Since the 1990s, when the number of transnational companies increased, it has created challenges regarding the responsibility of human rights. As a response to these challenges the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) unanimously endorsed the new policy UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGP) in 2011. UNGP does not have the status av international law, yet simply as guidelines and its implementation is based on good will and voluntary efforts. Now, 10 years later, this study aims to get understanding regarding if UNGP is considered as norm by the Swedish Government, Volvo and Gothenburg Municipality. The material of the study consists of sustainability reports, annual reports and governmental documents with focus on human rights in relation to business published between the year of 2011, when UNGP was endorsed, until 2020.

Studies of modern communication media such as Cell Phones and so called Instant Messengers are popular today. This study focused on these modern techniques, focused on parents as a target group and on what is important for them in everyday communication.By exploratory using three focus groups it became clear that the children, and the link to them was the absolute most important thing for the parents. It became clear that this link to a great extent today exists through the mobile phone.In a following study a Mobile Instant Messenger called My Friends was introduced. It was used by two families during two weeks to see how it would change the communication within the family. The focus was to see how problems with availability were handled, it turned out that:My friends had a more obvious way of indicating availability than the Cell Phone had.

Society and technology develop together in interaction processes. Because of the development of information technology, the Industrial society has been left behind in favor of a society where information is the key production factor, i.e. the Information society. In the Information society, social functions and processes are organized in networks. These networks integrate geographically separate markets to parts of a complex global economic system.

The focus of this essay is set on a number of processes that affect the challenges of the tourist trade, to be more precise ? an analysis of the attitudes towards tourism and sustainability within this line of business ? from an ethical and moral as well as social view. These issues are examined with reference to the concept of CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility). Thus, acquaintance with theories of social constructivism, post colonialism, globalisation and global civil society is essential in order to understand the analysed material. The essay is mainly based on the outcome of qualitative interviews with various kinds of persons working with CSR related questions.

The long-term external financing of a corporation is satisfied through the bond market where issues of index-linked bonds, which are discussed in this thesis, is one alternative. (Finnerty&Emery 2001) An index- linked bond is a debt instrument where the investor is guaranteed the principal and premium amount in real terms. As the bonds cash flows are indexed to the inflation this implies that the issuer of an index-linked bond assumes an inflation risk. Purpose: The purpose of this thesis is to describe and examine corporate motives for choosing index-linked bonds as way of financing their business. Realization: Primary data was collected through interviews with corporate issuers of non-swapped index-linked bonds.

The purpose of this thesis was to look into how event management companies got knowledge about their customers? expectations and how they are influenced by these expectations. A case study was conducted based upon interviews with two employees from two companies that are in the business. The study has shown that event management companies do try to get awarness about their customers' expectations, especially by listening and discussing with the customer. Personal contact is an efficient way of communicating and a way to avoid misunderstandings, which is a common mistake when customers' expectations are not met.

Information technology development has in recent decades had a major impact on retailing.Discount supermarket chains began to offer customers the possibility to shop without therequirement to do this over the counter, instead the customer could help themselves buyingthe products they wanted. Retailing today has an even greater focus on the self service in thesupermarkets, recently many retailing chains has introduced self-checkout systems toincrease the profits and reduce staffing requirements. Purpose: The purpose of this thesis is to give a contribution to the studies of what strategies those are of importance for challengers in consumer technological markets aiming for the market leader position. To be able to investigate this phenomenon we have chosen to study Microsoft?s second position in the video game console industry. In addition, we want to illuminate Microsoft?s competitive advantages, how Microsoft can take advantage from Sony?s setbacks and what strategies those are of importance for Microsoft in the battle of becoming the market leader.

Syftet med den hÀr uppsatsen Àr att beskriva och analysera hur controllerfunktionen Àr fördelad inom en organisation, samt att diskutera orsakerna till detta. En kvalitativ tolkningsmetod har anvÀnts dÀr delvis ostrukturerade intervjuer har varit största datainsamlingsmetoden. Uppsatsen har en induktiv ansats. Tre teoretiska perspektiv presenteras i uppsatsen. Först en teoretisk genomgÄng om vad controllerfunktionen Àr, dÀrefter en genomgÄng av Gummessons modell för ansvarsfördelning och sist Byrne & Pierce modell för controllerns roll.

Syfte: Syftet med vÄr studie Àr att kartlÀgga anvÀndningen av icke-finansiella mÄtt inom dagligvaruhandeln för att analysera vilka effekter icke-finansiell prestationsmÀtning har pÄ företagens ekonomistyrning. Metod: I studien har vi anvÀnt oss av en kvalitativ ansats. Vi har intervjuat tre butikschefer för att fÄ en övergripande bild av företagens ekonomistyrning och anvÀndningen av icke-finansiella mÄtt. Resultat: Samtliga undersökta butiker anvÀnder sig av icke-finansiella mÄtt men i olika utstrÀckning och pÄ olika nivÄer. Dessa mÄtt hÀnförs till relationen gentemot kunder, medarbetare och miljö. De icke-finansiella mÄtten har fÄtt ett allt större utrymme inom butikerna under de senaste Ären. I samband med införandet av icke-finansiella mÄtt uppstÄr ökat fokus inom det omrÄde mÄtten avser.

This study treats the possibility of breeding mallards and pheasants on our own farm, Björnslund. From the beginning I considered to breed them from eggs to adults but after visiting several breeders I changed my mind. It seemed to be a lot of work with no economic profit in comparison with buying already hatched birds and then feed them to adults. If the business shall be profitable I have to be soll the hunting for the birds and then sell the dead birds to game purchasers. There are also calculations that show which price you have to charge for the hunting that will give a positive result. Another possibility is to own a slaughterhouse and sell the meat to restaurants and supermarkets.

Movement of goods and people is essential for a competitive industry and successful trade. As a result of an intensified transport business, consumption of fossil fuels has increased dramatically. Denna magisteruppsats syftar till att utreda framtids-utsikterna inom branscherna solenergi och vÄgkraft samt identifiera OEM-företagens behov inom dessa branscher. Det verktyg vi har anvÀnt för att utreda branschernas framtidsutsikter Àr delar av SWOT-modellen, dÀr fokus har lagts pÄ externa faktorer som pÄverkar en marknad. För att identifiera OEM-företagens behov har vi anvÀnt teorier kring OEM-marknaden och OEM-företags köpkriterier samt ABB:s egen erfarenhet och kunskap om denna marknad.För att ge en informationsrik och heltÀckande bild har vi genomfört intervjuer med Energimyndigheten och OEM-företag inom branscherna solenergi och vÄgkraft, dÄ de besitter kunskap om vilka möjligheter och hot branscherna stÄr inför. This report focuses on work schedules in the retail sector, where work schedules are dynamic and change according to the needs and work schedule is a requirement for an effective structure of the work. This structure is important for maintaining a good order and all this is a requirement for a profitable business for both long and short term future. Work schedule also contributes to safety at the workplace. The purpose of this study was to investigate the transfer of knowledge by work schedules. The HRM employee we interviewed worked in Reitan Servicehandel Sverige AB which includes 7-Eleven, PressbyrÄn and Shell.
