INTRANÄT - Ett medium för kommunikationsverktyg

This report explains how different communication tools can be used in a company?s Intranet. It gives a short description of the different parts in an Intranet and their field of application, and what communication means. It?s only the communication tools that the company uses that we are illuminating in this report.

Intranet som verktyg: med avseende på informationsbehov och kommunikationsmönster

I vår uppsats valde vi att undersöka hur kommunikation och social interaktion förändras vid användande av Intranet. Vi ville även se vilka fördelar/nackdelar användandet kunde medföra för individen i relation till dennes arbetssituation. Detta då vår erfarenhet av Intranetlitteratur var att den utlovar guld och gröna skogar till sina användare. Vi frågade oss, upplever även individerna Intranet så bra. För att kunna studera dessa fenomen utfördes en fallstudie på United States Information Service, (USIS), vid Amerikanska ambassaden i Stockholm.

Informationshantering och -spridning på Axis Communications AB

In a complex and turbulent world, several companies begin to realize the value of information as a strategic resource and try to find strategies to manage this. This master thesis aims to describe the information management at Axis Communications AB. Axis is a fast growing company and due to this they have not been able to manage the flow of information whitin the company. To find out how the information was managed at this time we made a survey and employee interviews at three Axis business units. By analyzing the surveys and interviews we found several problems.

Faktorer som inverkar på användandet av intranet

Arbetet har undersökt användandet av Intranet som informationsmedium. Huvudsyftet är att ur användarsynpunkt, ta fram vilka faktorer som inverkar på användandet av Intranet. För att arbetet skall kunna ge en övergripande bild har arbetet tagit fram vilken/vilka faktor/er som inverkar till största del och således tagit fram en rangordning.Undersökningen har genomförts i samarbete med Volvo Lastvagnar Komponenter AB, Skövde. För undersökningens bredd har både enkäter samt intervjuer genomförts bland anställda på företaget. Resultatet som framkom är följande:1.

Förändring av intranät och dess inledande utmaningar

Organizations today face changes continuously as the society, the surroundings and the technology change. The information technology used in organizations has become essential, where Intranets are a big part of it. Many organizations embrace social Intranets, and these kind of changes has an impact on the members in the way they work, handle information and communicate. As many organizations and the members in it face new kinds of changes, they also face new kinds of challenges. This paper presents an interview study at Smurfit Kappa Kraftliner in Piteå, whom are about to go through a change process unlike any other change they have ever gone through before.

Strategisk styrning av intranät: Centrala val att uppmärksamma

Having an Intranet as a source for information and communication is common in most contemporary organizations. Research shows that the Intranet in itself does not have an explicit area of use, and that leaves every organization to make decisions of the associated functionality on their own. At the same time the strategic opportunities that the Intranet could bring get lost somewhere along the way. This means that problems regarding the strategic use of an Intranet becomes apparent and may result in loss of investments for the organization. The purpose of this thesis is to identify central choices that can be used as points of discussion and help organizations to work with their Intranets on a more strategic level.

Today organizations plan to update their technology so as to make the communicative functions of Web 2.0 come true. With this objective in mind organizations will be prepared to meet social demands among staff. After interviewing Intranet managers I have compiled qualitative data in categories. My approach is influenced by a phenomenographic approach.

The purpose of this thesis was to ease the implement of an upcoming Intranet for a target group who had used the previous system to an unwanted low extent. After qualitative and quantitative studies I found that the users of the current Intranet thought it was hard to navigate and did not understand neither the relevance of it in their own work nor knew which information it contained.Since I did not have access to the new system by the time of the making of this thesis I concentrated on rectifying possible problems with the new system regarding the relevance and the contained information. With basis in a number of theories I produced an information brochure, whose object was to inform about the content and to convince the target group of the relevance and utility of the new Intranet. .

Intranät : En teoriprövande studie tillämpad hos Sydved AB

During twelve weeks of practice experience at the company Sydved AB, I received the mission to develop a structure for the company?s internal communication. A part of this mission was to find out what the company?s employees thought of Sydveds internal communication and the most important; Sydveds Intranet called ?Outlook?. Due to Sydveds plans of developing the Intranet I designed and accomplished an inquiry-study to find out about the employee?s opinions on the company´s internal communication and in particular their Intranet.The answers I want from this study are if I shaped the inquiry-study correctly the first time.

But do companies know how these tools can be used?The study emanates from three questions:How can social Intranets be used in business?How can internal communication and collaboration get easier through the use of a social Intranet?What are the possible risks with the use of social Intranets?In this study we have in a qualitative manner been interviewing two companies that currently use social Intranets in their daily activities ? Securitas and Skåneme-jerier.

Det Sociala Intranätet

Social Intranets are based on the Enterprise 2.0 expression and create a new way for organizations to communicate and work. It brings possibilities to leverage user generated content and engage in cooperation across organizational borders where users can get to know each other and share knowledge.This thesis aims to explore what expectations motivate decision makers in implementing social Intranets. It is interesting to discover what is expected to happen in an organization that implements a social Intranet and chiefly what the actual effects are. Through interviews of both management executives and Intranet users at a consulting company called Ninetech, we have plotted out managers? expectations and effects experienced by users.We have categorized managements? expected effects in two themes; expected effects on corporate culture and expected effects on informational work.
