The aim of this master?s thesis is to investigate how Paul Feyerabend?s anarchistic theory of knowledge can help our understanding of bibliographical classification and to analyse how epistemological assumptions are manifested in bibliographic classification. Paul Feyerabend?s anarchistic theory of knowledge and science is the theoretical approach of this thesis. The first part of the thesis consists of an introduction to bibliographical classification and epistemology.

Very often the interesting variables are explained by several underlying variables and in statistical analyses it is common to study the relationship between variables and groups of variables. Because of this multivariate analysis is commonly used in both science and industry. There are two problem with both univariate and multivariate analyses. One is when the variables are correlated. The other is when the number variables of exceeds the number of observations which makes the matrices algebra used in the analysis impossible to execute.

In this two years master?s thesis I examine the library?s representation of research and its influence upon the relationship between the library practice and the research practice. I also intend to find out what controls the representation and if it is possible to see changes in the representation over time. My source material has been texts published in the Swedish library journal ? and social domain ? Biblioteksbladet during the last decennium (2001?2011).

This report looks at the possibility of designing a universal adapter for Flat Blade windshield wipers in cooperation with European Automotive Supplier AB.To understand and see if this is possible, a research and an extensive patent search where done. Then to add structure to the project a Ganttschematic were developed. 2004, the SSR, Akademikerförbundet, made a study on the threats and violence as a social secretary in the municipal social services are exposed in their occupation of the "social secretary of threats and violence at work" (T-110192), conducted by Temo ab. We have chosen to use the study on a smaller scale and then made contact with five municipalities in the middle of Sweden to investigate social secretaries experiences of threats and violence. Using the cross-sectional design and a convenience sample, we have gained access to data from 56 people. From a sociological perspective, we have chosen to use Norbert Elias theory of universal configuration and interdependence, and Michel Foucault?s theories concerning power search explanation for the existence of threats and violent situations in the contact between social workers and their clients..

I Sverige anses det viktigt att skolan bidrar till att fostra demokratiska medborgare genom att låta demokratiska värden genomsyra skolans verksamhet. Demokrati och värden är dock två komplexa begrepp och det är svårt att tala om globala demokratiska värden. Av denna anledning är det av intresse att undersöka vilka värden som framställs som önskvärda i skolor i andra delar av världen, och hur dessa värden kan förstås utifrån den svenska värdegrunden. Den här studien syftar till att öka kunskapen om värdepedagogisk praktik i en grundskola i Uganda. Studiens syfte och frågeställningar besvarades genom en fallstudie i en lågstadieklass i östra Uganda, där dokumentstudier av läroplan, intervjuer med skolpersonal och observationer i klassrummet användes som datainsamlingsmetoder.

Det här arbetet behandlar utomhuspedagogik på fritidshemmet. Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka hur fritidspersonal uppfattar att elever kan påverkas av utomhuspedagogik utifrån: lärande-, psykosocialt- och hälsoperspektiv. Utifrån en fenomenografisk ansats har tre verksamma pedagoger intervjuats. Resultatet visar att utomhuspedagogikens innebörd ser olika ut beroende på vilken utbildning informanterna har. Vår studie visar även att utomhuspedagogiken kan uppfattas som både ett formellt och informellt lärande.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the tendencies among pupils concerning their attitudes towards History and some of the stated goals in the present and in the proposed course plan of History, since there is, probably, a change coming in 2011. The study is built on questionnaires answered by one hundred pupils at a Swedish upper-secondary-school. The results point to the fact that most of these pupils like history, but still they do not wish to make it an obligatory subject, which is a government proposal at the moment. Furthermore, the answers about sources, democracy, the use of History and the consciousness about History, have a clear tendency; there have been too little education about these areas during the pupils former nine years in school, still the pupils think that these are important areas to work with. Moreover, this study shows a disheartening picture when it comes to pupils knowledge of their cultural heritage. Only half of the pupils know which century Gustav Vasa lived in and just a third know what year universal suffrage was introduced in Sweden, two facts that ought to be set in most Swedes? mind..

Neoliberalism has createdspace for personal freedom and choice, but all do not possess the same conditions to utilisetools to attain positive progress in regard to these choices. Lifelong learning (LLL), a concept dating back to the 1920s, is much used both by the OECD, UNESCO and the EU. But while intergovernmental think-tanks and supranational organisations often use the term in a positive sense, many (not least scholars) are critical of the term. The critique either deals with the lack of a universal definition, that the implicit responsibility for LLL has shifted onto the individual, or that the meaning of the term has shifted from a humanistic one linked to the personal development and a better society to a neoliberal one that involves growth, competition, globalisation and human capital theory. This study is based on interviews with nine trade union representatives on their understandings of lifelong learning. The results showed that while LLL was positively viewed by most, there was virtually no communication vis-à-vis members on the topic, most trade unions have no policy regarding LLL, and responses from representatives were sometimes self-conflicting..

Studien innefattar tre pragmatiskt inspirerade analyser av verken Girls inbikinis, Head Shaking #2 och Breathing. I samklang med det erfarenhetsbetonadeestetikbegreppet införlivas mina egna erfarenheter av företeelser som vanligtvis intebetraktas som estetiska för att studera förståelsen.
