Background: Because of the high unhealthy rates among women in the com-mune a project to reduce it have begun. For this reason we have been given the mission from the commune of Sotenäs to study the character of these women's health. Objective: To study the health among permanent employed women in the commune of Sotenäs. Method: Quantitative method. The data have been collected through question-naire survey.

In an attempt to prevent ground damage and to reduce harvesting costs, StoraEnso's districts Värmbodal and Fryken, selected a number of final felling areas where the base roads have been marked by planners in the districts. The parties involved in the experiment are mainly planners, harvester operators and forwarder operators. The purpose of this paper is to determine the findings of this trial and to find cost savings or lost revenue. This has been done with a sample of interviews from the involved parties who logged the chosen felling areas. Literature about the interview process has been used to facilitate data collection, interpretation and analysis of the material. If we look at profitability based on assumed income and expenditure, revenue per MWh would be 63 SEK.

The task of this project was to build an computer processing system for pressureregulation, in which the pressure loss over the open hydrolicvalve should be kept as low as possible. By using an cross connected proportional directional valve the valve problem could be solved. The control- and regulationproblem for the pressureregulation system was solved by using the DAQ- card NI6035E from National Instruments and the computerprogram Automatic Pressure Control 1.0 which has been software developed and written in Visual Basic. The final result showed that correct processvarible was obtained in 0,5 seconds, when the setpoint was changed in the testarea 0 - 2,5 MPa..

During the past years fire has been identified as an important factor for nature conservation in the forest landscape. To accurately quantify the size of a burnt area is obviously important, but also to quantify the degree of fire damage to the tree canopy. Such data are important for assessing the conservation value, and to support planning and management of the burned area in the future. I have examined how to estimate the status of tree crowns after fire from interpretation of aerial photographs. This is possible because fire changes the structure of tree crowns and this influences the colours in aerial photographs by spectral reflection. Included in the study are four areas, three of which burned in 2005 and one in 2006.

The problem being examined is the disturbing noise that is created in an open plan office on a company working with a creative process, such as a newspaper or a communications agency. The purpose of this study was to examine the needs for today for a sound absorber in open offices and create and design a design proposal. The aim is also to develop a marketing material the product proposal. The problem has been broken down into the following questions:- How does the user look at the need of a sound absorber in an open offices solution today?- Does an interior designer apply sound absorbers when they furnish the intended environment? - How can a design that meets the needs that exists be achieved and to speak the user?The study is based on three choice of methods a literature review on selected topics that relate to the topic, an interview with an interior designer to explore how an interior designer applies absorbers in open plan office and finally an extensive survey that treats the user's needs and appropriate appearance for the product proposal.The design process has undertaken the following methods, design brief, requirements specification, functional analysis and sketches to produce the final product proposal.

The aim for this essay is to investigate the importance of studying religion in an upper secondary school in Närke county, this is done by distribution of a questionnaire. The importance is studied both on the individual level and on the societal level. The result shows that although the students do not have a big interest in religious studies still the subject has an importance on both an individual and a society level..

Thinning is the partial removal of trees in a forest stand prior to final harvest. The term can be divided in pre-commercial thinning where little if any volume is removed from the stand and commercial thinning where removals are intended to provide a positive economic result. From a silvicultural point of view, the goal of thinning is to enhance future crop tree quality by removing low-quality stems and providing sufficient space for the accelerated development of retained ones (Huuskonen & Hynynen, 2006). The goals of this study was to see if commercial thinning could positively affect the short and medium term timber supply (MTTS) in the Interior regions of British Columbia (BC), and whether or not Scandinavian forestry practices could be adopted in the BC context. The mountain pine beetle (Dendroctonus ponderosae Hopkins) has created significant forest planning problems in BC. The annual allowable cut (AAC) was raised to capture beetle-killed timber while still merchantable.

Elever på gymnasiet ska enligt styrdokumenten ha inflytande över sitt eget lärande och alltså över de lärandesituationer som finns i skolan. Att så inte alltid är fallet visar flera undersökningar, och även detta examensarbete, vars syfte varit att undersöka elevinflytandet på ett estetiskt program, och i denna undersökning försöka gradera elevernas inflytande enligt en modell utarbetad av en konsult i inflytandefrågor. Syftet har också varit att undersöka hur elevernas inflytande gestaltar sig samt jämföra elevernas upplevelser med lärarnas intentioner vad gäller elevinflytandet. Undersökningen utgjordes av en noggrann granskning av styrdokument och rapporter gällande elevinflytande, av aktuell forskning, samt genom enkäter till alla elever vid ett estetiskt program på en skola i norra Skåne. De deltagande lärarna intervjuades.

Malmö Högskola Vårterminen 2009 Lärarutbildningen Säl III:2 Sammanfattning Vikten av uppvärmning före fysiskt arbete Målet med mitt examensarbete var bland annat att göra en undersökning hur det rent praktisk fungerar på byggarbetsplatser med morgonuppvärmning före fysiskt arbete. Jag ville ta reda på om morgonuppvärmning är ett bra verktyg för byggfolket som kan bidra till att klarar ett längre arbetsliv i byggbranschen än tidigare. De kunskaper jag inhämtat under mitt arbete hoppas jag ska motivera byggeleverna att tillägna sig morgonuppvärmning i sitt arbetsliv i byggbranschen. För att nå mitt mål med undersökningen så gjorde jag sammanlagt sex stycken intervjuer på byggarbetsplatser, sedan hade jag även gruppsamtal med byggnadsarbetarna om morgonuppvärmning på deras arbetsplats. Jag gjorde också fyra telefonintervjuer med personer från olika byggföretag som delvis var insatt i ämnet morgonuppvärmning. Hämtade in information från skrifter och publikationer där man uttalar sig om hälsosamt levnadssätt i allmänhet samt rörelsesätt som gör kroppen gott.

De underordnade syftena var vidare att undersöka elevers inställning dels till ämnet historia samt till det faktum att historia skall bli kärnämne på gymnasiet. Detta gjordes genom en enkätundersökning. Även lärares syn på historia som kärnämne undersöktes och analyserades utifrån ett antal intervjuer. De metoder som användes i arbetet var litteraturstudier, kvantitativa enkätundersökningar, kvalitativa intervjuer samt komparation.

Causticising department is the final step in the chemical recycling unit. There, the filtered green liquor is mixed with lime to recover the cooking chemicals used in the pulp factory. The cooking liquid is called white liquor.

This report presents thesis of Liisa Kokkonen in collaboration with Muovikilpi Oy.The project?s goal is to find a new construction for an existing lamp made of acrylic. Form and design retains and the manufacturing occurs at Muovikilpi Oy. The project contains the new construction and manufacturing of the lamp and also a proposition for a set with floor and wall lamp.  The paper gives an outline of acrylic as material and how it reacts with light.

The requirements of good quality and appetizing fast food increases continuously as a consequence of a community where food is always available. The crispiness of French fries is an issue that must be considered in this context, since it tends to decrease and give the fries a soft surface not appreciated by the consumer. To prolong the crispiness, the fries can be coated by a batter, a mix of starches. The batters used often consists of modified starches, e.g. cross-linked, acetylated and dextrinizated to increase and prolong crispiness, flour to stabilize the batter and sodium bicarbonate to make the batter ?rise?.The cross-linked starch keeps the granules in a swelled state and prevents them from breaking when exposed to heat or processing: therefore, it delays the gelatinization and decreases the stickiness of the batter.

Syftet med undersökningen är att se hur lärare och elever anser att lärare inom det estetiska programmet på två gymnasieskolor i Kalmar län uppfyller styrdokumentens strävansmål och krav på elevers inflytande över planering, utvärdering och utformande av undervisningen. Vi undersöker hur eleverna själva upplever att de får ha inflytande över sina egna studier samt hur viktigt de anser det vara att få påverka hur deras skolgång ser ut. Tidigare forskning visar att elevers inflytande över planering och utvärdering av undervisning sker på lärarens, eller skolans, villkor. Det handlar mer om att eleverna får bekräfta att lärarens planering är bra, än att de själva får påverka hur den ska se ut. I undersökningen, som utgörs av kvalitativa forskningsintervjuer, intervjuas fyra gymnasielärare på estetiska programmet från två gymnasieskolor i Kalmar län.
