Med hjälp av loggboksanteckningar och videoobservation har jag studerat mig själv under åtta övningspass där jag, inför min examenskonsert, övar olika improvisationsverktyg och moment. Min idé var att söka svaren på en av de frågor som vi musiker ofta ställer oss: ?Varför spelade jag så bra igår, men inte idag??.

The Master Thesis has been carried out in cooperation with Silva Sweden AB and the objective was to develop a new product concept within the product category for everyday exercise. The purpose of the thesis was to use and analyze methods and tools which aid creativity and concept creation in order to make method recommendations for future projects.During the thesis a number of customer needs were identified, which in turn were translated into 20 concepts. On a concept decision meeting a pedometer-based concept was chosen for development. The new pedometer is in addition to counting steps also able to measure and calculate the user?s total climbed height during a day and present this graphically in comparison to famous monuments or distances.

The aim of this qualitative study was to study high school PE teachers´ experience of health in high school and how they work with health in their physical education. This was examined by interviewing five high PE school teachers. The results show that all teachers were in the category humanistic approach. They saw health as more than only absence of sickness. The methods for using health in their physical education were divided into three different categories; physical health, improve the individual and theoretical health.

Introduction: The relationship between depression and stigma is known to cause suffering among the depressed population. Depression is also one of the most common diagnoses in the world. Stigma caused by society leads to people being divided into groups which in term results in a general loss of status and discrimination. Aim: To identify the stigma of depression and its impact on help-seeking behaviour and to identify the underlying attitudes. Method: We chose to make a literature review to explore and compile the current research on the subject.

SAMMANFATTNING Denna litteraturstudie syftar till att utvärdera hjärtfrekvens och hjärtfrekvensvariabilitet som fysiologiska mått på mental stress hos häst. För att utvärdera detta har olika artiklar studerats. Artiklarna redovisar studier där hästar utsätts för framför allt mentala stressmoment. Under stressmomenten har antingen hjärtfrekvens (HR) eller hjärtfrekvens och hjärtfrekvensvariabilitet (HRV) registrerats. Hjärtfrekvensvariabiliteten kan omvandlas till ett antal parametrar, bland annat lågfrekvensband (LF) och högfrekvensband (HF).

Background: Myocardial infarction is the most common individual disease among people in the west world. In Sweden there are over 50 000 women and men who get myocardial infarction every year and about 40 % of them dies. Exercise training is one part of cardiac rehabilitation and since 1980 Sweden use the guidelines from that time. Aim: The aim was to review exercise-training modalities in cardiac rehabilitation after myocardial infarction and the physiologic- and psychological effects. Method: Facts were obtained by searching through the database PubMed for articles published from 1994 and ten years forward.

Introduktion: Stroke är en folksjukdom som årligen drabbar cirka 30.000 svenskar. Det primära symtomet är muskulär svaghet som kan innebära paralys/pares och 70-90% av de drabbade får nedsatt motorisk funktion. Mental träning innebär att för sitt inre visualisera en rörelse utan ett motoriskt genomförande. Metoden har visat sig ge neuroplastiska förändringar samt ökad EEG- aktivitet i hjärnan. Studier har visat att visualisering, observation och exekution av rörelser aktiverar samma motoriska områden i hjärnan.

I have examined how students' freedom and democracy education interpreted in real life, and how this affects both teacher and student learning approaches. I would also highlight the need to set standards for children's psychological development related to the consequences will be. I have chosen to perform a qualitative research through individual interviews with five participating teachers from different experiences in different type of school. I have used the hermeneutic method of analysis to analyze the material.

This report documents the process of designing a laboratory exercise in Fourier analysis at Vetenskapens Hus (House of Science) in Stockholm. The lab is designed for high school students studying science or technical education. It focuses on the physicalunderstanding and mathematical description of sound, in particular music. A model of such a lab is presented in this work; containing a review of the mathematical theory, summary of educational research in the field, descriptions of the design process and of the investigativework that led to the final result. The designed material for the lab includes developed computer programs, visit leader tutorial and description for teachers. .

Background: There has been a process of de-institutionalisation and mental health care re-forms in Sweden. Social services are, according to the law, responsible for helping persons with mental illness to live a life like others and to participate in the community. The aim of the study was to describe the culture in one of the social services adult day care center for social relations and activities in Stockholm. The aim was also to focus on the importance of the adult day care center for recovery and empowerment from the participants´ perspective. Methods Observations in the adult day care center were combined with four interviews with regular participants.

Studiens syfte var att undersöka möjligheten till att ta kontroll över min nervositet och atteffektivisera min instudering av Intrada av Arthur Honegger.Bakgrunden är att jag alltid har varit intresserad av att lära mig nya saker och vad jag har velat meddetta arbete är att utveckla min kompetens som trumpetare och det har jag gjort genom mentalträning. Samtidigt som jag har utnyttjat mental träning för att bli mer mottaglig för inlärning så harjag tränat mig i att hantera nervositet. Allt detta har jag gjort för att bli en bättre trumpetare.Min metod har varit att jag läst litteratur om minnesträning, mental förberedelse och ens egeninställning till att utvecklas inom ett område. Jag har sedan använt mig av övningar som jag hittat iböckerna, antingen som de är eller så har jag ändrat på dem för att passa mig och mitt syfte bättre.Arbetets konstnärliga del presenterades i form av en inspelning där jag spelar Intrada utanackompanjemang och jag valde att göra inspelningen utan ackompanjatör för att visa på hur minvardagliga övningssituation såg ut. Det ger dessutom en väldigt naken bild av hur jag spelat och detär lätt för åhöraren att höra vad som har fungerat bra och vad som jag inte har lyckats med.

Abstract A central problem in all language teaching is to teach the correct use of prepositions. There are grammar rules, but also a lot of exceptions and idiomatic expressions that often have to be learnt by examples or by heart. A trick for learning might be to use a mnemonic method with songs and music to memorize a correct use of prepositions. The purpose of this study is to test a language teaching didactic exercise for knowledge of preposition in Spanish with songs and music. Grammatical aspects, rules and exceptions when studying prepositions in Spanish are presented.

AbstractAuthors: Mikael Gustafsson & Kristofer von WachenfeldtTitle: With help from people and cattle; to recover from mental illness in a rural environment [translated title]Supervisor: Kent-Inge PerseiusPurpose: The aim of this study was to examine feelings of recovery from mental illness in the perspective of individuals participating in Nymålen; a rural- situated facility focusing on recreation- and work- related interventions. The study took place outside of Oskarshamn, Sweden. The study focused on if, and in that case how, Nymålen contributes to recovery from mental illness. We were also interested in which factors affecting the recovery-process, as expressed by the participants themselves.Method: Eight individuals from Nymålen participated in individually performed semi- structured interviews. The collected data was then coded and categorized to enable further analysis by using Qualitative content analysis inspired by Graneheim & Lundman (2003).
