This essay was written at Södertörn University during the spring semester of 2010, in the field of Business Administration, and more precisely within management and organization. The essay is based on a case study of the management of the staff working at the commuter train stations in Stockholm. The study consists of a number of interviews with the management staff and with the personnel working at the stations, where the aim of the study is to describe how management works within ISS Trafficare AB and what the personnel working at the stations think of it. ISS Trafficare AB is the entrepreneur who runs the commuter train stations in Stockholm by an agreement met with StockholmstÄg KB.The study is based on information from the interviews with the personnel and other material from ISS Trafficare AB. Research on the area of management have been used to put data into perspective and to further deepen our analysis and conclusions from the case.The essay shows that the management has tried to implement several changes on the organization in order to provide more service to the travelers.

Ekonomisk information kan ses som ett instrument för att höja medvetenheten och motivationen hos anstÀllda under förutsÀttning att den kan förstÄs och Àr relevant. Vilken betydelse har samspelet mellan ekonomichefen/controllern och produktionsavdelningen i tillverkande företag? Hur förmedlas ekonomiinformationen? Muntligt, via möten, face-to-face, skriftliga rapporter eller pÄ annat sÀtt? Förmedlas informationen över huvudtaget? Vilken betydelse har ekonomiinformation för företagens effektivitet? Kan vi bidra till att bekrÀfta att det finns ett samband mellan spridning av ekonomiinformation och effektivitet? Syftet Àr att undersöka om sÀttet att förmedla den information som kommer frÄn ekonomistyrsystemet i form av rapporter och/eller andra sÀtt att förmedla informationen pÄ, kan tÀnkas pÄverka förstÄelse och motivation hos individer i syfte att öka företagens effektivitet. Utveckling av ett centraliserat informationssystem

CML Data AB is a small IT-company that offers complete IT-solutions adjusted to the needs of the customers. It is hard for the employees to bring all necessary papers, files and software when visiting a customer. They also have difficulties planning their daily work and to keep track of each other, because of the lack of a shared calendar.The purpose of this report is to answer the following questions:- How do you develop a centralized information system for CML Data AB where it is possible for the employees to gain access to files, plan their days and where the customers can get access to relevant information?- How do you develop an information system that is easy to manage?- How do you make it easier for the employees at CML Data AB to update their homepage?We discussed the problems and the future information system with the employees and were able to establish a set of needs and requirements which we then used as a foundation during the software development. We used user centered system design during the whole process and focused a lot on usability and interaction design.The project resulted in a stylistically pure and user friendly portal.

Praktisk analys av rollen som spelproducent

Jag har under mitt kandidatarbete gjort en praktisk studie av producentrollen pÄ det Karlshamnsbaserade spelföretaget Black Drop Studios. I denna slutreflektion gÄr jag igenom min egen process under utvecklingen av en spelprototyp av företagets primÀra produkt, plattforms-racing spelet Boingo. Under produktionen har jag som producent verkat för att effektivisera verksamheten och agerat som en resurs för teamet. Jag har haft dagliga möten och individuella samtal med medlemmarna i gruppen, samt kontinuerligt övervakat och utvÀrderat arbetsflödet genom det web-baserade projektledningsverktyget Redmine. Utöver min roll som producent har jag Àven arbetat med marknadsföring och presentation av den fÀrdiga produkten pÄ Game Developers Conference i San Francisco.

Title:Product abandonment ? A comparative study of five ABB-units Level:Master thesis in Business administration, spring 2011.Purpose:The purpose of this paper is to through a comparative analysis examine how different companies, within the same group, works with product abandonment and what factors influence the process.Problem:How important is situational and product specific factors in a product abandonment process in which the organizational factors are constant?Method:This study is based on primary as well as secondary data where interviews represent the primary data. Interviews, following the same interview guide, were made with five companies within the same group.Result:The results from the empirical studies presented in the text below recurring themes derived from the framework.Conclusions:Our conclusions are that the importance of product specific factors is of significant matters in a product abandonment process, even when organizational factors are constant. The following report documents the development process of that upgrade ascarried out by the author. Psittacines and reptiles are exotic animals that are difficult to care for and it requires extra knowledge to make a correct assessment of their wellbeing. An animal welfare inspector, with an education in general animal welfare, may not have a deep enough knowledge of exotic animals to do a proper assessment of the animal?s general condition and its environment. In this paper it was therefore examined if animal welfare inspectors have enough knowledge to do a satisfying inspection of establishments working with selling of exotic animals. A literature study was used to examine difficulties with each species.
