The tribological contact between cylinder liner and piston ring is where an great amount of energy is lost due to friction, and by reducing these losses an reduction in fuel consumption can be achieved.The aim of this thesis was to evaluate the tested piston ring coatings against a plasma sprayed cylinder liner and rank these combinations of materials for friction and wear resistance. The coatings that were tested was Cr + Al2O3, (Al,Cr)N, two types of CrN and WC / C.The experimental tests were performed with a so-called pin-plate, where used oil with addition of an acidic mixture of sulfuric and nitric acid to mimic the acidic condensate formed when exhausts recirculate, were added with a continuous flow. The results were then analyzed by weighing, studies by optical microscopy and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and profile measurements.The results from each material combination were that the plasma coated cylinder liner wears too aggressively in order to yield a ranking of the piston ring coatings based on the parameters of friction and wear resistance. It is therefore proposed that an alternative coating on the cylinder liner should be developed, lacking the large abrasive wear on piston rings and that can withstand the corrosive environment resulting in engines equipped with EGR.

Denna uppsats handlar om hur artisterna HÄkan Hellström och Ken Ring konstruerar diskurser kring maskuliniteten i sina musiktexter. UtifrÄn poststrukturalistiskt influerad teori kring feminism och maskulinitet görs en komparativ nÀrlÀsning som bildar en tematiskt uppbyggd studie. UtifrÄn det för artisterna gemensamma temat utanförskap visar studien att utanförskapet hos Ken Ring Àr relaterat till en kÀnsla av maktlöshet. Denna kompenserar Ken genom att konstruera maskulina diskurser med ett överdrivet ansprÄk pÄ det som den europeiska kulturen förknippar med maskulinitet och genus. Detta kan kontrasteras mot HÄkan Hellström som i sitt utanförskap konstruerar maskulina diskurser dÀr ?omanlighet? och ett kÀrleks- och sexualitetsbegrepp dÀr ?jaget? blir könsmÀssigt tvetydligt, stÄr i fokus.

Nematode-transmitted plant viruses (such as nepoviruses) cause great economically losses in commercially important plants such as tomatoes, grapevines and raspberries all over the world. To avoid spread of the viruses the interest in mapping the viruses has increased. One of the important nepoviruses infecting European red raspberries (Rubus idaeus) is Tomato black ring virus (TBRV). TBRV has earlier been confirmed in raspberry samples from Belarus by ELISA and the aim of this bachelor degree project was to confirm these results by amplifying, cloning and sequencing the coat protein (CP) gene of the virus. In total eight viral cDNA samples, from two different raspberry samples, were amplified and sequenced.

This study has investigated the possibilities of implementing lean in a division of a hospital in Stockholm. The goal was to reduce the lead time for the patient to get his diagnose by implementing lean in the two production flows of this division. In order to accomplish it, a complete map over the value stream has been done. With the help of the value stream map and lean theory a list over the processes in contradiction with lean has been made. Finally propositions to implement lean and by this way reduce the lead times in this stream have been made out.

There is a clear difference between types of regions and forms of regionalization. This theoretical division can point out other division lines on different areas and levels, like the one of discourses. In this article is urged that regional political discourses may be divided in West and East European ones. To argue for West and East differences in regional discourse the article shows division lines both in the history of regionalization but also in ideologies. The regional policy of the EU is one example for today's regionalization as a West discourse and the Transylvanian in Rumania as an example for the East discourse.

Mitt syfte med denna studie av HÀckelsÀngsringen Àr att ta reda pÄ om den verkligen Àr frÄn vikingatiden samt om den har haft en eds-, rit- eller kultfunktion? Finns det nÄgon vikingatida kult i omrÄdet som kan komma ifrÄga nÀr det gÀller denna ?mystiska ring?? Till min hjÀlp har jag tagit litteratur som talar om ringar och eder till exempel de IslÀndska eddorna. För att se om det finns en vikingatida kult i omrÄdet har jag besökt HamrÄnge socken, bÄde sjÀlv och tillsammans med arkeologer. Jag har studerat lÀnsmuseets faktarum och fornminnesregistret. I fornminnesregistret har jag hittat platser sÄsom en reliklund med mycket gamla lindar, en tÀnkbar offerkÀlla, en stenlagd cirkel som kan vara en tingsring samt att i nÀrheten finns ett omrÄde som pÄ gamla kartor kallas LundÄker, en tydlig odling av hassel.

The Island of Öland has one of the best wind climates for land based wind power in Sweden. An objective for the Island is to become self sufficient using electricity from renewable source of energy such as wind. There is currently 55 MW capacity installed on the Island and it is estimated that grid congestion will occasionally occur if more than 135 MW was installed.The aim of this thesis is to investigate he possibilities for load management by smart charging of electric vehicles, EV. The definition of smart charging is that the charging is done to some extent with an ICT-system, (information and communication technology) that correlates wind electricity generation to the charging of electric vehicles. The purpose is to avoid grid congestions on the sub-sea cable that connects Öland to the mainland because that in turn would curtail wind energy production.

This thesis deals with the goods classification of the Nordic alcoholmonopolies, viz. Alko in Finland, RĂșsdrekkasĂžla Landsins in the FaroeIslands, Systembolaget in Sweden, VĂ­nbĂșĂ°in in Iceland, andVinmonopolet in Norway. The focus of the study is the web pages of thecompanies (as they appeared April 10th 2011) and the printed pricecatalogue of Alko, from which information on class division has beenexcerpted. The emphasis lies on the division into product groups and theinformation about origin. Within these facets, which partly overlap insome of the classification systems, the principles of division and thehierarchical relations between classes are studied.

In autumn 2010, the Division of Civil Engineering at the Swedish building contractorPEAB made a campaign to increase the number of reported incidents. Informationwas sent to the branch manager who was responsible to enlighten the employees onthe establishment. The goal of PEAB Division of Civil Engineering is to have at least 10reported incidents per accident that generate more than 8 hours absence. Therefore,it is important that the employees understand how the report system for incidentsworks. The number of reported incidents differs between regions.

Intranets has been marketing as the tool for solving the organisations information problems. My interest is to see how an intranet works in an organisation. This study was an investigation about the use of EkaForum, the intranet of Eka Chemicals, at the Rollsbo division. The study aimed to evaluate how EkaForum is being used, firstly as a transmitter of information and secondly as a communication tool for the organisation. The study was constructed as a quantity survey based on a questionnaire with 24 questions and was sent out to the staff of Rollsbo division.

Syftet med mitt examensarbete var att fÄ mer kunskap om konkreta material som behandlar multiplikation och division. För att fÄ veta vilka konkreta material som finns att tillgÄ gjorde jag intervjuer med tvÄ lÀrare som fick beskriva vilka material de anvÀnder sig av. Jag valde att observera tvÄ elever enskilt dÄ de löste de multiplikations- och divisionsproblem som jag hade designat för studien. Det jag fick ut av undersökning var att det finns mÄnga olika material som elever kan arbeta med samt att det Àr viktigt att de fÄr möjligheten att arbeta med dessa material. Jag kom fram till att lÀrare bör vara medveten om i vilket omrÄde som materialet Àr bÀst tillÀmpad och att elever behöver anvÀnda sig av konkreta material för att lÀttare förstÄ uppgiften.
