This thesis has the purpose that through a text analysis examine how four schoolbooks for high school treats the religions Judaism and Hinduism. The schoolbooks are from the years 2000, 2001, 2003 and 2009. The perspectives are from a religious viewing point, that means that the women are religious, Jewish feminists and Hindu feminists. The theories used are written by these women and are academic litterature.  The questions are how are women represented in the schoolbooks, is the feminist critique present or are the two religions represented and described in an invariable way, and is the description of Judaism and Hinduism consistent with the curriculum?The text analysis used in this examination means that reality is organized through and by the language used by the actors in that reality.

The purpose of this thesis has been about processing an already existing folder for a tax funded organization which is also the employer for this mission ? Expectrum. The reason is that both Expectrum themselves and the recievers of the folder are unhappy with the existing material. The critic that has been directed to Expectrum is that the recievers have trouble understanding what Expectrum is and what they do. Based on qualitative methods such as interviews and text analysis I?ve been able to answer my questions for this thesis.

The way we socialize today is radically different from how it was only twenty years ago. The purpose of this paper is to compare the content and political message in the election posters of the political parties Sverigedemokraterna and Feministiskt Initiativ. This is achieved through a qualitative content analysis combined with text and rhetorical analysis as well as semiotics. Out of all the election posters from Sverigedemokraterna and Feministiskt Initiativ with national spread, eight were analyzed. The conclusions of this analysis are that both political parties prefer posters with high text content with the main purpose of gathering votes, and that persons were used as motives with the objective to present the party representatives and strengthen their perceived ethos..

Men commit more suicide than women all over the world. They commit more violent crimes and are more inclined to alcohol abuse. There are studies that relate this behaviour to the hegemonic image of masculinity.My work focuses on Switzerland. The suicide rate in Switzerland is worrying, for men between 15 and 44 years suicide is the most common cause of death. There is no national suicide prevention and no information or prevention that highlights the connection bet- ween the hegemonic image of masculinity and the suicide rates.

Sa?ngens roll i grundskolans musikundervisning har varierat o?ver tid. I denna uppsats underso?ks sa?ngens plats i musika?mnets kursplanstexter o?ver tidsspannet 1962?2011.Syftet med uppsatsen a?r att underso?ka vilket utrymme momentet sa?ng har getts i kursplanstexterna, och vilken roll sa?ngen skulle kunna ha i grundskolans musikundervisning i framtiden. Fra?gesta?llningen a?r:Hur uttrycker sig kursplanerna fra?n 1962?2011 om momenten sa?ng och ro?st?Fra?gesta?llningarna besvaras dels genom olika metoder av textanalys ? strukturell textanalys, komparativ analys, funktionell analys, och till viss del la?sbarhetsanalys ? och dels genom faktainsamling.

Denna studie undersöker begreppet elevnära som används i Kursplan för Svenska från år 2008. Kvalitativa intervjuer har gjorts med fem yrkesverksamma lärare för att ta reda på deras tolkningar. Skolverkets förklaring av begreppet utforskas även.Intervjuernas resultat analyseras enligt en fenomenografisk ansats och lärarnas åsikter har placerats in i ett antal beskrivningskategorier. Analyserna av resultaten visar att både de intervjuade lärarna och Skolverket ser till flera olika aspekter av vad elevnära innebär, men Skolverket har dock en bredare syn.Alla de intervjuade lärarna har olika definitioner, vilket visar att det är problematiskt att i ett styrdokument använda ett begrepp där tolkningsfriheten kan vara stor. I och med att kursplanerna är målstyrda är det viktigt att dessa mål är tydliga så att lärarna kan förstå dem.

Due to political decisions regarding the Swedish school, public and independent schools booth face the need topromote themselves in the quest for new pupils. This study aims to, from a communications perspective, examine how four selected upper secondary schools address their target audience; the pupils?to?be, on their homepages. Additionally, I intend to investigate whether, and if so, how, said addressing can be connected to the different target groups applying to the schools in question.The questions asked in this study regard the way in which the selected schools describe themselves on their homepage; how do they use the textual and visual content to address their audience, and can there be disagreement between the meaning of the text and that of the image? To answer these questions, I use a theoretical base made out of visual communication and semiotic as well as rhetorical analyses.The methodological procedure is a qualitative approach on the matter, allowing me to understand the ?what? of the content on the homepages, as well as the ?how? it?s being communicated.

Denna undersökning syftar till att identifiera de aspekter som anses fördelaktiga vid genomförandet av ämnesövergripande undervisning på högstadiet och gymnasiet. Studien tar en konstruktivistisk och fenomenografisk utgångspunkt i Biggs 3P modell (2003) där tre olika delar beskrivs: premiss, process och produkt. Premisserna innefattar eleverna och den lärandemiljön som undervisningen bedrivs i, processen är det undervisningssätt som används och ses i denna studie som ämnesövergripande undervisning, och produkten ses som elevernas läranderesultat. I studien används textanalys som metod, där tio examensarbeten från lärarprogrammet har analyserats. Examensarbetena är från spridda universitet runtom i Sverige och behandlar ämnesövergripande undervisning.

Today the common people begin to understand the impact of a package. Many choose brand or product with great emphasis on how the outside looks, both in a good and a bad way.The company Gotlands Grafiska gave me the task to create a small basic selection of packages. The target group that the project was based on was craftsmen in the Gotland region. Based on analysis of the market and consumers to develop a range of packages covering a wide range of products sold on the island.During the project a clear theme was the desire to highlight a product and create some sort of exclusivity. It was important to understand how consumers and businesses think about packaging and its function.The result was five different packages, which together cover much of the need for the Gotland crafts and souvenir market.

I min undersökning studerar jag elevernas interaktion face-to-face på raster där den bärbara datorn finns med. Syftet är att undersöka hur den bärbara datorn påverkar interaktionen mellan eleverna på raster. Mina frågeställningar är hur och när elever är socialt responsiva respektive asocialt responslösa på raster samt hur elevernas interaktionsritualer ser ut? Jag har använt en kvalitativ metod för att kunna besvara mitt syfte och mina frågeställningar. Jag intervjuade fem elever i årskurs ett på en gymnasieskola i Karlstad och genomförde tre observationstillfällen. Studien visar att den egna datorn både kan ses som en tillgång och hinder på raster för elever på gymnasiet vid interaktion.

The object of this thesis is to discuss the limits of the hypertext concept. The issue is whether the concept of hypertext necessarily depends on the conditions of the electronic media and www, or if the concept of hypertext more likely is founded on certain textual structures and strategies. In the light of contributions to hypertext theory during the 1990s, this thesis compares different views on hypertext, and concludes with an evaluation. The poem it the authors own translation of the original Danish title det, written in 1969 by the system-poet Inger Christensen, is the object of this case study. The poem is analysed with respect to its structural organisation and literary composition.

The gap between rich and poor is increasing. Economic inequality is widening on a global level but also in individual countries like the USA and Sweden. The consequences for individuals are great considering life chance, health, educational level and standard of living. The curriculum for social studies from 1994 as well as the curriculum coming in effect 2011 emphasize the importance of teaching social class as a tool to interpret development in Sweden as well as the world. Earlier studies have looked at how much and in what way textbooks discuss gender, sexuality and ethnicity but social class has been overlooked. This study examines if social class is described in textbooks written for high school. The study also analyzes in which way social class is described.

SammanfattningSyftet med denna studie är att undersöka hur naturen och människans relation till naturen beskrivs i barnböcker, riktade mot förskolan, för att diskutera det i förhållande till utbildning för hållbar utveckling. I föreliggande examensarbete har en ekokritisk studie av materialet genom textanalys gjorts för att analysera hur barnlitteraturen beskriver människans förhållningssätt till naturen. Studiens resultat visar att biocentrismen, som främjar ett samspel mellan människa och natur, är dominerande i litteraturen samt att den senmoderna antropocentrismen, med människan i centrum men med fokus på ett resursvist leverne, var tydligt representerad.     Slutsatsen av studien är att flera av böckerna i urvalet verkar vara möjliga att använda i utbildning för hållbar utveckling då de fokuserar på naturen, visar på mänskligt ansvar samt tillskriver naturen ett egenvärde. Trots att studien har fokus på den ekologiska dimensionen av hållbar utveckling så är även övriga två dimensioner närvarande. Människan uppmanas att vara resursvis vilket kan kopplas till den ekonomiska dimensionen.
