Background:Chronic heart failure (CHF) is a complex clinical condition. The higher survival rate after heart attack and other heart diseases, plus aging population, has led to more CHF patients. Symptoms can have negative impact on exercise capacity, ability to perform activities of daily living and quality of life. Heart failure clinics have been established to help better quality of life. Helping to stabilize and maintain patients´ health can reduce the need of hospital admission.
Främjande av egenvård för patienter med typ 2-diabetes inom primärvården - diabetessjuksköterskans upplevelser
ABSTRACTBackground: The incidence of type 2 diabetes is increasing worldwide. Early intervention in form of medication, advice on self-management and lifestyle changes is necessary to avoid complications. Few Swedish studies are made on the diabetes nurse?s views on promotion of self- management.Purpose: To examine the diabetes Specialist nurse?s experience of promoting self-management to patients with type 2 diabetes in primary care. Method: A qualitative explorative study where eight diabetes nurses were interviewed. The interview guide consisted of semistructed questions concerning the promotion of self-management.Results: The diabetes nurse?s role in promoting patient self-management is significant, if resources are available in the form of adequate time for the patient and good team work.

The area of research has formerly described which results customer-involvement lead to, but have been scarce in describing how results are produced. Method: From a qualitative onset, a case-study collecting data through observations and interviews capturing customer knowledge contributions, and producer use of fetched knowledge has been conducted. Data has been analyzed using a grounded theory approach. Results have been processed in several steps in which material has been categorized and enriched continuously. Result & Conclusions: Customer-knowledge is broken down into market-knowledge, everyday-knowledge, and Specialist-knowledge, which all are significant to a producer of goods.

Att arbeta som specialistsjuksköterska inom kirurgisk vård : En kvalitativ studie
Bakgrund: Studier har visat att sjuksköterskors utbildningsnivå har betydelse för patientsäkerheten på kirurgiska vårdavdelningar. I Sverige är rollen som Specialist-sjuksköterska inom kirurgisk vård ganska okänd och antalet Specialistsjuksköterskor inom denna specialitet är få.Syfte: Syftet var att beskriva vilka förväntningar Specialistsjuksköterskor inom kirurgisk vård har på sin yrkesroll samt att ta del av och beskriva deras erfarenheter av att arbeta som Specialistsjuksköterskor.Metod: Kvalitativ studie med deskriptiv design. Specialistsjuksköterskor inom kirurgisk vård (n=29) från fem olika sjukhus deltog i studien. Urvalet gjordes med bekvämlighetsurval. För datainsamling användes ett studiespecifikt formulär med öppna frågor.

Introduction Malignant lymphoma is the most common haematological blood cancer diagnosis. In spring 2013 a questionnaire was handed out to patients with various haematological malignancies. The results showed that the patients requested more verbal and written information about their disease and treatment. Providing information about chemotherapy and how it affects the patient's quality of life is part of the nursing care. Communication between nurse and patient is very important to share experiences and knowledge with each other Aim The aim is to describe the information and communication patients with malignant lymphoma demand, based on their own experience, in meeting with the nurse before and during curative chemotherapy treatment at a haematology outpatient clinic.

This study will focus on the methods and consequences associated with a change of Holmen Skog?s payment model from per hour to per metric ton for ballast hauling.
The aim of this study is to improve the economic efficiency of Holmen Skog?s ballast hauling in construction and maintenance of forest truck roads. This is done by formulating and evaluating a proposal for a payment model based on crowns per ton.

This thesis work aims to describe the prerequisites for a distributed treatment platform for real-time sharing of rounds performed by paediatric oncologists. The work started during the autumn 2004 and is directly aimed at improving the situation for the thirty or so Specialist treating children with cancer. The work is not limited to the description of such a platform but also to select suitable software and hardware for the implementation of the platform and further more to coordinate the implementation. The production of several documents describing the platform is also part of this work. The work successfully led to the implementation of such a platform as described in the published article Barnradioterapi på distans Kristenssen et.
Specialister för speciella ? en studie om revisorers (o)likabehandling vid rådgivning
Det har länge debatterats huruvida det är lämpligt att revisorer arbetar med både revision ochfristående rådgivning. Vid granskande revision ingår rådgivning som en av revisorns skyldighetertill skillnad från fristående rådgivning som görs på klientens förfrågan. Frågorna kan ofta beröraområden som är komplexa där revisorns kunskaper inte är tillräckliga. I sådana situationer skarevisorn rådfråga en Specialist på området för att säkerställa att det svar som lämnas är adekvat.Revisorers användning av Specialister är ett område som ännu inte har utforskats i någon störreutsträckning. Framförallt gällande revisorers likabehandling av klienter oberoende av storlek.Syftet är att granska och beskriva revisorers användning av Specialister med fokus på tvåparametrar i form av revisorns erfarenhet samt klienternas storlek.
Införandet av intranät
I denna rapport har jag försökt göra en studie om hur Skövde kommun skall gå till väga för att implementera ett intranät. Kommunen har över 3000 anställda och jag intervjuade 12 förvaltningschefer för att få fram deras önskningar och åsikter.I början av rapporten introducerar jag vad konceptet intranät betyder i stort och hur det har kommit till. I kapitel tre kommer mina frågeställningar.Slutsatsen i arbetet är i stort sätt att jag rekommenderar att kommunen sätter igång ett pilotprojekt där en IT-Specialist är projektledare. Projektet kan ta hänsyn till den önskelista som jag tog fram från intervjuerna med cheferna.Rapporten avslutas med en diskussion om arbetets gång..

Bakgrund: Hiv (humant immunbristvirus) är ett obotligt kroniskt virus som angriper och försämrar kroppens immunförsvar. Att leva med hiv i dagens samhälle kan innebära fördomar och negativa attityder från allmänheten. De negativa attityderna kan bidra till att många hiv-positiva individer känner utanförskap och bortstötning. För att hiv-positiva individer ska känna en trygghet i vården har vårdpersonalen en viktig roll i mötet. De har som mål att ge vård och behandling med respekt för människors lika värde.

ABSTRACT Introduction: During the past 40 years the ambulance service in Sweden has evolved from mainly being a source of transport to today?s high-tech caring facilities that enable qualified care to start already in the patient?s home. This first level of care is now provided by registered nurses and registered nurses with Specialist training in pre hospital care.At the same time as the care provided is becoming more advanced, results from studies demonstrate that the amount of dispatches to patients that lack the need for ambulance care and transport is increasing. Nurses in pre-hospital care possess the knowledge, training and authority to perform an initial assessment of patients and also treat patients according to local and national guidelines. After the treatment it would sometimes be possible for the patients to remain at home without having to use ambulance transport to an emergency department or in other cases find other means of transport to hospital.
