This report describes the manufacture and control of a flying platform. The report describes the basic and fundamental theories required to get the platform flying. It touches on subjects such as A/D-conversion. PWM-control and PID-control. The sensors used in the platform are a gyro and an accelerometer.

How can a multi project organisation use Wiki to support improvement of knowledge management and project evaluation to become a learning organisation? The main purpose of this thesis is to give management and employees a better understanding of how Wiki supports knowledge management and project evaluation. The second purpose is to illustrate possible difficulties and pit falls that comes with the implementation of Wiki based learning. The theoretical framework initiates by explaining multi project organizations, then describes Argyris and Schöns theories about organizational learning and learning organizations. The second half of the theory chapter brings up theories about important areas for a learning organization.

The accounting of today results in reports that are valued according to one kind of value.There are advocates who recommend that the accounting should be expanded by one orseveral columns, which would enable that other methods of valuation could be used. In thisessay we examine how the ?multi column reporting? can alter the outcome of a financialanalysts? valuation procedure.In this essay we used existing theories about the financial analysts? usage of information toreach the lack of information we found and which we aim to erase whit this essay. To do thiswe studied decision theories and theories regarding information processing, and by interviewswith three financial analysts. After we collected the information needed for the analyses, wethen also compared the results of the interviews with related theories.The theories about decision in this essay concern whether a decision is based on rationality,bounded rationality or irrationality.

The purpose of this paper is to examine and to analyze the arguments about a possible Swedish law against the veil. I have therefore highlighted how notions about the veil creates and reproduces power-structures and meaning-systems. I structured the arguments in a pro et contra schedule and then analyzed them by using a theoretical framework consisting post-colonial feminism, orientalism, multi-culture and intersectionality together with research produced by Joan Wallach Scott (2010), Pia Karlsson Minganti (2007) and Anne Sofie Roald (2003). The results of the study shows that the people who either argue for or against a veil-law agree that the veil is an oppression of women and that it must be resisted. To be objective in the discussion of the veil seems to be impossible and the women it affects deprived voice.

In Sweden the real estate sector accounts for 33 % of energy consumption and just below 10 % of the emission of carbon dioxide. As a consequence of the external pressure from climate change it?s in everybody?s interest to reduce the energy consumption and thus reduce the emission of carbon dioxide. An additional incentive to reduce the energy consumption is the substantial increase of the energy price since the deregulation of the electricity market in 1996.In this study the techniques that exist to build multi-storey residential buildings with high energy performance will be investigated. Further the study intends to investigate the optimal energy performance from a real estate economic perspective.In order to investigate the optimal energy performance a model has been created with the parameters investment cost, rental revenues, operation and maintenance cost, discount rate and investment horizon.The result shows a relationship between a high investment cost and a high energy performance for newly constructed multi-storey residential buildings.

This master?s thesis presents experiences from an evaluation of AdApt, a multi- modal, conversational dialogue system, using PARADISE, PARAdigm for Dialogue System Evaluation, a general framework for evaluation. The purpose of this master?s thesis was to assess PARADISE as an evaluation tool for such a system. An experimental study with 26 subjects was performed.

In this Bachelor Thesis (20 p.), we present the history and development of "Intelligent Houses", and most important- explore some of the future possibilities in this area. The project has been carried out through an interdisciplinary cooperation between three different educations at the Blekinge Institute of Technology. By conducting a dialogue with various actors with different professions, we have been trying to identify needs within the concept of "Intelligent Houses", were the end user is not only the tenant or homeowner. Through Participatory Design methods, such as a Future Workshop, we have brought the users together to discuss their own and each others needs and hindrances in their respective work practice, and how intelligent house technology could improve their work conditions. We have also been testing a highly sophisticated CO/CO2/Moisture/Temperature/Enthalpy multi-sensor & controller, originally developed for regulating indoor climate systems.

I detta examensarbete har ett problem som varit en del av ett pågående projekt på ElektaInstrument AB undersökts och en lösning har föreslagits.Problemet har varit att utveckla och modellera en servoenhet som med hög precision kanpositionera ett instrument i fem dimensioner (tre translaterande och två roterande) och som kanhålla instrumentet på sin position med hög styvhet.Problemet löstes genom att först specificera kraven på servoenheten, sedan undersöktes olikabefintliga koncept för att uppnå kraven. Det bästa konceptet, en Stewart-Gough plattform, valdesoch studerades och analyserades sedan i detalj.Analysen gjordes i två steg, det första steget var att göra beräkningar av krafter och benlängdersom en funktion av positionen för en Stewart-Gough plattform. Det andra steget var att realiseraberäkningarna och implementera dessa i kod och hårdvara för att styra fysiska motorer och fådem att bete sig som önskat enligt beräkningarna.Resultatet av första delen av analysen är ett MATLAB program som kan beräknainverskinematiken och benkrafterna för en godtycklig Stewart-Gough plattform som belastasmed en godtycklig kraftvektor och en godtycklig momentvektor. Programmet kan även itereraberäkningarna för olika lägen för Stewart-Gough plattformen och för olika belastningar ochskriva ut extremvärdena som beräknats.Den andra delen av analysen resulterade i ett LabView program för simultan styrning av sexmotorer och hårdvara för att driva sex motorer. Styrningen har testats på befintliga motorer medlyckat resultat.Resultaten av examensarbetet visar att Stewart-Gough plattformen kan uppfylla kraven som ärställda på servoenheten.

This paper addresses the question about what role typography plays in the interpretation of a text. From three different handbooks in typography arguments are gathered and categorized in to three categories: roman types, san serif and others. Interviews with people from the graphic design area are also a part of the paper and are accounted for in the discussion part of the paper. Areas of theory are a broad hermeneutic view based on Hans-Georg Gadamers thoughts, which have sub categories such as: Michel Foucault?s theory about discourses, John Swales genre theory and Anders Björkvall?s thoughts on typography and multi-modal texts.

Den rådande kompetensbristen av IT-kunniga i Sverige kan påverka den ekonomiska tillväxten. Det behövs fler utexaminerade studenter som kan säkerställa att IT-näringen fortsätter att utvecklas. Spelifiering har använts för att öka användares engagemang, intresse och motivation inom en mängd olika områden. Det finns redan nu ett par spelifierade plattformar som har engagerat miljontals användare, till exempel Khan Academy och Codecademy. Syftet med denna rapport är att undersöka hur en spelifierad plattform skulle kunna användas för att öka studenters motivation till att lära sig programmering, samt få fler intresserade av programmering. Sex studenter har deltagit i två enkätstudier som har undersökt deras motivation och intresse, vilka brister det finns i den inledande programmeringskursen och hur den populära spelifierade plattformen Codecademy påverkar deras motivation och intresse för programmering. Resultatet visar att samtliga respondenter uppskattar Codecademys design och upplever en hög motivation vid användning.

In the spring of 2009 Silva Sweden AB was contacted for a collaboration within the scope of a MasterThesis project. The company had discussed the possibility to develop a device that monitors usermovement during different types of exercise. The objective of this Master Thesis has therefore been todevelop and design a multi training device that records the user?s physical performance during severalactivities. The purpose of the thesis project has been to use scientific methods for product development inorder to design a multi device that supplements Silva?s range of products.The project followed a product development process divided into four phases; Market Analysis, ConceptCreation, Concept Development and Construction.

Det jag ska undersöka är hur väl program skrivna i Haxe med det externa biblioteket NME uppnår plattformsoberoende. Mer specifikt hur väl ett spel skrivet i Haxe med NME är plattformsoberoende givet att programkoden är den samma och inte modifierad för varje plattform. På hemsidan för NME ställs frågan ?Does This Actually Work?? och svaret som ges är ?As surprising as it sounds, NME really works. You do not need to spend your time messing with cross-platform compatibility, but you also do not have to sacrifice runtime performance or access to platform features.?.För att Haxe och NME ska anses vara plattformsoberoende ska samma källkod resultera i att spel som fungerar på ett tillfredsställande sätt på alla de testade plattformarna, givet att jag i programkoden tar hänsyn till den hårdvara som finns tillgänglig på plattformarna.

Denna studie var inspirerad av ett projekt finansierat av VINNOVA där målet var att skapa en horisontell teknisk plattform för processindustrin som ska distribuera lösningar inom automation och processtyrning. Denna plattform skulle skapa värde genom att bidra till bättre systemunderhåll, en snabbare utvecklingscykel, mer effektiv utveckling av produkter, bättre dialog mellan parter av utvecklingsbehov och större valmöjligheter av leverantörer. Denna plattform skulle förhoppningsvis även minska trösklarna för inträde på marknaden för små leverantörer.Syftet med denna studie var därför att få en djupare förståelse för hur företag inom processindustrin ser på implementeringen av en e-marknadsplats. Detta genomfördes genom att beskriva de teoretiska framgångsfaktorer som finns för en framgångsrik e-marknadsplats, det mervärde som aktörer på en e-marknadsplats erhåller genom att delta och sedan jämföra dessa med verkligheten i en fallstudie.I fallstudien intervjuades två företag från processindustrin; ett företag inom gruvbranschen och ett inom pappersmassabranschen. Studiens resultat visar att det mellan två företag inom processindustrin kan finnas en tydlig diskrepans på hur man ser på ett deltagande i en e-marknadsplats.

The purpose of this study is to investigate how two elementary schools work with Swedish and Swedish as a second language through four teachers thoughts and perceptions. My issues are: How do the teachers perceive the Swedish classes in the school, and how do they perceive that they are conducting it? Which examples of material for teaching do the teachers show me and how do they use it in each school? Do the work with Swedish and Swedish as a second language in the multi-ethnic school and the more mono-ethnic school differ according to how the teachers perceive they are conducting it? Do the teachers think that the equivalent education that is part of the curriculums values and mission always is maintained and why/why not? My study is performed from a sociocultural perspective. My conclusions are that the teachers from the multi-ethnic school are more aware of how to work with Swedish or Swedish as a second language regardless of the students ethnic or national origins. Some aspects of how the teachers work with Swedish are equal with each others, but there are differences to.

Arbetet bygger på att de informationssystem som används idag men som blir allt äldre och därigenom inte klarar de krav som ställs på dem. Detta medför att informationssystemen måste migreras till modernare plattformar, då företagen dels inte klarar sig utan dess nuvarande funktionalitet och dels måste vidareutveckla systemen.Detta arbete tar upp olika sätt som detta kan genomföras på och vilka problem som kan komma att uppstå när detta sker. För att kunna undersöka detta så genomfördes ett antal migrationer. Språken som migrationen kommer att ske mellan är Visual Basic 6 och Visual Basic .net. Migrationerna kommer att ske med hjälp av ett migrationsverktyg, samt ett ramverk som i arbetet skräddarsys för just arbetets typ av migrationer.Det arbetet kommer fram till är att det sker problem vid användande av ett verktyg och även att det inte ger tillräckligt med respons på vad som gått snett under migrationerna..
