This final-year project has been performed at Strix production Efterlyst. The task has been to make a page under their homepage, with a game application that?s supposed to be interesting and also have a strong connection to the TV- program. In the first part of the report, the reader will learn about the preparing work that was done before the work with the final game began. It is in these two test versions all the technical problems were tested, to finally be used or thrown away.

ABSTRACTThis project thesis has been written at the request of Mälardalens University, Västerås.The aeronautical engineering students at Mälardalens University and the pupils of Hässlö upper secondary school, all gets the opportunity to perform a computation lab with a real turbojet engine during their study. The goal of the lab from the University is that it should give the students applied experience from the theory part of which has been tought in the course ?Aircraft Engine Technology?. The pupils of the Hässlö upper secondary school are performing simpler calculations from the measured values of the equipment. This turbojet engine is located at Hässlö airport in the premises of Hässlö upper seconday school.Since the installation 1989, the engine has lost both thrust and reliability. This makes the theoretical computations made by the students inaccurate.
Design och konstruktion av laborationsutrustning till en kraftelektronikkurs
The purpose of this degree project was to build laboratory equipment for a new course in power electronics that starts this autumn 2010 at Uppsala University. The equipment is intended for student labs and it covers the most important areas of the course including rectifying, buck-/boost-converters and PWM-modulation. It is built as one sealed unit where all the electronics are built-in but visible and it has a connection board where students safely can connect the different circuits. The project has advanced from theoretical studies of circuit design, choosing of components and simulations to drawing the printed circuit board (PCB), soldering, case building, final testing and troubleshooting - basically most steps from an early idea to a final product. Measurements on the final product gave about the same results as the earlier simulations of the circuits and the result is overall satisfying..
Dramawebben: Att välja tekniska lösningar för digitalisering
This study is predominantly qualitative. It is also descriptive to a large extent and notoriented towards hypothesis-testing. The study aims at studying what has influenceddigitization of old Swedish dramatical works through the Dramawebben projekt, whilefocusing on the technical solutions. Four different data collection methods have been applied.Interviews and a questionaire with open-ended questions were the two primary tools. Adocument analysis and observations were applied as well.Examples from earlier research to relate to questions about digitization as an institutional andsocietal practice are presented.
Förbrukningsreduktion : Ett alternativ till gasturbiner som snabb aktiv störningsreserv?
The gas turbines in the Swedish secondary reserve are reaching the end of their technical lifetime, hence alternative solutions need to be considered. One of the solutions thought to have the greatest potential is the use of so called consumptionreduction. By entering contracts with large consumers, agreements are made to reduce consumption in the event of major disturbances in the power system and thus being used as a secondary reserve. This thesis investigates the feasibility of consumption reduction as part of the secondary reserve. This has been achieved by developing a requirement specification for the disturbance reserve and by studying the technical and economic potential for consumption reduction among a range of consumers.The technical potential for consumption reduction that fulfils the requirements for participating in the secondary reserve are on average 750 MW in SE 3 and 98 MW in SE 4.

At Volvo Cars Torslanda's paint shop there is a requirement to in a fast and effective way get an overview of the plants capacity. Therefore a capacity template was constructed as a tool for the engineers at Volvo several years ago. This template has during the years become complicated and outdated. Thus this thesis work will resort as a new capacity template, built from scratch. The new template has been built up based on requirements from Volvo and the concept of OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).

Vid Volvo construction equipment AB, Component division i Eskilstuna, har nedväxling i förpackningsstorlekar genomförts som en del i en omfattande omställning mot Volvo Production System och Lean. Genom att producera med mindre satsstorlekar och hemtagningskvantiteter, vill Component division sänka sin kapitalbindning och bli flexiblare mot variationer i produktionen. Dessvärre påverkar nedväxlingen förpackningskostnaden till följd av ytterligare hantering, transport och administration. För Component division är det viktigt att få en god uppfattning om hur alla förpackningskostnader utvecklas med tiden. De vill i framtiden följa ett lämpligt nyckeltal för att se hur effektiva de är inom förpackningslogistik samt hur beslut och förändringar påverkar kostnaden.

Holmen Skog is currently using a GPS-program called TraktInfo, originally
developed within the company. They are now planning to switch to a new GPSprogram
or allowing the contractors to buy other programs available from the
logging equipment manufacturers. To be able to offer this flexibility, Holmen
Skog needs to obtain information about the features offered by the different
manufacturers in their specific programs, and also when the manufacturers are
planning to start selling programs adapted to the new standard called
StanFord2010.
According to the study, the manufacturers are hesitant to StanFord2010 and there
has also been a lack of clear signals from the customers and clients about what
kind of different new features to include in the programs.
The feature most frequently used by forest machine operators today is the option
to keep record of the harvester?s path by creating a ?log plot?. This feature was
not used to its full potential however, since only one out of eight of the forwarders
included in the study had computers that were compatible with the harvester?s
computer.

development projects never reach a successful ending; with other words never
fulfil formulated goals. By identifying and forming success factors (and in
some aspect risk factors) that the project manager in practice can use, this
study may be seen as a step in the direction towards minimising the high number
of failed system development projects.
The purpose of this research report is to investigate how a system development
project, where the development process is based on a specific development or
process model (in this case the Waterfall model), can and should be driven. I
aim to clarify what is demanded of a project leader for the specific
development process and give an account for which eventual leadership qualities
that can be well suited for given situation in relation to the need for
technical competence.
Among other things the project manager should inspire confidence, drive, be a
decision maker, engage and own some form of basic knowledge in the field of
system development.

Mobile Arts have a technical platform for handling maps and community-featured Points of Interest in cellular phones, where the users themselves can share locations with other users either in groups or public. Development of the platform regarding network communication has been included in this paper. The work evaluates different feasible business models regarding packaging the platform as a commercial application and also faces issues users have when using the product. Even if users found maps and POI interesting and cool in cellulars, the technical difficulties and lack of product focus during beta testing, were present. Therefore, the writers recommendation is more development of the platform and using a business model where Mobile Arts deliver to existing communities.
Utvärdering av ett större bergvärmesystem i en flerbostadsfastighet som har konverterats från fjärrvärme
This master thesis is an in-depth study of an existing heating system at a household cooperative in Uppsala that has been converted from district heating to a bedrock heat pump system. The study focuses on an economical system optimisation of the building?s complete heating system. The aim was to determine how well a heat pump system in large buildings actually work, find out possible ways to optimize the existing system and point out important system parameters for new heat pump installations in larger buildings.The project points out a possible energy cost reduction of 45 % without investment and further cost reductions with equipment investments. A reduction by 30 % is possible by improvements in the regulation system and 15 % is possible by maintaining the brine system.
