Konsumenter söker efter njutning och exaltering i deras shoppingupplevelse när de handlar över Internet (Jayawardhena & Wright, 2007). Njutning och exaltering är känslor som uppkommer ur positiva upplevelser. Därför är det relevant att undersöka hur företag som bedriver e-handel via webbsidor kan skapa positiva upplevelser hos sina besökare. En fysisk omgivning i ett servicesammanhang kan skapa förutsättningar för positiva upplevelser hos besökare (Mossberg, 2003). För att skapa förutsättningar för positiva upplevelser hos webbplatsbesökare är det då relevant att undersöka hur den fysiska omgivningen i en webbsida kan utformas.

The main subject with this master thesis is to take a closer look at university libraries specially Gothenburg University Librarys operation of marketing the librarys user contact, how it receives various users demands and carry out the interactive and strategic marketing. Marketing is planning, structuring, implementation, analysis and controls of carefully formulated programs, designed to bring voluntary interactions and relations with the target markets, for the purpose of achieving organisational and user satisfaction objectives. The structure of this thesis covers three main parts. Part I reflects the researchers approach to the subject. Marketing researchers such as Grönroos, Kotler, Bryson, De Sáez and Gummesson among others are presented.

Digitala servicescapes : En undersökning om samspelet mellan dramaturgi, storytelling, och servicescapes i en digital miljö

Denna undersökning utgår ifrån Mary Jo Bitners servicescape-modell om hur fysiska miljöegenskaper formade efter en berättelse eller tema påverkar serviceverksamheter. För att sedan implementera modellen i en digital miljö. Resultatet av att nyttja teorierna kring servicescapes på exempelvis serviceverksamheter ger besökare möjlighet att fly undan vardagen, medvetet eller omedvetet, genom en kombination av olika sinnen. I undersökningen såg vi att besökarens självmedvetenhet kunde jämföras med Mihaly Csikszentmihalyis teorier om ?flöde?, där medvetandetillståndet hos en individ blir uppslukat av individens aktivitet.

Måste jag, måste jag, måste jag? ? En studie i mäns uppfattning om konsumtion på köpcentrum

Syftet med denna uppsats är att med hjälp av fokusgruppsintervjuer med män mellan 25 och 35 år, belysa deras syn på konsumtion på köpcentrum. Vi använder oss av en kvalitativ metod i form av fokusgruppsintervjuer. Vi utförde tre fokusgrupper där respektive grupp bestod av fyra till fem män mellan 25 och 35 år. Vi använder oss av teorier om miljö, beteende och genus för att förstå de faktorer män ser som betydande i köpcentret. Vi utgår från en egen modell baserad på S-O-R-paradigmet, Servicescape- och Servuctionsmodellen.

This study investigates how consumer attitudes toward a company are affected by the company?s Corporate Social Responsibility work and their marketing efforts thereof. The Swedish fast food chain ?Max? provides the empirical setting. The theoretical framework for the study is based on Vanhamme and Grobben?s (2009) model regarding CSR?s effect on a company?s reputation, which is connected to perceptions? effect on attitude based on Fishbein and Ajzen?s (1975) theory.

This thesis discusses how companies work with internal marketing to increase personnel motivation and comfort, and how internal marketing and employee rewards are valued by companies? management. Issues addressed include: the link between employee satisfaction and the success of companies: how to work successfully with internal marketing: the value of different kinds of rewards for personnel: the importance of communication and information. By studying literature and theories about these issues and also interviewing personnel managers in two different companies we have learnt that companies use internal marketing with awareness and thought. What does the work on creating the brand look like??Method/Material: This thesis is based on material collected trough interviews with people working with external communication in eleven swedish municipalities. The selected municipalities where divided into two groups based on their negative or positive population growth between 2005 and 2012.

The aim of this thesis is to investigate how librarians view marketing of the library using social media and how this can be used in a marketing strategy. The theoretical framework for this thesis is based on the 7 Ps of the marketing mix, SWOT-analysis and SWOT/TOWS Matrix. The theory is based on planned elements that make up a product or service offered the market. We have used our own interpretation of the theories to analyse our material. Our main method has been a web-based questionnaire, the questionnaire was sent to 523 librarians active at ten large public libraries and its related branches.

Skillnader över Atlanten : En undersökning om två organisationers kommunikationsarbete i USA och i Sverige.

This essay is a case study of how two non-profit organizations, in the same line of business work with external communication and new media such as Internet and social media (Facebook and Twitter).Both these organizations are located in different countries and the purpose of the case study is also to find out if the differences in their work methods in communication depend on organizational or cultural differences. The case study was conducted in the organizations Sverige Amerika Centret in Karlstad, Sweden and The Swedish Council of America in Minneapolis, US. A qualitative approach executed through interviews and a qualitative content analysis of the organizations annual report from 2010. The result of the interviews and the document content analysis shows that there are differences in the way these organizations handle their work with external communications and new media. One of the organizations uses new media more actively in their work with communication and through that channel creates a relationship with its external audiences. The theories that has been used for this case study is Organization communication, Intercultural communication, Public Relations and Organization culture. Keywords: external communication, new media, culture and employees..

The use of entertainment in various kinds of business events has recently increased in popularity among Swedish firms. Often, stand-up comedians are hired to entertain the employees or customers during these happenings. Generally, the firm invests a considerable amount of money in this service and is furthermore willing to pay a premium for a famous comedian. Although the market for this type of service is fairly large, the knowledge of the motives behind the investments is yet limited.A grounded theory study is carried out exploring the purpose of the entertainment as well as the rationales behind the preference for a famous comedian over an unknown. Two general types of contexts (internal and external) are identified and a number of objectives related to each type are distinguished.
