This study focuses on a specific organization of a Security Operations Center (SOC) as a case studyto first identify specific challenges related to the work process, preceding with identifying whichprinciples from various process models, such as agile and traditional methodologies from softwaredevelopment companies, can be implemented. Initially, the study presents relevant research on agile and traditional process models as well asresearch on SOC. Subsequently, six semi-structured interviews are planned and conducted withemployees within a specific SOC-type organization to identify the current work process and thechallenges affecting the organization?s work process. The results of this study indicate a description of the current work process in the organization aswell as a variety of challenges related to technical and organizational issues.

The purpose of this master thesis is to investigate how nearby forests affect the energy production in wind turbines. To reach the purpose a case study is performed on three wind turbines sited on a field in a north-south line at Andersfält in the municipality of Halmstad, Sweden. Approximately 100 meters south of the southern wind turbine a forest is situated. The case study is divided into three sub studies where the difference in energy production, the affect of the forest and a wind meteorology model, WAsP, is studied. The result show that the forest have a significant influence and that the WAsP-model gives an incorrect result of the energy production in wind turbines sited near a forest..

Syftet med studien är att skapa en fördjupad insyn i pedagogers upplevelser av huruvida och på vilka sätt pedagoger i förskolan arbetar med språket som verktyg för inkludering i en förskola för alla barn. Vi har fokuserat på att synliggöra faktorer som påverkar barns språkutveckling, hur pedagoger arbetar för att främja och stärka barns språkutveckling samt hur pedagogers visioner ser ut gällande alla barns rätt att utveckla sitt språk. Den metod som använts i studien är kvalitativa intervjustudier med verksamma pedagoger på olika förskolor. Resultatet visar på betydelsen av att ha mindre antal barn i barngrupp för att kunna arbeta på ett positivt sätt samt vikten av att skapa trygghet i syfte att se och gynna alla barns språkutveckling. Studien belyser möjligheter samt dilemman gällande hur en inkludering kan genomföras med hjälp av språket som verktyg.

I detta arbete fokuseras förhållandet mellan bilder och språk. Litteraturstudien behandlar vad en bild är, bildämnets historik, bild och inlärningsstilar. Här belyses hur bilden påverkar vårt minne och vår förmåga att förstå omvärlden. Möjligheter och svårigheter i arbetet med bilder lyfts också fram. Vidare redovisas resultatet från observationer gjorda i år 1-3 och i år 7-8.

Syftet med den här studien är att, med utgångspunkt i våra fallföretag, identifiera och beskriva de verktyg koncernledningar har att arbeta med och analysera hur dessa verktyg kan användas för att uppnå organisk tillväxt. Detta ska sedan mynna ut i konkreta råd till Trelleborgs koncernledning samt bidra till forskningen kring organisk tillväxt i koncerner. För att uppfylla detta syfte har vi gjort en kvalitativ fallstudie, omfattande två koncerner, där semistrukturerade intervjuer utgjort grunden för insamlandet av primärdata. Då få studier tidigare gjorts kring organiskt tillväxt i koncerner är studien gjord utifrån en abduktiv ansats med växelvis insamlande av data och relevanta teorier från flera olika forskningsområden. En teoretisk syntes har därefter byggts upp för att ligga till grund för analysen.

Debatten om den stigande arbetslösheten och det försvårande inträdet på arbetsmarknaden för utsatta grupper är högst aktuell. Med det som bakgrund riktade vi in oss på gruppen, individer med nedsatt funktionsförmåga och på gymnasiesärskolan. Vårt syfte med studien är att analysera hur studie- och yrkesvägledare på gymnasiesärskolor arbetar med vägledningsprocessen. Frågeställningen lyder; Hur arbetar man som studie- och yrkesvägledare för att hjälpa elever med funktionshinder att lära sig hjälp till självhjälp? Används kreativa verktyg i vägledningssamtal för att underlätta processen och i så fall, vilka? För att besvara våra frågor valde vi att göra en kvalitativ undersökning med 7 olika studie- och yrkesvägledare.

This text answers the questions how do we define what a campus is, how the concept of the campus came to exist and how it is used today, and how the Blekinge Institute of Technology (BTH) campus can be designed according to site conditions and the conclusions drawn from case studies at Chalmers University of Technology and Karlstad University. The purpose of the case studies is to gain insight into their campuses advantages and disadvantages. This finally results in an interpretation of how the Blekinge Institute of Technology campus can be planned. A campus is the area of land on which a college or university and its surrounding buildings resides on. Campus as a concept meant a field at first, it later evolved at American universities due to their design of college campuses.

The thesis aims to analyze strategic, cultural and structural aspects of Grameen Bank and its micro-credit project, in order to identify key success factors. A case study was performed with an inductive and qualitative approach, using semi-structured interviews. The data was collected by field observations and interviews on site in Dhaka, Bangladesh and surrounding areas.The main conclusion is that the critical success factor of Grameen Bank is the relationship focus, guiding and aligning its strategy, culture and structure. Also, local offices have been observed to utilize practices not permitted by the bank?s management, ultimately increasing the organizational efficiency..

På högskolenivå krävs det stor ambition av individen för att klara av de krav som finns. Vår studie vill öka förståelsen för hur unga högskolestudenter upplever stress samt hur deras fysiska träning kan vara ett verktyg för stresslindringen och identitetsskapandet. Socialpsykologiska teorier om identitetsskapande i ett senmodernt samhälle var utgångspunkten för att belysa fenomenet.

The aim of this study is to through six interviews, with six experienced, social workers?, in three cities, understand how the child?s position in the Swedish child protective services? enquiries has change, and the factors behind it. The theoretical approaches that was used is the new institutionalism, the Shier?s pathways to participation and the term discretion.

The objective of this study was to get a better understanding of how the cultivation methods influence the vitality in Prunus avium. The purpose was also to examine if there was any differences in shoot growth and trunk expansion depending on the method of cultivation. To find the answer to this question a literature study and a case study has been done. The literature study concerns the concepts vitality and stress. Different definitions of these concepts are shown and their connection whit establishment is explained. In the background the species Prunus avium, and the four method of cultivation that are included in this case study are described. Measurements of the shoot growth and trunk expansion were made in this study, and as a complement to these methods, a visual estimate of the vitality was made.

The purpose of this essay is to understand and analyze why people read a local newspaper and which needs it can fulfill. The newspaper indistry is changing and so is the way we consume news. Today the readers are seen as an active group of people who choose the media, which fulfills their needs in the best possible way. This essay is based on a case study of the local newspaper Barometern. We used a qualitative research method and have done eight interviews.
