In the faster growing pace of changes and competition in the global economy, factors promoting group effectiveness are of interest. How do components of leadershipstyle, especially transformational, team climate and selfefficacy correlate? To answer this question 3 questionnaires regarding leadershipstyle (MLQ), team climate (TCI-Short) and selfefficacy (self developed) were distributed to employees of a Swedish installation company (108 participants). Moderate positive correlations were found between climate and selfefficacy and between varying elements of leadership and selfefficacy. The leadership behaviour Contingent Reward correlated moderately with all climate dimensions and strongly with selfefficay.

The aim of the study has been to investigate physiotherapists? view on a new method of treatment in physiotherapy. In this case we have studied Whole Body Vibration training as an example of a new method of treatment. Semistructured interviews were performed with five physiotherapists. The study was carried out as a qualitative content analysis study.

Allt sedan internet gjorde sitt intåg i världens hem har tjänsterna blivit alltmer resurskrävande. Denna utveckling kommer att fortsätta. Trådbundna abonnenter har gått från att surfa via långsamma modem till att behöva höghastighetsbredband. Abonnenter som valt mobilt bredband som anslutningsteknik har ökat lavinartat. Dessvärre kommer inte den mobila tekniken att leva upp till framtidens allt större krav på bandbredd eftersom anslutningen är för okontinuerlig för tyngre streamade tjänster.

I detta projekt har ett verktyg utvecklats för visualisering av energianvändning. Det är ett samarbetsprojekt mellan Luleå Energi och MAX i syfte att driva utvecklingen framåt inom energieffektivisering. Arbetet innefattar grundmätning, framtagande av grafik, teknikval och installation av visualiseringsutrustning på tre restauranger, belägna i Piteå, på Vasagatan och i Arninge i Stockholmsområdet. För att kunna jämföra energianvändningen restauranger emellan har ett nyckeltal tagits fram som ställer energianvändning mot omsättning. Resultaten visar att energianvändningen i Piteårestaurangen har minskat i med genomsnitt 8% enligt detta nyckeltal under testperioden.

BackgroundToday a common approach to solve a complicated problem is to assemble a temporary workforce in order to solve the problem by working together within a project. One of the difficulties with working in projects is to maintain the planned budget. Working hours and costs are often exceeded. Many companies presume that any certain project will succeed, a presumption that leads companies not to anticipate risks involved in a project. In companies today there is seldom time for evaluation or moderation of a project, in order to have time for evaluation there is a great need for an adequate planning of the project.IntentThe intention with this study is to create a model for planning, budgeting and evaluation of projects within consultancy companies.MethodWith the help of interviews and discussions within the group Hamnar och Byggkonstruktioner at Sweco has evidence to present a proposal on planning, budgeting and monitoring been developed.ResultsA model has been developed to ease for consultancy companies to plan, budget, monitor and evaluate projects.

Studiens syfte var att undersöka huruvida arbetsrelaterade identiteter och ambitioner skiljer sig åt beroende på anställningsform, tillsvidareanställning (N = 26) och tidsbegränsad anställning (N = 22). En enkät besvarades av 48 individer, fördelade på fem avdelningar på ett sjukhus i Mellansverige. Respondenterna skattade de arbetsrelaterade identitetsmåtten: organisationsidentitet, professionsidentitet, medarbetaridentitet, identitetsbehov och identitetskonflikt samt ambitionsmåtten: engagemang, framsteg/karriär och konflikt. Resultatet visade att det finns intressanta skillnader i enskilda frågor, exempelvis att tidsbegränsat anställda i högre grad är nöjda med valet av profession än tillsvidareanställda. Samtidigt skulle de tillsvidareanställda förlora vem jag är-känslan mer om de förlorade sitt arbete, än de tidsbegränsat anställda.

This study aims to examine how the interventions for homeless persons in the municipality of Kalmar are organized. The study is based on four half-structured qualitative interviews with both representatives from different instances and also from persons who have experience of being homeless.The theoretical bases we have used to analyze the material are organization theory, specifically the concept of bureaucracy. Our results show that homelessness is not seen as a problem in itself, since the general view is that homeless people often have a complex problem scenario where drug- and alcohol abuse and mental illness are common.It is often the latter that takes priority in the interventions and the housing question is therefore neglected. We also found that social services do not have a satisfactory structure around the organization of the work on homelessness. They do not have any specific device in Kalmar that focus on homelessness issues with the result that the existing units are forced to take care of the work of homelessness.

This essay is about Skelleftea church town which is named Bonnstan and refers to the city for farmers. Originally, its mission was to function as temporary residence for long distance travelers of the villages, during weekends intended for religious gatherings. Bonnstan have furthermore periodically and in lesser extent been used as permanently abode for domestic workers. Nowadays the area consists of 114 cottages with nearly 400 chambers.The earliest known documentation of Skelleftea church town's existence is from the 17th century even though it may have its origin from the Middle Ages. These early church cottages burnt down in 1835 and were restored two years after the accident.

This thesis is a report concerning the practical aspects on exhibition techniques. During an internship at the National History Museum in Stockholm I participated in the work with their new, temporary exhibition Gränslöst - en global utställning på Historiska museet [Boundless - a global voyage of discovery at the National Historical Museum]. I was part of a small project team of museum staff. The purpose of this exhibition was to show how cultures have met and influenced each other throughout history. The National Historical Museum has in its collections and exhibitions several examples of objects that has been imported from or inspired by other cultural areas.

Vi har valt att göra ett konstnärligt utvecklingsarbete för att se betydelsen av helheten i en skapande process.Vårt mål är att undersöka hur processen sätter igång olika förmågor för att inhämta kunskaper.Vår litteraturstudie baserar sig på olika områden inom vetenskap, konst och filosofi.Valet blev att inte fördjupa oss i en speciell problemställning utan att få med alla de delar som vi behöver för att utvecklas till hela människor.Vårt tillvägagångsätt för att nå målet skedde i form av en installation (DenVandrande Pilgrimen), som är ett artisktiskt sätt att montera in olika föremål till en insiktsfull helhet.Vi har även sammankopplat vårt KU och vår utvecklingsprocess till ett pedagogiskt perspektiv.Resultatet som vi kom fram till var att insikter och kunskaper får ett större värde och att vi bättre minns relationerna till verkligheten genom att använda oss av estetiska verktyg..

This thesis considers the use of an oldrock cavern as thermal energy storage.With a large system of differentchillers a model was created to find anappropriate future system. There aremainly two trajectories to take. Eitheran installation of chillers needs to bemade or the rock cavern can be used tomeet the future demand of districtcooling in Solna, Sweden. Additionallythis thesis investigates the possibleuse of different techniques to utilizethe phase change energy of water.Simulation shows that it?s possible toutilize the phase-change energy of afluid; however it?s not economicallyfeasible due to the thermodynamiceffects on the Carnot cycle.

This study is about organizing major sporting events. Sporting events? numerous positive outcomes for the hosting region has resulted in a growing number and size of sporting events globally. The aim of this study was therefore to provide further knowledge about how organizations in major sport events practically and strategically operate and how processes related to organization and leadership can contribute to the success of the event. The study focuses the context of a Swedish national multi-sport event hosted and held by three different cities, three different years.

Syftet bakom denna uppsats har varit att belysa och skapa en förståelse för en temporär dimension av landskapsarkitektur. Uppsatsen behandlar det temporära som ett gestaltningsbegrepp och undersöker hur det praktiskt skulle kunna tillämpas samt om det finns behov i staden av tillfälliga upplevelser. Arbetet baseras på en litteraturstudie och för att bekräfta denna utfördes även en lättare observation av en temporär installation. Resultatet tyder på att ett förändrat synsätt på staden och stadens rum är aktuellt. Det tillfälliga skulle kunna berika den sociala dimensionen, våra minnen och skapa mer kreativa stadsrum.

This is a qualitative study with a reflexive approach. The aim of this masters thesis is to describe how the internal information is managed in Borås Theatre and Borås Public Library related to the internal flow of information within the organisations according to descriptions of different units, staff and work tasks. Ten qualitative semi-structured interviews with employees at the Theatre and the Library have been conducted. The organisations have been studied separately. The interviews are presented according to six categories presented in the theory chapter as a result of the study.
