DÀremot Àr sÄ kallade Life skills-program förekommande i staden. Programmen arbetar för att stÀrka ungdomars sjÀlvkÀnsla, framtidstro och förmÄga att ta hÀlsosamma beslut. Syftet Àr att utifrÄn deltagarnas subjektiva upplevelser av Crossroadsprogrammet ta reda pÄ om programmet kan verka som en förebyggande insats mot tonÄrsgraviditeter.

Aim: To investigate if physical exercise in combination with coaching will reduce pain and improve knee function in patients with mild to moderate osteoarthritis in the knee compared to physical exercise alone.Method: The study consisted of 42 patients who were randomized to either an intervention group or a control group. Both groups followed a standardized training program at home, but the intervention group received additional support with regard to the aim of their training, as well as extra coaching during the training period of ten weeks. A Visual Analog Scale (VAS) was used to evaluate the patients? pain. A 10 metre walking test, the Index of Muscle Function (IMF) and the Knee injury and Osteoarthritis Outcome Score (KOOS) were also used to evaluate knee function.

There was a wish to develop a modern cabinet which showed remaining time on a display and with energy saving functions.In this report we go through how it is possible to implement a digital controlling system, where remaining time is shown on a display and where it is possible to choose a preset ?program?.The report first presents the fundamental theory for a PIC, where we describe the different registers, how interrupts are handled, the internal clock function and how data is sent to control the different parts of the construction.Next the report presents and describes the new hardware that is needed, such as the encoder, the temperature sensor and the display.After the theory we describe how the program in the PIC may be drafted. Last in the report we have the result of the tests of the temperature variations and the accuracy of the time..

The purpose of this master thesis was to study the water system for mechanically cleaned water at SkÀrblacka mill, in order to find and evaluate possibilities of using energy more efficiently. The thesis also includes an evaluation of the software tool ?Pumpanalys?SkÀrblacka mill produces pulp and paper. The large amount of water required is cleaned mechanically through filters and called mechanically cleaned water (MR0). The MR0 water is pumped out to the factory by four crude water pumps.

This report is about how HDR (HighDynamicRange) can be created and used in combination with Tone mapping. This work has been carried out together with Kapsch TrafficCom AB in Jönköping.The objective of this project is to:Evaluate and investigate the effects given to pictures by HDR and tone mapping.Evaluate if the technology may lead to improvements in Kapsch?s systems.To construct a program which is able to handle some form of tone mapping or HDR-algorithm.These questions will be answered in this report:What kind of effects has HDR and tone mapping-algorithms on pictures?Can the HDR-technology give better data in Kapsch?s systems?The research method used in this report is called action research. This means the authors has investigated the technology by reading different documentations and by testing different algorithms to see what kind of result they give. The report describes some of the tests made to see if the technology is appropriate in Kapsch?s system.There is two smaller reports made by the authors which documenting some of the work.The first report describes the work with different settings for a camera to create pictures with HDR-quality.

This thesis has aimed to study steering process and institutionalization in the context of educational policy work. This has been conducted by using empirical material from the political decision-making process that preceded the implementation of a new national program on how principals should be educated and certified. By using an aggregated theoretical point of view containing new institutionalism and traditional Swedish curriculum theory, the process was analyzed from different perspectives. The results depict a process that contained several actors who tried to shape the principal education program differently. From the theoretical perspectives, the decision-making process could be understood as an act of both self-interest as well as trust in their own beliefs and cultural values.

In this project the focus has been on the system for recombination at Oskarshamn 2. The recombining systems have on several occasions switched paths due to low pressure before the last ejector that?s feeding the recombiner. Of the mentioned reason, events and several measuring points have been analyzed in this report since the installation of the recombining systems.In order to prove theories and demonstrate what may be the cause of this problem, we used heat balance calculations by the program Probera. Using the program, we can demonstrate that the catalytic process does not reach the desired temperature with the amount of combustible substance.

Hur valet av karriÀr ter sig för individen har varit ett forskningsfÀlt i ca. 100 Är. Syftet med studien var att undersöka förÀldrars, kamraters, studievÀgledares, statusens och sjÀlvförverkligandets pÄverkan pÄ gymnasie- och yrkesvalet för elever i nionde klass. Likheter och skillnader mellan yrkesgymnasieintresserade och högskoleintresserade elever undersöktes utifrÄn faktorerna. Fem yngre mÀn och tre yngre kvinnor i Ärskurs nio som gjort sitt val till gymnasiet valdes ut till intervjuer.

Abstrakt Syfte: Syftet med denna studie Àr att öka förstÄelsen för ANT-programmet Steg-för-Stegs pedagogiska upplÀgg. Genom att: ? Analysera programmets pedagogiska utformning ? Studera nÄgra ledares syn pÄ det pedagogiska upplÀgget. Metod: Denna uppsats Àr grundad i en hermeneutisk ansats eftersom intresset var att studera innebörden och dess betydelse och dÀrigenom finna förstÄelse. Texttolkning av programmets kursmaterial har anvÀnts för att kunna se vilken pedagogisk utformning programmet har och intervjuer har anvÀnts för att fÄ kunskaper i tre ledares syn pÄ programmets upplÀgg. Resultat: Sammanfattningsvis visar resultatet att det finns tvÄ pedagogiska utformningar pÄ Steg-för-Steg program.

Matematikundervisningen pÄ gymnasiet ska ge eleverna kunskaper för vardagsliv och en grund för kommande arbetsliv. LÀrare pÄ en gymnasieskola har intervjuats om hur de anpassar Matematik A till olika program och vilken respons de upplever frÄn eleverna pÄ dessa anpassningar. Denna studie med kvalitativ ansats har utifrÄn intervjuerna gett en kartlÀggning av hur lÀrare anpassar undervisningen av Matematik A för olika program, bÄde medvetet och omedvetet. UtifrÄn kartlÀggningen gjordes ocksÄ en fördjupad analys för att hitta troliga bakomliggande faktorer till anpassningarna. Resultatet visar att lÀrarna anpassar matematiken till olika program pÄ flera sÀtt och nivÄer. Vissa anpassningar gör lÀrarna medvetet, som att vinkla uppgifter, aktiviteter och genomgÄngar till grupper och programmÄl eller pÄ individnivÄ med stöd, extra material och utmaningar.

Electrooculogram (EOG) data was used to develop, adjust and validate a method for drowsiness detection in drivers. The drowsiness detection was based on changes in blink behaviour and classification was made on a four graded scale. The purpose was to detect early signs of drowsiness in order to warn a driver. MATLAB was used for implementation. For adjustment and validatation, two different reference measures were used; driver reported ratings of drowsiness and an electroencephalogram (EEG) based scoring scale.
