This degree projekt deals with Skanska´s safety at the construction site with focus on personal safety equipment. The purpose of this dissertation is to examine how the rules of personal safety equipment are applied and experienced at Skanska´s construction sites.In October 2004 Skanska started a projekt to make the construction sites more safe. With use of a questionnaire we have made a survey at different construction sites. 80 questionaires have been handed out to Skanska´s employees in the southeast region. While they were handed out we conrolled if the employees at Skanska´s construction sites used head protection, easy visible clothing, safety shoes and identification cards.The result of the survey shows how the rules are applied.

The aim of this study was to investigate the social behaviour and time budget of breedingbulls kept at VikingGenetics, Falkenberg in Sweden when the staff was off duty. It was ofinterest to see if there was any difference between bulls housed in group pens and bullshoused in individual pens. It was also of interest to investigate if there was any differencein the behaviour between the dairy breeds Swedish Red (SR) and Swedish Holstein (SH).Sixteen bulls were used in this study. Eight bulls kept in individual pens and eight bullskept in group pens were used. The individually housed bulls had a social gate with widerbars where the bulls could but their head and neck through to have social contact with thebulls in its neighbouring pens.

To compare different techniques for these objectives this project was initiated.

Abstract The purpose of this project is to develop a modular processor card which is intended to work as a platform for Kitron Development Karlskoga. The modular processor card is meant to be used as a control system in development projects, mainly in medical and industrial products. The processor card will consist of a central unit with the basic functions for a control system. Furthermore there will be complete modules with machine commodity and programming, to pick exactly the necessary functions for a specific application. With consideration to the specification of the development and the main unit, I chose an adequate microprocessor (AT90CAN32) as core and interface circuits to stated border areas. The construction is first completed in the program MultiSim and then remade in the program OrCAD Capture. The programming language C was used in the software model.

This project is part of the course MF10YX, introductory mechatronics. The purpose of theproject is to integrate modules from the group members previous specializations into amechatronic system in the form of a self-balancing robot. The prototype ?Charlie? should be ableto race along a 10 - 30 m line. It should be able to start manually and autonomously detect andstop after the finishing line.

This is an investigation into the ways in which a group of librarians experience and make use of the intranet in their vocational role. The theoretical frame of reference consists of a model of how professionals seek information, which is based on a role-theory. As a method, I have applied a qualitative case-study. Using semi-structured qualitative interviews I have interviewed five librarians and the webmaster responsible for the intranet in their library. I have investigated how elements such as the age and vocational role of the librarians affect their use of the intranet.

The purpose of this project has been to cut production costs for the fascia panels ofGetinge?s largest autoclaves. The cost for the stainless steel plates currently used is veryhigh. An alternative material solution could cut costs significantly.In addition, improvements have been made to the instrument tower which is a central partof the fascia panel. As a result of the new modular design in a new material theinstrument tower has been improved in several aspects..

Today endless choices exist for a customer in the grocery store in terms of information, products, brands and prices. Consequently, it is important for retailers and brand owners to gain insights in how they can manage to break through the clutter to reach the customer. Displays that include some kind of motion element are assumed to possess an attention grabbing ability, which is a necessary first step in influencing the customer?s decision making. Therefore we have explored whether so called dynamic displays are efficient in grabbing attention and influencing customer behaviour.

The aim of this study was to examine how heads of unit in charge of personal assistance (PA)for the disabled experience and handle ethical dilemmas and situations within theirworkgroups when The Work Environment Act and The Swedish Act Concerning Support andService for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments collide with each other. The methodof the study was to use semi-structured interviews based around three main topics; the head ofunits opinions about the value and purpose of The Work Environment Act in theadministering and implementation of personal assistance services, the problem solvingprocess and the head of units own individual experiences of ethical dilemmas or workenvironment-related conflicts or situations within their workgroups. Four heads of unit wereinterviewed for this study. The results of this study showed that the interviewed heads of unitexperienced a lack of clear and factual information about how they were meant to solvedilemmas emerging from the two laws conflicting with each other regarding the rights of thecare recipient to layout their personal assistance to their liking, versus the rights of thepersonal assistant to have acceptable working conditions. The heads of unit could not rely onlegislation and/or other specific directive documents when work environment-relatedproblems arose.

Aim: To investigate the observed issues about the economy units? importation in the municipal of Bollnäs, Sweden, and study the internal communication according to this matter. Method: This paper is written as a process where the information flow has been decided by the information held in the interviews. The interviews have dealt with the economy units issues and the communication linked to it, within the oganization. The persons that have been interviewed are Olle Nilsson Sträng -principal of the municipal executive board, Leopold Stoltz - head of the municipal, Jan Lahenkorva? principal of the youth and child care board Maj ?Britt Karlsson? head of the youth and child care management and Eva Eklunddirector of junior school.

Examensarbete har utförts för AIAB DC Systems i Karlstad.Vår uppgift gick ut på att göra ett övervakningssystem för DC-system. Enheten skall användas för att övervaka isolerade DC-system avseende spänningsnivåer och isolation samt larma vid fel. Tidigare har man haft ett analogt system ute på marknaden men nu vill man ha ett digitalt processorbaserat system.Vi har använt oss av en 8-bitars RISC-processor. Programmeringen har gjorts i assembler med hjälp av ett utvecklings-kit och sköter logiken för övervakningen. Programmet manövreras med två tryckknappar och en display.Programmet vi har tagit fram behöver kompletteras med vissa funktioner.

This is a survey of different techniques that may be used for embedding geographicdata into web pages. Different models of GIS communication are examined and a testsubject in the form of an application is implemented and evaluated.The test application (?StudentKarta? eng. ?Student Map?) lets students submit theirresidential data and shows their position as pins on an embedded Map.An expire date is used to let the pins fade away and disappear.The application uses the popular Google map engines to display the geographicalpresentations.

Vårt examensarbete bestod i att för Kami AB i Kalix göra produktionsförbättringar i deras pressmaskin, som formar kuporna på takplåten. Kamis problem är att när plåten har matats genom pressen, ut på svängarmar för att sedan släppas ner på en rullbana, skadas plåten pga. den stora fallhöjden (ca 610 mm). Rullbanan har ej kunnat höjas upp därför att ett visst utrymme krävts för att operatören skall kunna utföra kontrollmätning av plåten dvs. mätning av kuplängd och kuphöjd.

Some head masters views on special education mandate ? What do head masters in primary and secondary schools expect from special educators? Skolutveckling och ledarskap, Specialpedagogik, Lärarutbildningen, Malmö högskola. I detta forskningsarbete vill vi undersöka hur väl specialpedagogprogrammets examensordning överensstämmer med de förväntningar som finns på vår kommande yrkesprofession bland rektorer ute på skolorna. Vi vill belysa detta från rektorers synvinkel eftersom det är de som anställer oss blivande specialpedagoger. Detta gör vi genom att tillfråga 50 slumpvis utvalda rektorer i Sverige. Det är våra tolkningar av de 25 inkomna svaren som ger oss en bild av hur rektorer ser på specialpedagogisk verksamhet. Vi sände ut en onlineenkät där rektorerna svarade på frågor om verksamheten, verksamhetens syn på elever i behov av särskilt stöd samt specialpedagogiska insatser. Frågeområden som vi anser ringar in vårt problemområde på ett relevant sätt. Undersökningen visade att rektorerna anser att den specialpedagogiska verksamheten är viktig men då budgeten är för snäv blir denna verksamhet lidande.
