Hammarkullen tillkom under slutet av 1960- talet och början av 1970. Området har formats av den tidens ideal med breda vägar och uppdelade funktioner. I Hammarkullen har få förändringar och förbättringar gjorts sedan det blev till. Genom att studera området, hur det ser ut idag, kvaliteter och brister, samt genom analyser har jag valt att främst fokuserat mitt arbete på: ? komplettering av bebyggelse ? utveckling av den yttre miljön ? utveckling av torget Huvuddelen i mitt examensarbete ligger i planförslaget.

The purpose of this essay is to study the coming into being of two newly built public libraries in Sweden, Malmö public library and Linköping public library. In both cases, the architect was appointed through a competition. We have examined the degree of importance that one has put on the buildings functionality and aesthetics, respectively. Furthermore we have studied how the cooperation between library staff and the architects has worked, and finally we have studied to which degree the parties involved think that the interests of the users has been taken into concern. The first main chapter of the report is an overview of the literature found on the subject where we present theories on library architecture used in Sweden as well as abroad.

This thesis deal with how seniors treat and view the digital world, what their information seeking process looks like and what they perceive as the major obstacles regarding the usage of IKT and the Internet. The experience of the seniors is put in relation to how Uppsala City Library is carrying out the task to increase digital participa-tion. This operation is part of the Digidel network which during the preceding year concluded their campaign Digidel2013 which aimed to render 500 000 new users digitally participant. Following the campaign Digidel published a report on how to further work to increase the digital participation derived from the experience gath-ered from Digidel2013. This report is discussed and put in relation to the proposed measures of Jan A.G.M.

Turismbranschen är en bransch som förefaller vara på väg framåt. Detta är givetvis bra, framförallt ur ekonomisk synvinkel, för olika typer av besöksmål runt om i Sverige och världen. Samtidigt så hårdnar dock konkurrensen om besökarnas tid och uppmärksamhet då fler och fler aktörer kliver in på scenen. För att möta den konkurensen så har en del av de äldre besöksmålen, exempelvis museerna, börjat modernisera sin produkt för att passa den moderna besökaren. Men kan det vara så att detta sker på bekostnad av, i fallet med museer, autenticiteten hos det som presenteras?I den här uppsatsen undersöks det som presenteras på ett modernt, upprustat, museum i form av Flygvapenmuseum i Linköping.

Syftet med studien var att studera vad som motiverar pojkar i årskurs F-2 till att läsa. De frågeställningar som formulerades inför studien löd som följer: Vilka attityder har pojkar till läsning? Hur upplever pojkar att faktorer, som till exempel skolgång och tillgång på litteratur, påverkar deras läsning? Hur upplever pojkar att faktorer utanför skolans värld, som till exempel föräldrar, påverkar deras läsning? Vilka skäl ser pojkar till varför det är bra att kunna läsa?Genom att intervjua 18 pojkar från årskurserna F, 1 och 2 gavs svar på syftet ifråga om vad som motiverar pojkar till läsning.Tvärtemot vad viss tidigare forskning kommit fram till som resultat, tyckte pojkar enligt studien att det var roligt och spännande att läsa. Flera av de intervjuade uttryckte att de skulle vilja läsa mer. Vad som hindrade dem från att läsa mer var dels lästiden i skolan och bristen på tid att delge varandra bokupplevelser, dels att det kunde vara svårt att hitta lämpliga böcker.

The aim of this master?s thesis is to examine how libraries can organize their collections in terms of library shelving and displays and to what extent these activities stem from a desire to create a user-friendly library. The thesis is based upon a case study of Arkenbiblioteket in Sweden and the material consists of a literature study and qualitative, semi-structured interviews with three librarians at Arkenbiblioteket. The theoretical framework consists of theories on information-seeking behavior, classification and displays. These theories form the basis of the analysis of the empirical material.The main reason for the changes in shelf arrangement at Arkenbiblioteket was a desire among the library staff to create a user-friendly library.

This two years master's thesis examines the experience of children who read to a dog. The theoretical framework is inspired by sociocultural theory developed by Roger Säljö and the concept carnival inspired by Mikhail Bakhtin. The sociocultural theory has been chosen because it emphasizes the role of practice, instruments and communication in learning and the concept carnival has been chosen to analyze the experience of reading to a dog.The method used is qualitative interview and observation. A total of eight interviews and two observations when children read to a dog have been collected. One interview is with a teacher and seven interviews are with the children (six children participated and one child was interviewed twice).

Literature and music as an expression of art have some parts in common, others can quite differ. Both are using a language, and both can exist in written representations. You can find such written or printed items in library catalogues. The aim of this two years master's thesis is to examine how cataloguing of printed fiction-literature and printed music looks like, what differences you can find in cataloguing of printed literature and printed music.This study is based on a comparative methodology and two different theories are used. The first describes the common tasks for library catalogues as they are known traditionally and recently (as FRBR-conceptual model), the other is a comparison of the two art-species literature (fiction) and music.This paper's first part is a comparison of how printed literature and printed music are catalogued in the Swedish national catalogue LIBRIS.

Det inneba?r att vi i samband med repetitioner har fokuserat pa? interpretation genom att analysera sa?ngsa?tt, frasering, nyanser, artikulation, intonation, uttal, balans och tolkning.

This master thesis aims to examine how public libraries in Sweden are practically and ideologically equipped to deal with e-books, outside of the dominant distributor Elib. The study also aims to find out what?s required of the book market and the public libraries to make further progress in the question of e-books. In Sweden e-books are still representing only a small amount of all the library loans and an even smaller amount of the commercial book market.The methodological and theoretical ground for the thesis is Grounded Theory, and the survey is based on interviews with publishers, librarians and distributors.The conclusions of this thesis are that the public libraries lack resources to invest in e-books, and that they also lack in knowledge about the media and its readers. It also exposes that both internal and external collaboration efforts need to be further developed.

Svenska elevers läsförståelse minskar och våra barns intresse för böcker och läsning likaså, vilket fick mig att fundera över den roll vi pedagoger spelar i denna utveckling. Syftet med min undersökning var att undersöka om högläsning används som metod inom förskolan, samt att fördjupa förståelsen för vilken betydelse högläsning anses ha för barns språkutveckling. Tidigare forskning tyder på att högläsning i förskolan på många sätt kan bidra till att öka barns språkliga medvetenhet, samt vara en förutsättning för deras fortsatta språkutveckling. Vidare pekar tidigare forskning på vikten av engagerade och pålästa pedagoger som kan vägleda och hjälpa barnen på sin väg till läslust och lärande. Det empiriska materialet i studien har samlats in genom enkäter besvarade av 72 pedagoger på sex förskolor. Resultatet visar att samtliga pedagoger är medvetna om att högläsningen har positiva effekter på barns språkutveckling. Högläsning är till övervägande del en planerad aktivitet men även en spontan sådan.

Close to the city center of Reykjavik lies the combined national- and university library of Iceland. Usually, these two types of institutions are separated. The purpose of this essay is to investigate how the library in fact selects the new digital material to offer the users in Iceland, and if the combined mission creates any problems or conflicts.The investigation examines the planning and the content of the digital library, what user groups are addressed and how the organisation is held together despite the different missions. If cultural context in Iceland makes a difference for what is selected and offered to the users is also discussed.Six informants in strategic library positions dealing with the digital national- or university library, were interviewed. The answers have been analysed in light of the library&information literature on building and maintaining digital library collections and organizational and marketing theory.The main result of the study is that the informants do not see a conflict between the missions of the organisation, although traces of a struggle were found in some areas.

Policy documents in the public library field, such as the library legislation, local political goals and intra-library plan documents, often include ambitious but ambiguous formulations. This two years master?s thesis examines the relationship between four policy documents and library practice in a local context. The theoretical framework is inspired by a sociocultural theory developed by the Swedish professor of pedagogical psychology Roger Säljö. The theory emphasizes the importance of context to learning and development.The thesis? method is a case study.

I dagens förskola, och även sedan en lång tid tillbaka, anses barnböcker vara en viktig del avdet pedagogiska material som barnen tar del av. Däremot visar studie (se bl.a. Simonsson,2004) på att valet av vilken bok som förs in i förskolan inte är lika självklart som hur passviktigt det är att den finns där. Genom detta uppmärksammas inte heller vilket innehåll somrepresenteras i boken. Detta examensarbete grundar sig i frågor som rör vilka perspektiv ochvärderingar som finns kring barnboken och som därmed barnen på förskolan tar del av.Genom analys av fyra barnböcker, När Findus var liten och försvann, Gittan ochälgbrorsorna, Familjeboken och Mamma Mu städar, uppmärksammas i denna studiebarnboken.

Dagens samhälle sägs vara byggt för alla, trots det stöter många med funktionsnedsättningar på problem i vardagen som hindrar dem från att känna sig som en i mängden. Högskolan i Gävle har visat sig ha brister gällande tillgängligheten. Detta uppenbarade sig bland annat i undersökningar som gjordes av studenter i Byggnadsingenjörsprogrammet på Högskolan i Gävle 2011. Examensarbetets mål är att identifiera vilka problem som finns vid ramper och entréer. För att underlätta undersökningen valdes de större entréerna på skolan ut.Teorimaterialet är uppbyggt av BBR 2014, Bygg ikapp och hemsidor med relaterat material.
