Syftet med denna uppsats var att undersöka i vilken utsträckning elever anser att de använde musikteoriämnet under ensemblelektioner på musiklinjen på gymnasiet, samt om och i så fall hur eleverna anser att teoretiska kunskaper påverkade deras ensemblespel. Det andra syftet var att ta reda på i vilken utsträckning elever anser att deras lärare i ensemble samtalade med dem om hur musikteorin kan användas på ensemblelektionerna. Genom enkätundersökning samlades data om detta in från elever på gymnasiet. Dessa data granskades sedan med hjälp av den sociokulturella teorin. Respondenterna svarade väldigt olika på hur vanligt det är att de själva använder musikteorin under ensemblelektionerna.

The purpose of this study is to investigate witch knowledge and thoughts children will have about the term of floating and sinking, and witch possibilities there is to make various knowledge visible in preschool physics through playing with water. The study also concern the differences and similarities between two different groups of age who have participated in the study. The study was carried out by an activity with participant observation and feedback interviews afterwards. The result shows that the possibilities to physics are many in preschool. The children expressed new thoughts and ideas who concern other phenomena in physics during the investigation and discussed similar experiments and material to examine.

Syftet med vår undersökning är att beskriva och få en djupare förståelse i vilka metoder ensemblelärare på estetprogrammet, inriktning musik, använder för att skapa ett lärande som främjar samspelet mellan instrumentalister och sångare. För vår undersökning har vi valt att intervjua fem verksamma ensemblelärare på tre olika estetgymnasium fördelade på tre kommuner, två i Norrbotten och ett i Västerbotten. Vi planerade även att observera en vardera av ensemblelärarnas lektioner innan intervjun ägde rum. Observationerna nedtecknades med en observationstabell. Intervjuerna spelades in och skrevs ner ord för ord för att sedan sammanställas.

ABSTRACTThe aim of this study is to analyze the aspects which have formed music-students? interest to perform music in various ways. Two of these aspects are family and school. Furthermore, -the study analyzes what music itself, and its performance mean in these students? social and personal lives.

The purpose of my study is to examine how four teachers reflect on free play and controlled play in preschool. What are their reflects concerning free play, controlled play and children?s development and education. The main focus of this research is the experiences of the teachers and I compare their perspectives against each other regarding free and controlled play.To be able to realize this study, I propose the following questions:What kind of vision does the teacher have concerning free play and controlled play?According to the teacher, how does playing affect the children?Which development areas are affected by participating in the play?This is a qualitative study, based on interviews with four teachers from two different preschools.

Syftet med uppsatsen var att studera hur ensemblelärare hanterar situationer där elever motsätter sig att delta i aktiviteten som läraren planerat att undervisa. Studien avgränsas till att undersöka situationer där en elev motsätter sig att medverka i instuderingen av ett musikstycke på grund av dess tillhörande genre. I den teoretiska bakgrunden presenteras forskning som relaterar till relevanta delar i styrdokument, musikens relation till individers identitet samt ensembleundervisningen som lärande situation. En kvalitativ intervjustudie genomförs med fyra ensemblelärare på gymnasienivå med syftet att samla data gällande hur de agerar i denna situation och deras bakomliggande tankeprocess. I resultatet visar det sig att de väljer att inleda ett resonemang med eleven som väljer att inte delta.

Technology evolves quickly, with innovative ideas growing everywhere. Still, no technology is anywhere near challenging the mouse and keyboard for navigation of your standard computer. This study focuses on comparing the traditional technologies of mouse and keyboard with the new technology of gestures - in this case Leap Motion - in purpose of finding how the usage differs and what the potential users want from the competing technology. The experiment was executed in a controlled environment, with as few external factors as possible. We found that although the test subjects found Leap Motion fun, the test subjects do not want to surf the web with gestures.

This report investigates digital games with focus on differences and similarities between children?s point of view when it comes to games focusing on learning compared to those focusing on entertainment. The approached group was children, 7 years old. The study contains investigations and analysis of how these children used games in both school and home environment. The most used theory ?8 theories of fun? by Marc LeBlanc (2004) raises the most important parts making a game fun.

Interaction is an important part of children?s development. The school is a main arena in which children learn to interact, mainly through their playing. This study aims at investigating the role of interaction in a leisure school didactic setting. The aim of the study is to gain a better understanding for how the pupils develop though use of social interaction.

The intention of this final thesis is to examine how to create a schoolyard that inspires children at the age of 6 ? 12 years to play and give them possibility to develop. To get a lot of knowledge in this subject, I have combined studies of literature with practical studies at Hosjöskolan in Falun. During my practical studies I have done interviews, walks in the area with the children and visited other schoolyards. I have based a design proposal for the schoolyard of Hosjöskolan on these studies.

Ångermanland has at the last five years lost 420 hockey players. This is a qualitative study that focus on investigating the main problems of dropouts among young hockey players and how ice hockey associations in Ångermanland act to find solutions to the problem. The main questions of the study are: How can the dropout problems in Ångermanland be understood or explained in terms of youth operators' perspective and what are the potential strategies that the ice hockey associations are using to deal with the dropout problem and what approaches to youth hockey is reflected in the youth operators' statements? The study was based on semi-structure interviews with 6 different ice hockey sports clubs in Ångermanland. The results showed that the leadership programs ought to be more educational, and more oriented toward understanding the children instead of mainly technical learning objectives about how to shoot, dribble, and skate.

This study is essentially based on my own questions concerning contemporary playgrounds. Why are they so unimaginative? What do the children say about them? Is it possible to create playgrounds less constructed, and with more natural elements? This report starts with references to literature studies, personal references and my personal view, and ends with a suggestion for a physical solution for an actual day care centre. The aim is to learn more about how the natural environment affects children, the importance of playing, and try to use this knowledge in a design of a day care centre. My main theme can be summarized in the following question: Why is natural elements in playgrounds considered to be healthy for children? I wanted to create a playground with natural characteristics which I myself would have appreciated as a child.

The purpose of this work was to investigate the early medieval view of the Bilical king David through the analysis of ten illuminations found in early medieval manuscripts in which he is depicted playing string instruments. First, a description of medieval manuscripts and king David and string instruments was presented, second, an analysis and a discussion of images as source material and an interpretation of the mythic and symbolic significance that is based on ideas presented by Paul Ricoeurs and Roland Barthes of the ten illuminations followed. The results showed that king David often was portrayed as a musical king, a dancer and a prophet that incarnated wisdom and justice; that king David served as a role-model for the Western regents, and that he was portrayed in an idealised and estethically appealing manner..

Arbetet har syftet att studera ergonomiska aspekter av pianoundervisning på kulturskolan. Vilka semiotiska resurser använder pianolärare när de undervisar utifrån ett ergonomiskt perspektiv, och hur används resurserna? Vilka förutsättningar skapar undervisningen vad gäller att förebygga kroppsliga och mentala spänningar i pianospelet hos elever? Ergonomi behandlar förhållandet mellan människa och arbetsmiljö i samband med redskap, i detta fall pianoinstrumentet i relation till hur musikern hanterar det. Undersökningen är ur ett multimodalt designteoretiskt perspektiv: läraren blir en designer av undervisningen som använder olika resurser för att forma förutsättningar för lärande. Den valda metoden är filmad observation i lektionssammanhang av pianolärare på Kulturskolan.

This essay investigates the results of participation by teenage girls in feminist groups, the so called girl groups. These groups are descendants of the awareness-raising groups of the 1970?s feminist movement. The essay assumes the relevance of theories of heteronormativity and performativity, as well as theories surrounding two different ways to organize girl groups. It is done either through the Pippi-feminism, named after strong independent book character Pippi Longstocking, or through the collective empowerment feminism.
