Search terms that were used were: breakfast,breakfast quality, children, glycemic index, energy intake, obesity.Selection criteria: Randomized controlled trials and cohort trials, breakfast eatingindividuals, children and adolescents under 18 years old, reported glycemic index. Outcomemeasurements: Energy intake.Data collection and analysis: Six original articles met the inclusion criteria and werereviewed by the SBU audit template for randomized and controlled studies. There after onearticle was excluded because of very low quality of the study.

BAKGRUND: Att drabbas av en dödlig sjukdom innebär ett hot mot vår existens. När patienterna inte går att bota inleds palliativ vård. Denna vård ska, som all annan vård, ske utifrån en helhetssyn och syftar till att lindra patienternas fysiska, psykiska och existentiella lidande. Trots detta har fysiskt lidande ofta tagit störst plats. Psykiskt lidande har också länge kommit i skymundan, men är ändå erkänt.

Vård och bemötande av personer med emotionell instabil personlighetsstörning och liknande ohälsa

SAMMANFATTNINGBAKGRUND: Suicidalt beteende och självskadebeteende kan förekomma hos personer med emotionell instabil personlighetsstörning (EIPS). Det kan finnas en negativ attityd till patienter med EIPS och liknande ohälsa hos personal som vårdar denna patientgrupp. Tidigare studier beskrev att sjuksköterskor upplevde att de hade för lite kunskap och utbildning i hur självskadebeteende ska bemötas i vården.SYFTE: Syftet med litteraturstudien var att analysera och sammanställa relevant vetenskaplig litteratur som utifrån vårdpersonalens och patientens perspektiv belyser bemötande och vård av patienter med emotionell instabil personlighetsstörning och liknande ohälsa.METOD: Systematisk litteraturstudie. Litteratursökningarna utfördes i databaserna, CHINAL, PubMed och Scopus.RESULTAT: Resultatet består av 21 inkluderade studier. Data genererade fyra teman vilka var vårdpersonalens attityder, vårdrelationens betydelse, behov av kunskap i vårdandet och vårdlidande.

In Asian countries, soy products are consumed in larger quantities than in the Western world, which has led to implemented research with the intention of examining soy's potential effect on cholesterol levels.Objective: To investigate whether there is scientific evidence that isoflavone supplementation from soy bean may have a lowering effect on LDL-cholesterol.Search strategy: The databases used for the systematic literature search were PubMed, Scopus and Cochrane. Keywords used were cholesterol and 9 versions of this, and isoflavones and 11 versions of that.Selection criteria: RCT articles, on humans, written in English, published from 2011 onwards, that focused on interventions with isoflavones from soybeans and its effect on blood cholesterol, the participants were over 18 years old and the study time was at least 24 weeks.

Hinder och möjligheter för sjuksköterskan att identifiera faktorer som påverkar undernäring hos äldre dementa på äldreboenden : En deskriptiv litteraturstudie

Sammanfattning Bakgrund: På grund av att människor lever längre så kommer antal personer med demens också att öka. Med stigande ålder och ökad närvaro av kroniska sjukdomar så som demenssjukdom, blir det även en ökning av undernäringsproblematik hos den äldre befolkningen.  Syftet: Föreliggande litteraturstudies syfte var att beskriva hinder och möjligheter för att sjuksköterskan ska kunna uppmärksamma, förhindra och minimera undernäring hos äldre dementa på äldreboenden. Syftet var också att granska artiklarnas kvalitét utifrån den metodologiska aspekten urval.Metod: En litteraturstudie med deskriptiv ansats genomfördes baserat på 16 vetenskapliga artiklar som söktes i databaserna Pubmed, Chinal och Scopus.Resultat: Studien visar att demenssjukdomens tre stadier orsakar nutritionsproblem. Bristande kommunikation och interaktion, utebliven måltidsträning och biverkningar av vissa läkemedel påverkade dementa äldres nutrition på ett negativt sett.

Metod: Litteraturs?kningen utf?rdes i databaserna Scopus och PubMed den 21 mars 2023. S?korden delades in i fyra block utifr?n valt PICO. Populationen var barn 0?7 ?r, interventionen var jodtillskott under graviditet eller amning, kontrollen var inget jodtillskott/placebo under graviditet eller amning, och utfallet var resultat p? kognitionstesterna Bayley-III eller WPPSI-III. Inklusionskriterierna var att studierna skulle vara RCT:er och att jodtillskotten/placebo skulle vara i tablettform.
