Syftet med denna studie var att beräkna preliminär prevalens för sjukdomen multipel skleros (MS) i Värmland, med prevalensdag 21 december 2002, och jämföra den med andra prevalensstudier i Sverige. Utifrån patientjournaler vid länets sjukvårdsinrättningar noterades basala och medicinska data på ett registreringsformulär. För klassificering av MS har Poser ?s kriterielista tillämpats och granskningen av journaler har utförts av Specialist neurologer. Prevalensen för definite/probable MS i Värmland, baserad på siffror som var insamlade augusti 2004, var 151/105 (95% CI 136-165), för kvinnor var prevalensen 211/105 (95% CI 187-235) och för män 89/105 (95% CI 73-105), vilket innebär att MS var 2,37 gånger vanligare för kvinnor.

The purpose of this study is to increase understanding of how parents of children in need of special support have experienced their interaction with the pre-school. Our three main areas of interest were to investigate how several parents experienced their contact with the pre-school, if there were any experienced factors that had played a part in the contact with the pre-school and if we could conclude anything about how the curriculum had been followed in these cases, with assistance of the parents? experiences.Our study is qualitative and we chose to interview six parents. We both participated in all of the interviews. The theoretical base of this study is rooted in the phenomenological theory and we also used the framework factor theory to complement our analysis.One of our conclusions was that the parents expressed so many different experiences that we decide not to try compare them in general.

The purpose of this study is to explore how teachers in Sweden and Croatia work with children that have problems like ADHD and dyslexia in school. I have chosen to compare pedagogical methods between Swedish and Croatian teachers which are used in work with children with difficulties when it comes to the education and teachers approach to these children. I have done a qualified study and have interviewed teachers in both Sweden and Croatia and one Specialist in pedagogy in Croatia. I compared with these interviews information from earlier studies and literature. Results show that teachers in Sweden are of the opinion that every student who has these difficulties is different and therefore the use a variation of pedagogical strategies is crucial.

In this report we examine the NFC (Near Field Communication) technology as far as the development has come until today. We adress different use areas and explain the technical funcionality. By using data collection methods as a Specialist interview and also a survery we want to detect potential risks and safety-issues in implementation of the new technology. Our main-focus in this report is to examine how NFC can play an important role in the developement of social interaction and social media. By compiling our data and research materials we will analyze and present a report conslusion.

Syftet med studien var att beskriva omvårdnad i samband med postoperativt delirium. Metoden var en litteraturstudie byggd på 17 artiklar ur databaserna CINAHL och Medline. Studien genomfördes enligt en modifierad version av Polit och Becks (2012) modell för litteraturstudier.

Purpose: This study examines pedagogues? thoughts about children?s understanding of death, and their reactions to the death of a relative. The aim is also to examine pedagogues? thoughts about their part in supporting bereaved children, and how they wish to do so. Method: Seven pedagogues, who work with six to nine year old children, were interviewed.

Det är därför viktigt för arbetsgivaren att få kännedom om vad som motiverar Specialistsjuksköterskanatt stanna inom psykiatrisk slutenvård och vad som får henne eller honom att söka sig frånslutenvården.Syfte: Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka Specialistsjuksköterskors inom psykiatrisk vårdoch vårdenhetschefers uppfattningar om möjliga orsaker till varför Specialistsjuksköterskorinom sluten psykiatrisk vård slutar.Metod: Studien är genomförd med kvalitativ metod och fokusgruppsmetoden valdes. En gruppbestod av fyra sjuksköterskor med Specialistutbildning inom psykiatrisk vård. Den andragruppen bestod av två vårdenhetschefer. Intervjuerna spelades in och transkriberades.Materialet analyserades med kvalitativ innehållsanalys.

Informationsteknologi spelar allt större roll i dagens moderna samhälle. Sjukvården är en verksamhet där införandet av nya IT-system kan förväntas leda till stora positiva effekter. Till exempel skulle ett system för tidsbokning on-line för läkarbesök möjliggöra för människor att enkelt och snabbt boka den tid som passar hos familjeläkare eller Specialist. Samtidigt skulle den avlasta läkarsekreterare och frigöra arbetstid som skulle kunna användas till något annat. Men vårdpersonal kan uppleva IT som ett hot.

The aim of this essay was to examine what kind of help and support social services departement can offer gamblers and their relatives. We also want to examine what the relatives to the gamblers think about the help and support they have got from the social services departement. Central questions we asked were: What kind of help and support can social services department offer the gamblers and there relatives? What kind of help is there to get for children respectively adult relatives? Do the relatives consider that the social worker have enough knowledge about the problem? Do the social workers consider that they have enough knowledge about the problem? This is a qualitative study of three women relatives to the gamblers, three social workers and one Specialist in this problem. We have delimited the study to one big city in Sweden.

According to Wasserman (2000), about 30 to 40 percent among these, show signs of depression. To be aware of the signs of depression, and how an authorized nurse can support the patient is therefore of great value. The introduction to this study describes the symptoms of depression and how depression in elders is expressed. It also describes treatment possibilities and nursing aspects of concern.

Background: In Sweden, heart transplantation increases as a method of treatment. Patients undergoing heart transplantation require special needs of care. Nurses have to increase knowledge about experiences that these patients percieve to conform the health care in the future. In this study, health science has been used as a theoretical frame of reference which includes a patient perspective.Aim: The aim of this study was to describe experiences among patients, elder than 18 years old, undergoing heart transplantation.Method: The method was a qualitative descriptive study with a context analysis based on ten scientific articles and an autobiography corresponding with the aim of the study.Results: The results of this study showed six themes about experiences that emerged among patients undergoing heart transplantation: feeling of vitality, existential crisis, importance of social support, destructive feelings, capacity of going on and the experience of quality of life.Conclusion: It?s not a guarantee that the quality of life will increase among patients undergoing heart transplantation and they need a Specialist trained nurse available to support at all hours..
