and partly from the chosen material itself. By using a qualitative analysis I have found following: In most articles the concept multiculture is used in an anthropological sense, meaning that the presence of several anthropological cultures is claimed before the concept multiculture can be real. An anthropological culture is of varying size and contents, in the majority of the articles an anthropological culture consists of a non-western and foreign country but can also represent a region or a continent. Aesthetic culture is, for the most part, used primary as an aid to define the current anthropological culture and not to stand for its own belonging to a specific genre..

Väder och klimat finns alltid i verkliga livet och ofta i spel. Men i spelen är det inte alltid vädret fungerar som det gör i verkligheten. Man kan säga att det finns tre kategorier av väder/klimatpåverkan på karaktärer i spel. En där vädret/klimatet inte påverkar karaktären, en där gameplay påverkas av det och en där karaktären också påverkas. Vilken av dessa nivåer föredrar de som spelar? Genom att skapa tre nästan identiska animationer med karaktären Super Mario, med dessa nivåer som skillnaderna, testas detta i denna studie.
