This master thesis attempts to answerthe question if a startup with amaterial innovation needs a specialbusiness development model. Mainstreambusiness development literature is notwell adapted to the rigor of testing anew material and bringing it tomarket. This was studied using threedifferent methods. This paper examines the possibility of identifying votive offerings among a collection of stray finds in a Late neolithic material from one farm land on the island Hven.First, I identify the Late neolithic artefacts in a collection of stray finds and make a register as well as take photographes of the artefacts. Then I compare these stray finds with material from hoards found in Scania to analyz if any similarities arise regarding length, fragmentation and patina. Additionally, I use maps to identify wetlands and a field survey to help identify and discover important areas connected to votive offerings. There is a strong possibility that the stray finds collection contains some votive offerings because similarities can be found between the lengths of the stray finds and the materials from the hoards..

Skiftesverk 2.0 undersöker i vilken utsträckning en kontexts befintliga och historiska material, tekniker, former och strukturer kan användas i gestaltandet av ny bebyggelse. Detta för att hitta ett sätt att skapa ett mervärde i kontemporär arkitektur genom starkare kopplingar till en historisk kontext.Projektet beskriver ett sätt att utgå ifrån skiftesverk på Öland och sedan modernisera och omforma såväl själva byggtekniken som befintliga typologier. I presentationsmaterialet redovisas först teknikens bakgrund, historia och egenskaper tillsammans med material från fältstudier. Utifrån detta presenteras förslag på hur själva tekniken kan effektiviseras och industrialiseras. Sedan följer gestaltningar av en moderniserad version av skiftesverk i såväl teknik som traditionell form och byggstruktur.Projektet är tänkt att belysa ett sätt att förhålla sig till hållbar arkitektur i termer såsom inte bara ekonomiska utan även ekologiska och kanske även sociala aspekter..

The goal with our research has been to describe how often and in what way female athletes are represented in the sport section in Sweden?s biggest evening newspaper Aftonbladet. The material we?ve used are the newspapers that we collected during two weeks in 2008, the 3rd of November to the 9th of November and the 11th of November to the 17th of November. We?ve conduced two qualitative researches ? a text analysis and an image analysis ? and one quantitative analysis on our material.

Syftet med denna studie har varit att ta reda på hur det är att vara kvinna och äga och driva ett företag som har flera anställda. Jag valde att undersöka kvinnor som har flera anställda då jag tidigare inte funnit någon forskning på det området samt för att de flesta kvinnliga företagare är soloföretagare, vilket betyder att de inte har några anställda och företaget räknas som levebrödsföretag.För att få fram den kunskap som jag eftersträvade har jag använt mig av kvalitativ metod och djupintervjuer då jag samlade in mitt empiriska material. Då jag sedan analyserade detta material har jag använt mig av de analysmetoder som används inom grundad teori och narrativanalys.Resultatet blev följande. The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze how companies offering tailor made products on the internet, can work with their marketing and their customer relationships. The study will answer the purpose from a service management perspective and there will also be presented theories from an Electronic Commerce perspective.The starting point for this study was the qualitative method. The essay builds its empirical material from interviews with knowledgeable persons in the subject and the owner of the company whose products are tailor made and sold on the internet. It was conducted seven interviews, four of which were face-to-face, two conducted by mail and finally there was made a telephone interview.Conclusions have been drawn based on the empirical material and theory. The climate for video sharing online is somewhere in the border of becoming a place for only the big companies to distribute material with general interest, or small communities with genre-specific interest to attract a larger audience. In this article I will look at the travelindustry to see what possibilities can be implemented into communities with interest in planning and travelling. I will argue that the importance of collaboration with different media can create a bigger picture so that more people can use and discover each other?s travel videos and experiences. I have also taken a closer look at social interaction at online communities such as MySpace and YouTube.

The report examines the factors which may be a contributing cause to the problems that are present when ferritic stainless steel are eddy current tested in a warm condition. The work is carried out at Fagersta Stainless AB in Fagersta which manufactures stainless steel wire. In the rolling mill there is an eddy current equipment for detection of surface defects on the wire. The ferritic stainless steels cause a noise when testing and this noise complicates the detection of defects.Because of this, a study was made of how the noise related to factors such as steel grade, temperature, size and velocity. By observing the signal and with the possibilities to change the equipment settings the capability to let a signal filter reduce the noise level were evaluated.

The aim of this study is to increase knowledge about how a group of newly graduated social workers reflect on the practical daily work and their positions working with clients who are in need of social and/or economic resources. More precisely the purpose is to find out how these seven newly graduated social workers viewed working with clients during theoretical and practical studies. The aim is to analyze which techniques and methods could be seen in these narratives. Furthermore the aim was to find out if and how these seven social workers reflected on the power relation between social worker and client.The material of this study consists of seven semi-structured interviews. Throughout gathering the data and analyzing it, the qualitative method in form of narrative approach was used.

The aim of this two years master?s thesis in Archive, Library and Museum Studies is to analyse how Swedish cultural history museums work to include LGBTQ-heritage (LGBT is the acronym for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer) in their collections. This work is articulated around three research questions. These interrogate museum practice about collecting and collection management, what it looks like in the already gathered collections as well as the implications such work implies on a broader level. The theoretical framework throughout the paper is gender and LGBT studies as well as queer theory.

This study indicates that research about men and masculinity does not appear to have advanced as far as research about women and femininity. Similarly to attitudes concerning women and femininity, clear norms and attitudes regarding men and masculinity pervade society. Hence, there is a clear need for further research within this field to be carried out. This study, with the support of previous research, looks at gender norms which exist in educational material and the impact it might have on students. Against this backdrop, the author has focused the analysis on one textbook as educational material at upper secondary level with particular emphasis on masculinity and its associated norms.

Mitt arbete har kretsat kring begreppet hembygd. Jag har bland annat tittat närmre på hur ämnet hembygdskunskap såg ut då det mellan 1919 och 1955 fanns som fristående skolämne samt vilken relevans ämnet har för dagens skola. Genom en enkätundersökning och litteraturstudier har jag undersökt på vilket sätt dagens styrdokument betonar studier av och i närmiljön samt på vilket sätt pedagoger i Kävlinge arbetar med detta. Fokus har legat på metod och material. Trots styrdokumentens tydliga krav på verklighetsnära undervisning visar min undersökning att undervisning i och om närmiljön är tydligt eftersatt i Kävlinges låg- och mellanstadieskolor. Enligt pedagogerna är detta bland annat ett resultat av penga-, material-, idé- och tidsbrist.
