Biblioteket och svenska för invandrare: en undersökning av folkbibliotekets funktion i andraspråksinlärning
The purpose of this master's thesis is to find out what support Students of Swedish for Immigrants (sfi) think they get from the public library during their study of the Swedish language. One important aspect in this essay is to examine whether the library can meet the need of Swedish-speaking meeting places where the sfi-Students can practise their new language. The method used in this study is qualitative interviews. Nine sfi-Students, one sfiteacher and one librarian have been interviewed. A sociocultural perspective on learning has served as a theoretical starting point.

The purpose of this Masters thesis is to study Students perception of the services that the library staff provides and the library staffs opinion of the Students perceptions. With the concept service we mean the treatment, the attitudes and the qualities that exist between the library staff and their users. Our purpose is also to examine how the users experienced services quality. Our survey was conducted at an academic library with questionnaires to both Students and library staff. We analysed the result of the survey by using three theories by Lundmark, Keen and Grönroos and Monthelie.

In this case, higher education, meaning college and university. With this disposition in our society, how does it affect the Students? How does this change of society and our universities affect the Students of these institutions?
In this study we have chosen to examine the choices of Students in universities in several Swedish cities.

This study is about how Students view the effects teachers have on their self-esteem and self-confidence. The theoretical background covers the consequences of success and failures, and the interaction between Students and teachers, in regards of self-esteem and self-confidence. The purpose of the study was to examine what had in-fluenced the Students? self-esteem and self-confidence in the interaction with teachers. To reach the goal of the study, several qualitative interviews were made with the following questions as base:? Which factors does the student consider to be of importance for their self-esteem and self-confidence in the interaction with teachers?? How does the student feel that these factors were affected concerning their self-esteem and self-confidence?During the analysis and systematization of the transcribed interviews, five factors emerged that effects self-esteem and self-confidence.

The purpose of this master's thesis is to investigate how the Students at Chalmers University of Technology at Lindholmen in Gothenburg use libraries in their schoolwork. The empirical material consists of the answers of questionnaires that were handed out to two classes of Students, on the second year of their education. To illustrate the topic there are a theoretical frame and examples of earlier studies. The theoretical frame is Limbergs texts that deal with for example information seeking and how important it is in all education. The earlier studies are about student's different ways of using libraries.
Elever och lärare på yrkesförberedande program - deras tankar kring undervisningsmetoder i samhällskunskapämnet : Students and teachers in vocational programmes - their thoughts regarding teaching methods in social sciences
In this examination project I look into what ways upper secondary school Students conceive themselves as politically influenced before they voted for the general election of 2010. The purpose is to examine which influences the upper secondary school surroundings and the classes of civic education are contributing with to Students before they voted. As a method, I have used personal, semi-structural interviews on eight upper secondary school Students who all voted for a party represented in the parliament. I have asked questions about how they believe their parents, the surroundings of their school and the classes of civic education have influenced them. To separate which influences primarily the upper secondary school and the classes of civic educations have had on the Students, I have selected two comparison groups of four Students in each.

The interviews were recorded with a cellphone and transcribed.

The purpose of this bachelor's thesis is to examine the information needs and behavior of Swedish theater Students. The aim is to get an increased insight into how theater Students search and use information as they create their character roles and also to examine how the information seeking is integrated in the creative process. The findings of this study have been made through qualitative data gathered from five interviews with six theater Students who are studying at the Swedish Theater Academy. These Students studied between autumn term of 2014 and spring term of 2015. To analyze the result of the interviews four different theories? have been used, Carol Kuhlthau?s information search process model, Lars Höglund and Olle Perssons model of four domains, Lars Höglund and Olle Perssons information search barriers and Tom Wilson?s model of information behavior.

Aim: The purpose of this study was to describe, analyze and compare university Students? desire to have children, when they wanted to have their first and last child and their knowledge about fecundity in relation to the background factors: age, gender and educational level. This study will also investigate differences regarding university Students? desire to have children along with when they wanted to have their first and last child and their knowledge of declining fecundity at increasing age. Method: A descriptive, comparative, cross-sectional study with quantitative method was used in the study.

Secondary schools have for decades debated whether they promote social reproduction which is considered to generate the homogeneous student compositions. The gap between the academic programs and vocational education programs is considered to increase. What in recent years has appeared in research is that the gap is increasing most tend to be in the specific academic program, particularly in science. This paper's intention is to describe the science program at a local level and the pupils who were admitted to the science program autumn 2009 on the basis of an educational sociological perspective. The survey consisted of a census in which all Students were given the opportunity to answer a questionnaire.

The aim of this study is to examine Swedish teachers? role and attitude in the Swedish subject towards motivation and reading fiction at upper secondary school. We are also interested in investigating whether or not there are any differences regarding the way teachers motivate Students? depending on their choice of education or not. The method we chose in order to achieve this was interviews with teachers.

This thesis is a study about wether first year Students in Swedish senior high schools understand the learning intentions and the matter of the subject of history specified in GY 11 introduced in July 2011. The overall question that this master tries to answer is: Do the Students understand what and why they are studying history? Three classes studying the first history course in the new system answered a survey regarding five of the specified learning intentions for the course and their overall opinion of grades and level of knowledge and intentions. By measuring the level of understanding and the Students? general opinion the conclusion is following.

Studieval och yrkesval : En jämförande studie om elevers val på Teknikprogrammet respektive El- och energiprogrammet.
The purpose of this study is to understand the factors that are affecting Students at the Technology and Electricity- and energy programs in their choice of studies and vocation. The study is a comparative case study and quantitative method has been used in the form of questionnaires. The result shows that Students do not like to be affected by another person but believes that they themselves have made their choice. Interest turns out to be the biggest influence factor of choice for both Students at the Technology and Electricity- and energy program. For Electricity- and energy Students have also access to work had some impact.The parents' education level was higher for Technician Students and their parents worked with occupations requiring university degrees.
Klickers ur ett studentperspektiv : Studenters uppfattning av klickers vid Uppsala universitet
Audience responese technology (ART) often called clickers are becoming more common, not only internationally but also at Swedish universities. No direct Swedish research has been identified, this is however a major area of research internationally. There is both research on clickers positive effect on study results and how Students feel about using clickers. This study has taken a Swedish translated version of Cheesman, Winograd, and Wehrman?s (2010) survey to investigate how perception of clickers differ between Students in Disciplinary Domain of Medicine and Pharmacy and Disciplinary Domain of Science and Technology.
