AbstractThe OMX Nordic Exchange Stockholm requires all large companies to apply the Swedish Code ofCorporate Governance. A revised code will be applied from July 2008. The purpose of this paper is toidentify the accessibility of information on corporate governance and in particular how the compliance,concerning the Swedish Code of Corporate Governance in the perspective of an internet active generalpublic.This paper is a complete census of the companies at the OMX Nordic Exchange Stockholm whocomplies with the code. Each company website has been visited and a comparison between the sectorsat the OMX Exchange Stockholm has been performed.Results: 96% of the companies present the members of the nomination committee. 94% presents thenomination committees proposal of the company board members, though only 33% of the companies inthe Energy sector.

In efforts to strengthen local economies, business development programs are often a way in which governmental organizations and state affiliates try to facilitate innovation and successful entrepreneurship. There is a mutual interest from both the public and private sector that these funds are put to good use. Extensive research has been conducted with the focus of the general effect of public support programs. However, not much research has been done on what external factors affect the situation for receiving businesses. This study attempts to examine whether one specific such factor, the level of maturity on the markets that the recipients operate in, has a discernible effect on the needs for different types of entrepreneurial support.

Genom det växande antalet kravställande intressenter måste företag finna nya vägar att utvecklas. För att uppnå tillväxt och värdeskapande måste företaget vara flexibelt och kan inte längre enbart fokusera på en typ av intressenter om avsikten är att säkra långsiktig framgång och konkurrenskraft.Att skydda miljön är ett område som får allt större uppmärksamhet i samhället. Företag kan inte längre ignorera detta område och allt fler röster höjs för att företag och organisationer måste integrera detta i sin ordinarie verksamhet för att nå framgång.Denna studie har som avsikt att undersöka möjligheterna att använda verktyget Balanced Scorecard som övergripande styrning av organisationers miljöarbete. Studien har genomförts genom en fallstudie på en större industriell organisation där syftet varit att undersöka möjligheterna att effektivisera dess miljöarbete genom användning av Balanced Scorecard.Resultaten i denna studie visar att verktyget är resurskrävande vid framtagandet och utmaningarna är många för en organisation att implementera detta på miljöarbetet. Verktyget kräver att vissa områden beaktas såsom uppmärksamhet, delaktighet och kommunikation.Ett Balanced Scorecard för miljöarbetet kan, om identifierade förutsättningar beaktas, förbättra kommunikationen, informationsflödet, redovisning av prestanda och öka möjligheterna till ett tvärfunktionellt miljöarbete.

The concept of quality is difficult to identify clearly. Many attempts to define quality havebeen made, but the resulting definition remains vague.The quality concept (in the artistic sense) has since 1974 played a leading role in Swedishcultural policy. In the spring of 2009, a publication, named ?Kulturutredningen? waspublished. This report suggested a number of changes for the Swedish cultural policy.

Bakgrund: Utvecklingen inom redovisningssystem går mot att använda alltfler kompletterande icke finansiella styrmått. Genom att koppla ihop det tankar som finns inom Balanced Scorecard konceptet med ett värdekedjetänkande som finns inom Supply Chain Management kan en horisontell styrning skapas.Syfte: Syftet med uppsatsen är att beskriva och förklara hur företag kan utveckla lönsamhetsrelaterade mått för kompetens och prestationer samt att ge förslag på en process- och värdekedjeanpassning av Balanced Scorecard modellen.Avgränsningar: Uppsatsen behandlas utifrån Balanced Scorecard och Supply Chain Management teorin där fokusering framför allt sker på måttframtagningen. De personer som intervjuats är verksamma inom Svedala Industri i Sverige, Tyskland och Frankrike. Genomförande: Uppsatsen bedrevs som en fallstudie där intervjuerna skedde på med personer på divisionsnivå, marknadsnivå samt försäljarnivå med återkommande intervjuer vid behov. Intervjuresultaten användes för att testa den egna modellen i verkligheten.Resultat: Uppsatsen visar att incitament föreligger för användning av kompletterande styrnyckeltal för att förbättra företaget.

In 2010 there will be a political resolution to ensure that the Swedish society is accessible to all citizens including people with disabilities. For this purpose a national action plan for disability policy "From patient to citizen" (Govt. Bill 1999/2000:79) has been set out with the aim of ensuring that the disability perspective will permeate every sector of society and that the approach and response to people with disabilities will be improved. The Swedish National Council for Cultural Affairs is responsible for implementing the disability policy in the cultural sector.Since public libraries in Sweden are a part of the public cultural sector, they will also be affected by the political resolution regarding accessibility. The concept underpinning library services for disabled people must be that of equality of access.

The purpose of this thesis is to describe and to increase the understanding of the negotiation process between the public- and the private sector in a Public-Private Partnership (PPP). I have chosen to explore the first ?real? PPP project in Denmark, the construction of Vildbjerg compulsory school in the municipality of Trehøje.This case study is based upon a qualitative method consisting of interviews with the leading negotiators from both sectors. Two different theoretical perspectives are used to construct the basis of the analysis - The Theory of Public-Private Partnership and Negotiation theory - and serve as a concept instrument.The result of the analysis indicates that the negotiators from the different sectors have problems to get out of their traditional roles as purchaser and contractor ? in PPP they should act like partners.

The construction and use of buildings in the EU accounts for half of the EU?s extracted materials and energy consumptions, and a third of greenhouse gas emissions. In the past decade, the construction sector has responded to such concerns by focusing on post production energy efficiency. However, new findings indicate that upstream construction processes influence emissions significantly ? necessitating a shift in focus to include material choices and building processes.

Syftet med vår studie är att undersöka de problem som kan uppstå vid en överföring av ett styrinstrument, innehållande Key Performance Indicators, från en organisation till en annan i samband med förvärv. Uppsatsen utgår från en fallstudie av ett företag i kemibranschen. I vår fallstudie använder vi ett abduktivt angreppssätt och en kvalitativ metod. I den teoretiska referensramen utgår vi ifrån teorierna om The Balanced Scorecard och Key Performance Indicators. Empiriinsamlingen har skett med semistrukturerade intervjuer..

Economic changes, globalization and an aging population are phenomena that haveaffected the municipal development in the late 1900s. To address these challenges,cooperation in specific areas between municipalities in the 1990- and 2000's hasincreased. This is referred to in the literature as municipal cooperation. IT is one ofthese areas of collaboration and is seen as a potential solution to streamline municipaloperations. IT implementations are often complex projects involving a large number ofpeople.

Authorities, municipalities and county councils have great opportunities to pave the way to a sustainable society. In the public sector, the tax revenue is used and therefore it is important that both employees and societal stakeholders feel that they participate in the sector?s decisions and fields of application. Municipalities and county councils are primarily service organisations. The employees? commitment is necessary to be able to reach set goals, to develop procedures and policies that support the overall political goals, in other words, to be successful in the environmental work.

The use of balanced scorecards have spread explosively throughout the world during the last decade. This management tool have become very common in a vide spread variety of organisations on all continents. Many balanced scorecard fails though and scorecard theorists often blame the identification- and implementation process as they claim that these lay the foundation for the use of the tool. As my literature study shows, academic research on the area is rare. Particularly the effect on the implementation process from organisational dynamics and organisational structures needs further research.

Bakgrund: En betydande styrka med styrverktyget Balanced Scorecard är själva metodiken. Medarbetarna bör vara delaktiga i framtagningsprocessen för att strategin ska kunna genomsyra hela verksamheten. Vissa praktiker menar att stora likheter finns mellan olika organisationers styrmåttsuppsättningar som används i Balanced Scorecard. Om så är fallet finns risken att organisationen anammat en standarduppsättning mått och att poängen med Balanced Scorecard som strategiskt verktyg faller därigenom. Syfte: Vårt syfte är att beskriva och analysera tendenser till likriktning vad gäller ickefinansiella styrmått i svenska tjänsteföretags Balanced Scorecard, samt vilka möjligheter som finns att utnyttja likriktningstendenserna.

The purpose of this essay is to investigate how well vision and strategies communicates from division level to underlying business unit levels with focus on the Balanced Scorecard Concept. The investigation was carried out within the ANS division and two of its underlying business units at the LFV Group (Swedish Airports and Air Navigation Services). ANS is responsible for the air navigation services in Sweden and the production of the services is carried out of the business units AER (En Route) and ATA (Tower and Approach). With Air Navigation Services means supervision and conducting air traffic mainly within national air space. The purpose of the services is to insure that air traffic could be carried out in a safe way.The Balanced Scorecard was introduced for the first time in the beginning of the 1990´s.

Nya styrmodeller inom den privata sektorn har länge varit viktig för utvecklingen och har på senare tid spridit sig till offentlig sektor. New Public Management (NPM) är samlingsnamnet för icke-vinstdrivande offentliga organisationers sätt att mer och mer efterlikna styrmodeller från den privata sektorn. Detta gör offentliga organsisationer genom att agera för effektivisering av arbetet inom organisationen. En vanlig styrmodell som offentlig sektor har snappat upp är Balanced Scorecard (BSC), eller det svenska namnet Balanserad styrning. Inom Skellefteå kommun har BSC funnits under en längre tid och är en etablerad styrmodell inom kommunen.
