DV01 is a bicycle concept aimed towards a contemporary target group, that considers the bicycle to be both a convenient means of transportation and a product with a high aesthetical value. A bicycle is for many people something that you attach to your own personal style, were not only the bicycles function but also its appearance plays a crucial role. It is also a product that consists of many different components and parts, which all affect the overall impression. The focus of the project has therefore been about finding a balance in the design. When form and function interact in a successful symbiosis, the result is often that the product may last longer and are more loved by its users..

ABSTRACT: Introduction: There are intentions from the Swedish government to provide guidelines and tools for a healthy social planning. The field is in a Swedish context relatively unstudied regarding psychosocial health and the neighbourhood. Aim: The study aimed to examine how social planning can affect the health of individuals. The focus areas were contextual and compositional factors related to individuals' psychosocial health and the contextual risk- and health factors that exist in the neighbourhood. Method: A literature-based study was conducted and 15 scholarly articles form the basis for analyse.

A piezoelectric injector was modeled, in this Master Thesis Project which was carried out at Scania CV AB in Södertälje, in GT-Fuel. GT-Fuel is simulation program from Gamma Technology.The simulation model for the piezo injector was divided into a hydro-mechanical system and an electrical system (Piezoelectric element). First the hydro-mechanic model was duplicated from Advance Continuous Simulation Language model (ACSL). The simulation results were then compared to the ACSL, to verify that the hydro-mechanical system was modeled correctly. The simulation results for the electrical model were also compared with a Simulink model.

The automotive industry is today in a world of globalisation and external factors can influence the car companies and it is important that they progress with the people. When an external factor, as the oil price, increases dramatically, it will affect the economies in different matters. Other external factors are impacted by the oil price, for example inflation, unemployment and target rates. In addition, people are changing their preferences due to the attention of the environment. With this as the foundation the problem of the essay were divided into three aspects.

Uppsatsen behandlar ett antal teorier om vilken påverkan ljudsignaler har på individen. Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka hur individen påverkas av ljudsignaler och kopplar ihop ljudsignaler som en teknisk produkt är avsedd att förmedla. För att på bästa sätt kunna utforska fenomenet utfördes ett experiment med hjälp av musikprogrammet Acoustica Mixcraft och åtta stycken ljudsignaler, varav 16 personer deltog i undersökningen. Fastställning av data presenterades i 3 tre- vägs ANOVA. Resultat på ? nivå redovisas, samt en interaktion mellan faktorer.

Vid sjukvårdsvistelse är sömnstörningar vanligt och kan ge kognitiva och fysiologiska effekter. Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att beskriva patienters upplevelse av störd sömn på vårdinrättning. Tretton vetenskapliga artiklar analyserades med kvalitativ innehållsanalys. Emotionella effekter i resultatet beskrevs i form av ångest, frustration, trötthet och känslor av maktlöshet över att inte kunna påverka situationen. Resultatet visade att vårdmiljön i form av ljud, ljus och andra patienter påverkade sömnen negativt.

It has become more common for organization to operate a lot of projects at the same time. These projects affect each other, either in way of resources or technical. Projects in a multi-project environment depend and affect each other, and in most cases they rival about resources, decision-makings and priority. To lead a project portfolio with several projects is a major challenge. The most common problems that occur are vague objective, unclear working conditions, resource shortage and problems of priority.

Den här rapporten är resultatet av en fallstudie gjord vid Jernbaneverket i syfte att se hur lärande från avvikelse går till, vilka metoder eller verktyg somanvänds i organisationen. Utifrån detta avsågs att formulera ett förslag på en "verktygslåda" med metoder som kan användas i hela verksamheten. Studien bygger på 12 semistrukturerade intervjuer genomförda med anställda inom Bane-, Trakk- och Utbyggingsdivisjonen i Jernbaneverket under våren 2010. Utifrån intervjuerna har sex stycken förändringsförslag formulerats i syfte att förbättra lärande från avvikelser inom Jernbaneverket, förslagen fokuseras kring nedanstående punkter.Att i större utsträckning använda ljud och bild för att illustrera avvikelser vid möten.Att uppmärksamma egna erfarenheter av avvikelser för att sprida lärandeAtt uppmärksamma andra organisationers arbetssätt kring lärande från avvikelser för att hitta nya vinklingar till det egna lärande Att göra studiebesök i den egna och andra organisationerAtt återuppliva redan lösta problem.

Studien handlar om barnens fysiska miljö på Montessoriförskolor och traditionella förskolor och hur buller och ljussättning påverkar barnen. Undersökningen utfördes med en kvalitativ metod och med ostrukturerade observationer. Intervjuerna genomfördes med pedagoger och barn på tre Montessoriförskolor och tre traditionella förskolor. Samtliga pedagoger som blivit intervjuade var medvetna om de höga ljudnivåerna och försökte förhindra att de uppstod. Men vissa skillnader framkom eftersom pedagogerna på Montessoriförskolorna ansåg att de hade en lugn och harmonisk inomhusmiljö medan pedagogerna på de traditionella förskolorna ofta upplevde sin miljö som högljudd.

Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka hur musiker ser på begrepp som ljudnivå, musikupplevelse och relationen mellan dessa. Underlaget för studien är sex intervjuer med musiker och ljudtekniker, med och utan hörselskador. Studien byggs på sex kvalitativa intervjuer och är avgränsad till att i första hand behandla detta inom musikstilar vilka är baserade på trummor och bas ? pop/rock, jazz/blues.Studiens resultat visar att parametrar som t.ex. genre, lokal, ljudteknik, ljudtekniker och arrangör har inverkan på det ljud och den ljudnivå som uppnås vid en konsert.Vidare redovisas respondenternas syn på relationen mellan ljudnivåer och musikupplevelse.

This report describes the process of translating Russian financial information in accordance with Russian Accounting Standards to IFRS, International Financial Reporting Standards. The author describes the two regulatory frameworks and reveals a number of risk factors in the process. These risk factors may affect the reliability of figures from Russian companies. The conclusion states some recommendations on how these risk factors can be managed..

This thesis work has been performed at the department of diagnosis and dependability at Volvo Car Company, Torslanda. The background of this project is based on interest in ascertaining how different factors possibly can affect a diagnosis method, which has been developed to find leaks in the fuel tank and evaporation system. According to the OBD II requirements leaks with an orifice diameter larger or equal to 0,5 mm, must be detected. The idea of the diagnosis method is to create an over pressure in the system with an air-pump. The current through the pump is measured and correlates to the power consumed by the pump.

This study deals with a research on what the opening sounds in movies tell us about the story that we are about to follow. The purpose is to examine if and how the sound in the first five minutes of the movie contribute in giving information about the film?s genre. The theoretical base includes both genre theory and Michel Chion?s theory on film sound.

This bachelor thesis aims to draw attention to sound in the heritage sector in Sweden. In particular, to thesoundscapes that can be identified in our cultural heritage environments. Sounds in an environment, here calledsoundscapes, affect our perception of the environment and how we remember it.To find out how the heritage sector uses and would be able to use sounds, I have firstly studied if audio recording iscomparable with the visual photographic image. I then present examples of sound documentation concerning theconservation of built environment. In addition, I have interviewed five key informants who all have a centralresponsibility for five cultural heritage environments.
