The purpose of this essay is to study the coming into being of two newly built public libraries in Sweden, Malmö public library and Linköping public library. In both cases, the architect was appointed through a competition. We have examined the degree of importance that one has put on the buildings functionality and aesthetics, respectively. Furthermore we have studied how the cooperation between library staff and the architects has worked, and finally we have studied to which degree the parties involved think that the interests of the users has been taken into concern. The first main chapter of the report is an overview of the literature found on the subject where we present theories on library architecture used in Sweden as well as abroad.

Metod: Uppsatsens ansats är abduktiv med ett intensivt/deskriptiv upplägg. Metoden är kvalitativ där fem intervjuer har genomförts med respondenter från Kodens intressentgrupper. Teoretiska perspektiv: Då uppsatsen bygger på Kodens roll som förtroendefrämjare behandlar referensramen etik och dess betydelse för förtroende. Även förtroendebegreppet behandlas ingående och dess betydelse investerare och ägare i företag.

This report covers the conceptual design of a new one person hybrid vehicle that is to be fast and convenient to drive on the roads. The vehicle is most of all supposed to be used as a commute vehicle but can also be used at other occasions as well.During the work with this project the group has focused on three larger areas, the outer design (body), wheel chassis and an ergonomically designed interior. The group was not able to just create these parts in 3D to get a trustworthy vehicle, hence number of other components and details were also created to get a better entirety.The outer design starts with idea generation and sketches and ends with a 3D model which is rendered to show how the final product is going to look. The design of the body has been going on during the entire work process due to new ideas and improvements that seemed interesting and had to be changed.The wheel chassis also started with idea generation, research and sketches. It ended up with a simulated 3D model which later on was mounted on the vehicle body to show how the vehicle is going to perform during usage.

Uppsatsen tar sin utgångspunkt i tidigare forskning och rapporter kring hur man kan bedöma skolornas skilda resultat och kvalitet. Utöver mer vanligt använda mått och nyckeltal för att bedöma skolor tar modellen även hänsyn till vad eleverna i de olika skolorna tycker genom att inkludera tre frågor från Stockholms gymnasieundersökning. Syftet med uppsatsen är att utifrån detta skapa ett illustrativt jämförelseverktyg i form av ett spindeldiagram. De skolor som ingår i undersökningen är kommunala gymnasier med Stockholms Stad som huvudman och de data som använts är för samhällsprogrammet och handels- och administrationsprogrammet. Variablerna som valts ut följer en årskull elever från grundskolebetyget när de börjar gymnasiet, vad de svarat i gymnasieundersökningen i årskurs två (tre aspekter), till vilka avgångsbetyg de får när de slutar gymnasiet.

        This is a report that describes the entire process of design of a measuring station for rolling resistance. The report is structured with elements of Fredy Olsson's method.The report also includes a brief presentation of HGF, the company that will manufacture the machine. Requirements and preferences are set up and used in a weighting of criteria by which product suggestions are based. These suggestions are used in the evaluation to produce a final draft product. Solutions to major functions are produced by criteria?s. Arbetet handlar om boksamtal i litteraturundervisningen i svenskämnet på gymnasiet. Undersökningens syfte är att ur lärares perspektiv undersöka vilken syn de har på boksamtalet, vad de anser att man kan uppnå med boksamtalet och även se vilka faktorer som påverkar utformandet av ett boksamtal. För att se vilka riktlinjer som gäller för boksamtal i litteraturundervisningen har jag studerat skolplaner, lokala skolplaner och styrdokument. Det visade sig att kommunaliseringen av skolan skapat olika villkor i olika kommuner. Där vissa kommuner kämpar med problem kring elevernas sjunkande läsförståelse satsar andra kommuner istället på att förse eleverna med bärbara datorer.

Studien som utförts analyserar ur ett sociosemiotiskt och multimodalt perspektiv vilka resurser läromedlet "Insikter i svenska" använder sig av. Läromedlet är riktat mot ungdomar i första året på gymnasiet som läser en yrkesinriktad utbildning. Studien redogör för ett antal utgångspunkter för multimodal bildanalys och påvisar även att lärmedlet innehåll ett antal av dessa resurser. .

I denna uppsats studeras textuella drag i elevtexter som bedömts med högsta betyg på de nationella proven i svenska på gymnasiet. Proven som undersöks är från tre olika år; 1996, 2003 och 2013. Syftet är att se om det finns förändringar över tid bland de textuella drag som kan kopplas till kvalitet. Texturvalet spänner över både en kursplansrevision och ett läroplansskifte.Kvantitativa och kvalitativa analyser utförs på totalt 24 stycken elevtexter. De textuella variabler som undersöks är textlängd, ordlängd, andel långa ord, meningslängd, läsbarhetsindex, ordvariationsindex, talspråksformer, styckeindelning, fundament samt inledning och avslutning.

Background: It is today common for companies to provide some sort of incentive for CEO's and senior management positions to motivate, retain and benefit employees within a company. This is in order to drive the goals of the CEO and management in the direction that is desired by the owner. Currently, the Swedish centre-right government has forbidden the use of such variable pay within state-owned companies. There are two different attitudes to variable pay, one that is in favour and one that rejects it. However most people agree on the fact that a well-functioning incentive scheme can be of great strategic importance for a company.Approach: has variable pay to CEO's had any effect on the company's profitability.Aim: the aim of the study is to compare companies who use variable pay to CEO's with companies that do not in relation to their profitability in terms of profit margins, yearly performance, returns on total capital and returns on equity.Method: the study uses a quantitative approach.

Visualization plays a key role in the concept of Lean. Lean was developed in Japan as a business philosophy in order to lead to an activity, where only steps that contribute to customer value of the final product are being performed. By defining the customer value and establish visualized standards, it is possible to see when situations differ from the standard. Then it?s possible to lead the process back on track.

The division of Engineering Materials at Linköping University, department of Management and Engineering, conducted a research project concerning Fatigue life of thermal barrier coatings during 2009. During this project equipment to provoke these fatigue failure by rapidly heating and cooling test subjects in cycles, was ordered.Design and manufacturing of the equipment was handled internally at LIU.The equipment was built using a furnace that is lowered and raised over the table where the test subject is placed. To keep the temperature of the furnace a lid slides in place to close the downward facing opening of the furnace when it is in the raised position. On this door there is nozzle that is used to cooling of the test subject by air.To make sure that the equipment can work independently you need an automation controller that can evaluate if movement can occur without danger of collisions. The control system also needs to monitor that all elements are performed according to plan.This degree project is based on a modular system from OPTO 22 and includes the configuration of a PLC that will be supplied with logic and a user interface.The degree project resulted in a graphic interface in which a user can set desired values for different parameters and get information about current values for them.

When it comes to land and forest holding a special need of knowledge and experience is needed to be able to act professionally.

The study examines how social media can be used in a business-to-business context. To understand the communication conditions, factors has been identified that affects the choice of communication channels for different types of information transferred between parts. Furthermore, the study investigates the underlying reasons for why certain communication channels are chosen before others, in different situations. The study results are based on qualitative semi-structured interviews with employees in a small engineering consulting company. The investigation has focused on employee communication and choice of communication tools primarily in relation to the business relationship.

Waara (2009) menar att människor är mobila i olika utsträckning i förhållande till åldern. I åldern 19-23 är vi som mest mobila och villiga att flytta för utbildning eller arbete. Det finns dock även de ungdomar som väljer att flytta redan i samband med att de påbörjar sina gymnasiestudier. Syftet med föreliggande studie är således att undersöka ungdomars upplevelse av att flytta hemifrån vid 15-16 års ålder för att för att läsa gymnasiet på annan ort än i hemkommunen. De drivkrafter vilka ligger bakom ungdomarnas val belystes med hjälp av fem djupintervjuer med ungdomar från olika delar av Norrbotten som alla hade flyttat till Luleå.
