My essay is fundamentally about an idea. It could even be placed in the study of the history of ideas by the fact that it could be seen as if I am trying to reflect upon how one single idea can get a strong societal and historical impact. How thoughts, visions and then inventions are constructing societies and everything that derives from them. In my text I try to illuminate and connect social theory to our social reality and by using discourse (theory) analysis I try to study central terms in the discourse of surveillance. The question which is of social psychological interest would be that of how the individual in dialectical relation to thesurrounding society is free and how he then would get inflected by this surveillance.

Current technology offers many possibilities for remotecommunication. Nevertheless, people with cognitive and communicativedisabilities have limited access to common communication technology like textmessaging via a mobile phone. This study is part of the project Text messagingwith picture symbols - a possibility for AAC users and people with cognitiveimpairments. Semi structured interviews were used to investigate three menand four women?s experiences of using Windows mobiles with adaptedfunctions for text messaging.

Studien förklarar vad terra preta är och hur man med enkla medel kan använda sig av terra preta i sin fritidsodling. Studien baseras på litteraturstudier men även genom ett studiebesök och egna praktiska experiment har jag fått ökad förståelse och kunskap om ämnet.Arbetet redovisar vad terra preta är ur historiskt perspektiv, dagens användning av terra preta och pågående forskning. I Resultatet presenteras två förslag med illustrationer och text på hur man kan tillverka biokol i pyrolysanläggningar. Därefter bearbetas frågeställningen hur man kan använda sig av biokol i sin odling. Syftet med arbetet är att underlätta för den som är intresserad av att odla med terra preta att få sammanställd information om hur man kan gå till väga praktiskt..

 Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka förskollärares uppfattningar av fenomenet fysik som innehåll i förskolans verksamhet.  Tidigare forskning och litteratur visar att arbetet med de olika naturvetenskapliga ämnena finns i verksamheten men på grund av förskollärares olika erfarenheter och kompetenser så blir fysikämnet inte synliggjort. Studien har en fenomenografiskt inspirerad ansats. För att få svar på studiens frågeställning användes intervju som metod. Två förskollärare från tre olika förskolor intervjuades, d v s totalt sex respondenter.Resultatet visar att förskollärare uppfattar att fysik som innehåll i förskolan kan vara vuxenstyrt genom att man utgår från experiment, eller med utgångspunkt i vardagserfarenheter där man arbetar utifrån barns intresse för att synliggöra fysikinnehållet. .

When an organisation is going through a work of change, it is highly important that both management and employees has a healthy communication in order to make everybody feel involved. It is then important to be observant for both the managements and employees thoughts and ideas.This study has been performed on an upper secondary school which is performing a work of change. The change has divided the employees in three different groups. One, which thinks the change have evolved the organisation to something better. The second group of people means that it is preventing individual development of competence.

In this essay the aim is to examine what an analysis of records of the Swedish phenomenon called the ?mara? or nightmare can tell us about gender relations in the nineteenth century Swedish peasant society. From Snorre Sturlasson to studies done in the present day I go through records and the people who has written them for answers to my questions. I use the methods sex/gender and Michel Foucault?s perspective of power and my main material I study is records from DAG.With this essay I take you through methods, and descriptions of the ?mara?.

I många mikrovågsugnar finns grillelement som kan färgsätta matens yta. Vissa kommande modeller av mikrovågsugnar planeras vara utan roterande tallrik och maten blir då stillastående. Därför måste grillelementen och tillhörande reflektorer optimeras så värmestrålningen om möjligt blir jämnt fördelad i ugnen. Syftet med examensarbetet är att undersöka hur värmestrålningen i ugnarna kan beräknas så optimeringar kan göras. Värmestrålningen i en befintlig mikrovågsugn har simulerats och mätts.

The aim of this essay was to acquire an enhanced knowledge about young immigrants? point of view of integration. During a former practical training semester I became interested in what the young immigrants thought about their own integration, what their conception was about this issue. I found that it had different meaning to different persons, to some it meant assimilation, to others it meant being able to interact with the opposite gender. To examine this I used interviews and interviewed an amount of young immigrants in different stages of their studies in Swedish.

Utbudet av bra, täckande vägkartor som innehåller information om vägarnas lutningar är idag begränsat. Att skapa sådana kartor är också dyrt, då det kräver både arbetskraft och dyr utrustning. Tack vare en ny algoritm är det dock nu möjligt att skatta lutningen på en väg endast genom användandet av en enkel GPS-enhet och redan existerande sensorer i tunga lastbilar. Genom att kombinera flera sådana mätningar för samma väg är det möjligt att få en bra skattning av vägens lutning.I detta arbete har ett system för att skapa vägkartor med lutning både implementerats och utvärderats. Resultaten visar att det är möjligt att skapa vägprofiler med lutningsinformation genom att använda redan tillgängliga sensorer.

Denna handlar om vilka ord och begrepp elever använder när de beskriver naturvetenskapliga fenomen eller händelser. Genom att visa eleverna olika experiment som de fått förklara så har jag undersökt hur eller om de använder naturvetenskapliga ord.Mitt resultat pekar på att elever vill förklara, men orden räcker inte till. De använder sig ofta av vardagsförklaringar som är baserade på tidigare upplevelser. Att förstå hur elever kan förklara och uttrycka sina kunskaper ger mig som pedagog möjlighet att bemöta eleverna på rätt sätt. Ordet är viktigt och elever måste få visa sina kunskaper med ?sina? ord och uttryck och då är det viktigt att jag som lärare förstår vad de säger och vad de menar med sina förklaringar.

Den negativa miljöpåverkan från förbrukning av fossila bränslen ökar kravet på förnyelsebara energikällor. Biobränsle är ett speciellt lovande alternativ. Detta projekt vill visa på möjligheten att använda gas från biobränsleförgasning som förbränns utan synliga flammor i glassmältugnar. Med bättre teknik är det möjligt både att upprätthålla produktionen och reducera kväveoxidutsläppen med ekonomiska fördelar. Biobränslena bidrar inte till växthuseffekten.

This academic essay explores the possibilities to knowledge of God in the thought of Thomas Aquinas. The essay takes its departure from question 12 in the Summa Theologiae, specifically articles 12 and 13 that deal with natural knowledge of God and supernatural knowledge, respectively. It also presents objections made by modern philosophers against these ways of knowledge along with a rebuttal of these objections. Lastly, a conclusion is offered and ends with a reflection on how Aquinas' teaching on human knowledge of God in earthly existence compares with his teaching on the knowledge human beings will have in heaven and what consequences that has for our present knowledge..

The purpose of this developmental research was to test the new way of working when the students were to take part in planning of cooking during the lessons in home and consumer studies, because the aim of the school is to teach the students to take the responsibility for their studies. The two first lessons should be used by students in the group to plan and organize their meal. During the third lesson the students must be responsible for cooking ready their meal and afterwards they must evaluate the results. The results of this new way of working was new for the students and they thought it was fun to be responsible for cooking during these lessons in home economics. The students in the groups were of wixed ability and they developed their knowledge from the levels of their ability.
