Title: Learning to read music notation on the guitar ? an analysis of various guitar schools on the market with added own examples. Purpose: To analyse currently available teaching materials on the subject of guitar notation on the market. A comparative analysis is made of five chosen books on the topic. Four criteria for the analysis of these five books are stated: 1) Structure and progression of the study of reading music on the guitar.

This is a study in my preparations for my final concert at the Academy of Music and Drama- ?????????? University. My aim is to create a plan and a schedule for my practising methods and other preparations so I will be able to perform at the top of my ability.I have studied and chosen a collection of methods that will help me prepare for my concert and at the same time develop my oboe playing. This project is about development of virtual drums for iPhone and iPad. The project aims to provide the company Toontrack AB with a good foundation to build drumbased apps. The focus has been on getting a quick response when playing and that user interfaces should be easy to use, intuitive and customizable. The result is impressive and both audio and graphics are of excellent quality thanks to good collaboration with Toontrack, that previously has developed drum-based software. The drum kit offers a variety of articulations and even the ability to play various dynamics, although the screens are not pressure sensitive..

This work deals with mathematics teaching in preschool classes. The purpose of my study is to investigate the preschool classes? teachers' aspirations for the children learning mathematics in two different preschools. To achieve my goal, I formulated the following questions to be explored and answered through interviews with five teachers.  Does mathematics in preschool classes have a prominent role in educators' planning? What perception do the educators in the field have about the learning and teaching of mathematics in the preschool classes? How do the teachers understand their own work with mathematics in preschool classes in relation to multilingual students?                                A qualitative interview method was applied.

Den här uppsatsen undersöker kompositionsprocessen av ett 48 minuter långt sammanhängande verk med en genrebred ensemble. Upphovspersonen avsåg att skapa en stilistiskt fungerande helhet där sex klassiska musiker, fyra jazzmusiker och åtta sångare samverkar med en förprogrammerad elektroakustisk stämma i surround. Även den elektroakustiska stämmans tillkomstprocess redogörs för, liksom de olika lösningar som behövdes för att, både musikaliskt och tekniskt, passa ihop den med ensemblen. Frågan om synkronisering mellan ensemblen och den elektroakustiska stämman tas upp, liksom lösningar av balansproblem. Valet att inte förstärka instrumenten elektriskt medförde ett stort ansvar hos upphovspersonen att instrumentera musiken omsorgsfullt och justera såväl rummet som vissa instrument.

In this thesis I try to find ways to be more independent and conscious in my interpretation of the music which I am playing. To be able to be more sure of myself and my own decisions I try to find methods on how to achieve this. The methods includes reading articles about interpretation, interviewing musicians and interpret and perform music. The pieces I have chosen are a solosuite by Max Reger, a concerto by Georg Philipp Telemann and a clarinet sonata by Johannes Brahms. I made some concerts where I try to achieve my goals.

The mobile jukebox is an idea for a new kind of smartphone application that would allow users to dictate the music playing at various establishments. The mobile nature of the innovation allows for the possibility of a more ubiquitous service. Conducting a quantitative as well a qualitative study, the authors have found significant interest in this innovation service among potential users and potential distributors of the service. Furthermore, it is shown what aspects are important for decision makers to make a decision on whether to integrate the service into the operation of potential distributors of the service.  .

Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka hur instrumentalpedagoger motiverar elever att öva på sina instrument för att utveckla musikaliska färdigheter. Forskningsfrågorna i vår studie var följande: Vilka faktorer anser instrumentalpedagoger vara viktiga för att eleven skall bli motiverad att öva? Hur gör instrumentalläraren för att uppmuntra eleven att öva? På vilka sätt uppfattar instrumentalpedagoger att elevens övning påverkas av musikaliska förebilder? I denna uppsats har vi valt att använda oss av en kvalitativ intervjustudie. I studien har vi intervjuat sex verksamma instrumentalpedagoger vid två olika Kulturskolor i Norrbottens län. Studien visar på att det finns många olika faktorer som är viktiga för att eleverna skall bli motiverade att öva.

In this study I have explored five parents reasoning about toys, from a gender perspective. During the interviews, we have reasoned about toys that are made for girls and for boys, what the differences are, and what advantages and disadvantages there might be for children to play with a variation of toys, made for both genders. The results of the study show that most of the participants are more accepting for girls playing with toys made for boys than the other way around, which indicates that boys? experience of the world might be somewhat limited, while girls have easier access to toys made for both genders..

Title: Am I doing what I think I am doing when I am practicing? A self study in practicing. The purpose of this study is to determine whether I do what I think I do when I practice. The reason for this is to make myself a better teacher as well as a musician. By gaining knowledge about my own practicing I will be able to guide future students in their own practicing in a better way.

Undersökningen är fokuserad på vilken relation lärare och elever har till skriftspråket. Vi har undersökt hur medvetna lärare och elever är gällande skriftlig korrekthet. Vi har även undersökt hur sociala medier och mobiltelefoner påverkar språket. Hur eleverna ställer sig till skriftspråket och om de bryr sig om att skriva korrekt är även någonting som studien är riktad till. Vi har studerat vilka verktyg både lärare och elever har till hjälp för att utveckla ett korrekt skriftspråk.

This report is about finding the cooperative elements in games and making a boardgame based on them. I tested different computer games and boardgames to try and get the cooperative elements and then I make a boardgame based on what I found.What I found during testing is that to be a fully cooperative game all players on the same team must win or lose together and one player should not be able to finish the game by herself. There are of course some things that can change this for example what kind of players are playing.My best advice is that you should decide that the game is fully cooperative from the beginning and build the game from that..

I detta arbete har jag undersökt vilka erfarenheter fyra verksamma musiklärare på grundskolans högstadium har av att jobba med ensemblespel i undervisningen. Syftet var att ta reda på vilka erfarenheter de har av ensembleundervisning i allmänhet, samt vilka förutsättningar de anser att arbetsmetoden kräver. Jag ville även veta hur informanterna såg på skillnader i kunskapsnivåer hos elever, hur detta påverkade undervisningen samt vilka metoder de använde för att anpassa undervisningen till alla elever. Resultatet jag har kommit fram till visar att de intervjuade lärarna har en positiv syn på ensembleundervisning. Faktorer som styr undervisningen är styrdokument, gruppstorlekar, tidsramar, lokaler och utrustning.
