Lansen Technology is a security company from Halmstad, Sweden and their focus indeveloping and selling alarm solutions. One of their latest inventions is a vibration sensor thatrecognizes very small movements in the ground.The thesis work was made in cooperation with Lansen Technology AB and the task was toinvent a test equipment that decides whether the sensor is working correctly. Denna uppsats syftar till att beskriva olika idéer om demokratiskt deltagande som förekommer i läroböcker i samhällskunskap för gymnasiet. De tre läroböckerna som undersökts har varit gällande under tre olika läroplaner för svensk gymnasieskolan. Undersökningens teoretiska ramverk bygger på Thomas Englunds utbildningskonceptioner. Med hjälp av idealtyper baserade på dessa olika utbildningskonceptioner har en textanalys genomförts. Undersökningens resultat visar att de identifierade utbildningskonceptionerna skiljer sig åt bland de tre undersöka böckerna.  .

The bioenergy market has been introduced relatively late in a perspective of the Swedish forestry. Nowadays branches and tops are used more frequently as bioenergy after harvesting. Therefore, it has developed a competitive situation between pulpwood and bioenergy. This situation has even established some questions. Two examples of these are: ? At what top diameter should the final piece of pulpwood be crosscut to get the best economically result? ? Should the top diameter, at the final piece of pulpwood, be crosscut at a thicker or smaller diameter than what is done today? The purpose of this report is to answer these two questions when the harvesting is made motor manually in beech stands.

Syftet med denna studie var att ge en fördjupad förståelse för lärares tillvägagångssätt vid betygsättning och bedömning av Engelska på gymnasiet. Vid undersökningen genomfördes kvalitativa forskningsintervjuer med sex engelsklärare verksamma på gymnasiet. Resultatet visade fyra huvudprinciper som lärarna använder vid betygsättning: ?principen att utgå från kursplanen?, ?principen att inte tappa fokus?, ?principen att värna om eleven? samt ?principen att hitta en avgörande faktor?. Studien visade att lärarna huvudsakligen följer Skolverkets anvisningar för betygssättningen, men att hälften av lärarna i undantagsfall använder principer som faller utanför Skolverkets intentioner.

The theme of this thesis is citizen participation in the planning- and design process. It turns to everyone that studies landscape architecture or work as landscape architects and I hope that it can function as a ground for discussions as well as a source for inspiration. SammanfattningSyfte och frågeställningarIntentionen med studien är att undersöka hur idrottslärare uppfattar begreppet idrott och hur detta återspeglas i undervisningen. Vad för definition har idrottslärare på begreppet idrott?Vad har lärarna för syn på tävlingsmoment i undervisningen?Vilka svårigheter finner lärarna kring bedömning inom ämnet?MetodFör att samla in de data som behövdes för studien användes kvalitativa intervjuer. Urvalsgruppen bestod av fyra lärare som undervisar i ämnet idrott och hälsa i samtliga årskurser, lågstadiet till och med gymnasiet.ResultatResultaten visar att lärarnas definition av idrott delvis speglas i deras tidigare erfarenheter men att det inte påverkar undervisningen i någon större utsträckning. Tävlingsmomentet ses som en motivationsfaktor men även något som kan ha en hämmande effekt på elevens prestation och inlärning. Svårigheter finns även i bedömningen då den är subjektiv, dock upplever lärare som varit verksamma inom ämnet en längre tid inte samma svårigheter som de mindre erfarna.SlutsatsStudiens resultat visar att ens tidigare erfarenheter av idrott har betydelse för hur man definierar det, dock verkar detta inte påverka undervisningens upplägg.Samtliga lärare är överens om att tävling motiverar många elever.

The purpose of this study is to examin the depiction of culturalmeetings in history books in relatioon to the schoolguidelines, and how and why the description may have changed over time. To achieve this, a qualitative method was used to analyze the content of cultural meetings in Swedish schoolbooks after the World War II. The material used in the study was taken from eight editions of Alla tiders historia published between 1985-2011. The material was then put together and analyzed from the theoretical perspectives, which try to explain the factors that influenced the depiction of the texts.The results of this study shows, that over time, the school guidelines have incresed their focus on human value and the need for students to interact with people from other cultures. The depictions in the history books lives upp to the demands of the school guidelines, but this study shows that the main influence of the content of the book is the social context.

BACKGROUND: Project based structures has become more and more common in the organizations of today. As the project based structures are given a more central role in the organizations the interdependencies between the projects are getting more attention. These structures need a new type of control to meet the unique challenges that arise. The researchthat has been done has been concentrated around the project form and the projects internal control, the area of multi-project management is therefore relatively unexplored. The few existing studies on the subject focus on projects in the construction industry why research inmore complex fields of business have been requested.PURPOSE: The purpose of this thesis is to explore and analyze how knowledge intense multi-project organizations manage their project activities, and to determine how different organizational characteristics affect the need for management control systems.METHODOLOGY: The empirical data has been collected through interviews with personnel in BT Products R&D, Gambro R&D and AstraZeneca Development.

As a project in advertising and graphic design the goal was to create a print campaign and a new logo for the train ticket Interrail. The project started with research, in which target groups were analyzed and defined, arguments for the campaign was decided and someguiding values for the logo were defined. This final thesis is a basic inquiry into a countryside programme for the municipality of Hässleholm. By interviewing people who live in the countryside in the municipality of Hässleholm I?ve tried to get a picture of how the thoughts on development of countryside are. Trough these interviews I?ve also tried to find out how people on the countryside defines the concept of countryside.

I denna uppsats studeras textuella drag i elevtexter som bedömts med högsta betyg på de nationella proven i svenska på gymnasiet. Proven som undersöks är från tre olika år; 1996, 2003 och 2013. Syftet är att se om det finns förändringar över tid bland de textuella drag som kan kopplas till kvalitet. Texturvalet spänner över både en kursplansrevision och ett läroplansskifte.Kvantitativa och kvalitativa analyser utförs på totalt 24 stycken elevtexter. De textuella variabler som undersöks är textlängd, ordlängd, andel långa ord, meningslängd, läsbarhetsindex, ordvariationsindex, talspråksformer, styckeindelning, fundament samt inledning och avslutning.

The purpose of this paper is to test a procedure that would be useful for a certain, more final purpose. Assume that you want to know if the differences in the result of a certain effort in health care have any connection with differences between the life situations of the patients. This would be easier to investigate if the life situations of the patients had connection to the easily available variable Health Care Cost (in Swedish VK). In that case the searching for connections between VK of patient groups and the result of health care efforts would be sufficient to gain knowledge of possible connection between health care efforts and life situations. Syftet med studien var att ta fram en utvecklingskurva för internationella toppsimmare inom simsättet frisim. Målet var att ta fram en generell utvecklingskurva för de fem åren innan en simmare uppnår 900 FINA-poäng första gången. The purpose of this study is to investigate and increase the understanding of how the two commercial companies IKEA and SAS and the two aid organizations/nonprofit organizations UNICEF and Save the Children use perceptions of Christmas to produce messages in their Christmas advertising/commercial film. The study also discusses if there may be communicative and pictorial similarities and differences in how these brands constructs messages in commercials, and why it may be that the brands choose to use these messages in commercials based on the recipient possible interpretations. The theories used in this study are promotional culture, framing theory, preferred meaning, semiotics (denotation and connotation), myth and rhetoric (ethos, pathos and logos). The method used to answer the purpose and issues are the qualitative method that uses the theories semiotic and rhetoric to analyze the material. The study's results derived from the qualitative content analyzes of the material (the brands IKEA, SAS, UNICEF and Save the Children Christmas advertising films) show that IKEA message might want to show that they want to help the customer and that they pay attention to the customer needs.
