In this essay I have investigated how two families, with children, who have food allergies, experience what support and what treatment they get in preschool for their difficulties. I have interviewed two children and two parents. The study shows that the interviewed parents believe that more knowledge in the community and among staff in preschool, about food allergies, is needed. Parents wish that the staff should write an action plan that describes how to deal with children who have food allergies and that preschool invites parents and children to record results. It is important to consider an inclusive attitude so that children don?t feels excluded.There is some research going on around this subject and researchers agree that the incidence of food allergies in the society is growing, but that it is difficult to be able to present a certain theory why, and what the underlying factors are.

In the care for the critically ill patient the next of kin is of great importance. Their support, love and care for the patient, increases the wellbeing and makes a connection to the patient?s normal lifeworld. For the next of kin to be able to be that support the next of kin needs to be helped to maintain the basic need of for example their sleep, food, Hygiene and psychosocial support. The critical care nurse must see to the patient?s whole lifeworld which includes their next of kin.The aim of the study was to identify the resources available for the next of kin in intensive care units in Sweden.

Workers Educational Association, took part in the great changes of society and in the modernizing process in the period of 1920-1949. The examination is based upon three journals of educational material that were connected with W.E.A. The question at issue is to show how the people behind W.E.A. aimed to educate and indeed educated the workers to modern people and moreso to see how the articles in fact were written and to analyse in what way they turn to the workers and get their attention.

En enkätundersökning sändes ut till tandhygienister (n=79), som arbetade på samtliga Specialistkliniker för Parodontologi i Sverige under maj månad 2005. Syftet var att undersöka vilka faktorer som ansågs vara av betydelse för att uppnå goda och bestående resultat av munhygieninstruktioner hos patienter som behandlas för parodontit, samt vilka faktorer man ansåg försämrade möjligheten att uppnå framgångsrika resultat. Följande faktorer undersöktes; patientfaktorer, instruktionsmetoder, hjälpmedel vid munhygien och vårdmiljö. Resultatet visade att stressituationer hos patienten och återbud till bokade behandlingar var betydande faktorer som försvårade goda och framgångsrika resultat för att uppnå god munhygien. Extremt viktig faktor ansågs tandhälsoinformation vara, speciellt personlig sådan, där tandhygienistens engagemang och även vårdmiljön spelade stor roll.

SUMMARYPrevious research has shown that there is a connection between the doorways and postoperative wound infections. Despite recommendations from Socialstyrelsen and the individual hospitals' PM there is still high traffic in the operating theatres. In a hybrid theatre environment combined X-ray techniques of surgery, resulting in it being further two categories inside the operating theatre. This may generate an increase in traffic flow. The study is a prospective, non-participant observation study conducted in the spring of 2013 at a university hospital in western Sweden.

Introduktion: En god tandhälsa innebär att tänderna och munhålan är fria från smärtaeller obehag, samt att det finns en god tuggfunktion. Tandhälsa är en del av denallmänna hälsan och bidrar till välbefinnande hos människor.Syftet med studien var att undersöka kunskaper om tandhälsa och munhygienvanorhos 16-19- åringar med invandrarbakgrund. Ett ytterligare syfte var att undersökaderas uppfattningar om munhälsa.Material och metod: Studien är empirisk och kvantitativ och utfördes medanvändning av en enkät. Datainsamlingen gjordes vid tre gymnasieskolor i södraSverige. Två klasser från varje gymnasieskola valdes ut som hade högt antal elevermed invandrarbakgrund.

In today?s world urbanisation is an on-going process, cities are growing and becoming denser, and places for recreation gain value. Therefore, urban parks are much appreciated by people living in cities. When the first public parks where planned, their main function was to increase health, Hygiene, education and social life. In the middle of 19th century the meaning of public parks to people?s wellbeing gained attention and parks were planned to provide space for lively activities. This paper focuses on parks? activities.

SAMMANFATTNING Sedan lång tid tillbaka har hangrisar kastrerats för att undvika ornelukt, en fekal-urinliknande doft som uppkommer i galtkött vid tillagning. Kastrationen är smärtsam och forskarna letar nu efter alternativ till det kirurgiska ingreppet. I denna litteraturstudie har jag valt att fokusera på hur man kan hindra produktion och upplagring av orneluktsämnena androstenon och skatol i subkutant fett genom att förändra grisarnas miljö. StallHygienen har visat sig ha betydelse för ornelukt där smutsiga grisar har betydligt högre halter skatol i subkutant fett än rena grisar. Även ljus och temperatur har en inverkan på orneluktsämnena. Höga temperaturer och korta ljusperioder ger ökade halter av androstenon och skatol.

Syfte: Att beskriva följsamheten av handhygien hos hälso- och sjukvårdspersonal och hur följsamheten av handhygien hos sjuksköterskor kan ökas. Metod: Litteraturstudie med beskrivande design. Data samlades in från databaserna PubMed och Cinahl. Resultatet baserades på 12 artiklar. Resultat: Den generella följsamheten av handhygien hos hälso- och sjukvårdspersonal var låg men sjuksköterskor tenderade att ha en något högre följsamhet än övrig personal.

This work is about euthanasia and how to use it on horses, dogs and cats. A description for each animal is done, about when it is time, why, which methods can be used and who is allowed to use them, how and where it shall be done. The methods we have concentrated on are: - Chemical destruction and the most common drugs for euthanatize horses, dogs and cats. - Physical disruption of the brain activity by a captive bolt, only for horses. The captive bolt only makes the horse unconscious and must always be followed by cutting off the vena jugularis. Then the horse dies because of loss of blood. No matter which method used for euthanizing, the animal must be declared to be dead by the operator before other measures. The testing criteria for death: muscle relaxation and cyanosis, cessation of reflex activity and pupillary dilatation, cessation of respiratory activity and cessation of all cardiac activity.

Studiens syfte var att beskriva hemodialyssjuksköterskors kunskaper om fosfater, livsmedel med ett högt fosfatinnehåll samt förmågan att omsätta den kunskapen till ett dagsintag. Metod: Designen var deskriptiv med komparativa och korrelerande inslag. En egenkonstruerad enkät användes med kunskapsfrågor som var indelad i tre teman; kroppen, livsmedel och dagsintag. Totalt 19 hemodialysenheter besvarade enkäten vilket gav en undersökningsgrupp med 181 respondenter. Statistiska uträkningar gjordes för sammanställande av antal poäng per tema och korrelation mellan kön, ålder, antal år som sjuksköterska och antal år inom dialys.

This work is about silage contaminated with slugs (Arion lusitanicus). The hypothesis was: Do slugs affect the nutritional value and Hygiene quality of silage? During the winter season 2007/2008 silages were discarded in big amounts due to the contamination of slugs. Both the Swedish Farmer Association (LRF) and the National Veterinary Institute (SVA) received phone calls from farmers and animal owners about contaminated silage. The Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) and SVA decided to initiate this project as a master thesis.

This thesis within the field of Integrated Product development at the Royal Insitute ofTechnology, performed at Primary Development Dishcare at AB Electrolux, is supposed to finda solution to enhance the Hygiene inside an Electrolux dishwasher. The outcomes of this thesisare functional prototypes to evaluate the efficiency of disinfection by the use of Ultra VioletLight and Ozone.The thesis has followed Electrolux Primary Development process, with delivarables andcheckpoints.Ultra violett light with a wavelength of around 264 nm penetrates through the cell wall ofbacteria and micro organisms and causes a molecular rearrangement of the cells DNA. Thisprevent the bacteria from reproducing and it is considered dead. Commonly used UV-C lampstransmits the wavelength 254 nm which is very close to the optimum for germicidal action.A competitive brand have reacently launched a dishwasher claiming to achieve greaterdisinfection with an UV feature. This dishwasher was tested during the thesis and proven tohave a very low effect on the hygienic result.Two prototypes were devolped and tested for UV disinfection of dishware.
