En demokratisk organisation - ett klick bort? : En kvantitativ innehållsanalys som undersöker potential för demokratisk kommunikation via intranät
AbstractTitle: A democratic organisation - one click away? A quantitative content analysis which studies the potential of democratic communication through Intranet use.Authors: Stina Gabrielsson and Jill Johansson VennelinPurpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate whether there is potential for democratic communication within the NGOs through Intranet use.Key questions to be answered were: To what extent is authority versus members represented on the Intranet Klick?s discussion forum? What/which communication-related functions out of social function, knowledge transferring and debate are featured in the posts published on the Intranet Klick?s discussion forum? Are deliberative discussions being practiced in the discussion forumthreads on the Intranet Klick? The thesis is based on the theory of deliberative democracy. In order to substantiate the theory has theoretical perspectives concerning participation and involvement also been applied. These perspectives are derived from organizational theory and internal communication.Method/Material: This study consists of a quantitative content analysis of the 477 posts and the 129 discussion threads available on the NGO RFSU?s Intranet Klick the 29th of november 2012.Main results: The results show that 63, 4 percent of those who were active in the discussionforum represented the category authority, while the category members were formed by 36, 6 percent.

This report describes the development of a system for controlling documents. The report starts with a problem description which the company wants an Intranet-based solution for. The report then continues to describe the development phase for the different parts of the system which results in a complete system. The company that wanted this system is called Orbit One and is located in Ronneby, Sweden. They have had a problem with old documents circulating in different versions and in different binders.

Organizations over the world increasingly start to realize the possibilities of the use of a social Intranet, also known as Enterprise 2.0. The social Intranets can be used to collaborate and communicate with colleagues in the workplace. Both Cook (2008) and Coope (Barnett, 2011) say that Enterprise 2.0 is about to fundamentally change the way organizations communicate. But do companies know how these tools can be used?The study emanates from three questions:How can social Intranets be used in business?How can internal communication and collaboration get easier through the use of a social Intranet?What are the possible risks with the use of social Intranets?In this study we have in a qualitative manner been interviewing two companies that currently use social Intranets in their daily activities ? Securitas and Skåneme-jerier.

Utvärdering av Microsoft SharePoint 2003
I have been studied Microsoft SharePoint on behalf of Prevas in Karlstad.The purpose of my work was to see if Microsoft SharePoint was what Prevas wanted as a replacement for the existing Intranet, which they are not satisfied with today.My work was a kind of foundation for Prevas so they could make a decision in this matter.The work began with installing SharePoint at one single server at Prevas. We used a virtual technology (VMware) at the installation, which can be described as that we created two ?miniservers? in a bigger server, one for SharePoint and the other for storing the information. This kind of technology is strongly advancing. The main work consisted of setting up the structure for the navigation and designing both the portal and the local homepage for Prevas Karlstad.

We live in a stressful world and a demanding society where the ability to quickly adapt is one of the most important and most difficult challenges of today. A fairly new phenomenon called Intranets has evolved to meet this challenge, however many examples of corporative Intranets are stories about failures and systems with poor usability. This study focuses on how the user oriented approach to systems design affected upon a system development process of an Intranet, solely developed within a company, and how it impacts on the Intranets popularity among the employees in the company. The study starts not from the literature but from a survey, which is based upon the Delphi method. Which results were used for further in-depth research about the subject, by interviewing three representatives from the company.
En fallstudie av Södertörns högskolas intranät Kurswebben
We have made a qualitative study of what the students at Södertörns högskola use Södertörns högskola?s Intranet Kurswebben for and how they experience the use of it. For this purpose we have made a qualitative interview examination with six students. The empirical material has been analysed according to our own analytic model which is based on existing usability theories and consists of the tree parts content, function and design.Our conclusion is that the students use Kurswebben mainly to keep themselves updated, download teaching material and schedules. According to our study, the students most of the time experience their use of Kurswebben as simple, but sometimes have a reluctance to visit it.
En studie kring den Interna kommunikationen i Arla Foods Svenska Division
Aim: My aim with this study is to investigate whether the co-workers in the company Arla Foods is satisfied with the communication between the company and the employees. If there are any changes to be made or if it works well as it is now.Method: I have sent out invistigationforms to 85 co-workers within Arla Foods. This forms included questions about Arla Foods internal communication and how the co-workers apprehend this. I have also made 7 interviews over the phone with co-workers on the dairys around Sweden. Including in these 7 interviews have I also talked and posed questions to representatives for the trades-union within Arla Foods.

The main purpose of this master thesis is to study the information support by the head office of the Swedish social insurance office to its administrators. The thesis only focuses on information that concerns laws, regulations and instructions. The study is based on an interview with the head of the division of law at the social insurance head office and a questionnaire answered by administrators in four different counties. The purpose with the interview was to find out about the information strategy of the head office and in the questionnaire the administrators could describe their opinion of their information support. Our special interest was the information channels and how the administrators were able to absorb the essential information.

Social Software Roadmap : Implementering av sociala verktyg internt i organisationer
Today more and more companies are looking out to adopt a new generation Intranet, a social Intranet where all employees can engage to express themselves and share information. There are large expectations on these new services, which have the opportunity to create high business value if used actively and qualitatively. However, there is a large challenge in knowing how to best implement these services in an organization in order to achieve this. This paper has investigated how an implementation should be made by defining obstacles for the implementation and adoption, discussing how they could be overcome, investigating what incentives could be used to foster usage and finding common success factors for an implementation.By a qualitative research method, consisting of five case studies and two focus area interviews we found a number of steps that must be followed for an implementation to be successful. First the conditions of the organization must be investigated in order to see whether or not social tools are suitable.
Användbarhet av ett gränssnitt i web-miljö och dess påverkan på attityd och motivation.
Ett förslag på design av gränssnittet på förstasidan av ett Intranet är utformat med tanke på användbarhet med utgångspunkt från attityder och motivation.Arbetet är utfört hos Familjen Dafgård AB i Källby, ett företag inom livsmedelsbranschen.Två gränssnitt är designade, ett efter minimalistiska principer med ett fåtal rubriker innehållande både global och lokal information i en djupare struktur för att stimulera till en action-oriented approach och att locka till sig nya, ovana användare. Det andra med utgångspunkt från informativa startsidor eller en maximalistisk design med rubriker i flera nivåer för global information samt ikoner för lokal information.Gränssnitten är utvärderade med tanke på användbarhet med hjälp av REAL metoden, Relevans, Effektivitet, Attityd och Lärbarhet. Som komplement till denna metod som utvärderar på detaljnivå används en definition kallad användbarhet i kontext. Denna hanterar användarvänlighet, användarkompetens, användaracceptans och informa-tionsbehov på en mer global nivå.Utvärderingen baseras på en kvalitativ ansats med intervjuer och observationer av sex försökspersoner som har fått pröva de två versionerna av gränssnittet. Fyra ovana och två vana internetanvändare.Resultatet visar att av de två versionerna är den maximalistiska startsidan är att föredra.

För att en organisation ska fungera måste kommunikationen fungera, för många organisationer och företag har intranätet blivit en av de primära kommunikation- och informations kanaler. Ett intranät stöder främst nedåtriktad information och fungerar som en informationsportal men den tekniska utvecklingen går framåt och nya höjder nås för vad som är tekniskt möjligt att göra. Skellefteå kommun är en organisation som valt att förnya sitt intranät och skapa ett nytt socialt intranät, det sociala intranätet skiljer sig från sin föregångare genom att det inte enbart består av statisk information utan det är kommunikativt. Syftet med den här studien är att undersöka vilken uppfattning anställda inom Skellefteå kommun har om organisationens nya sociala intranät samt hur de använder det. Materialet till studien samlades in genom sex semistrukturerade intervjuer.
