Every year many individuals became sick listed, it could be for a long time, or a short time but irrespective there will beeffects on the individuals life and on the society. The aim of this study was to describe some relevant psychosocial relationships in the workplace that effect that women become sick listed. The method of the study was a literary study which was based on a number of scientific articles. The result of the study showed that many different factors effects the risk of becoming sick listed. Factors that causes sick leave where many and individual, but lack of social support, bullying, unstructured work environment and theworkplaces management, imbalance between demands and control and the women's situation were factors that had a big influence.

Från litteraturen påverkar införandet av Web Services hos 25 storföretag och 3 myndigheter i Sverige. Undersökningen utfördes genom en enkät där motivations- och problemfaktorerna indelades i tre kategorier: innovation, organisation och miljö/omgivning och dessa graderades sedan på en femgradig skala. Den viktigaste kategorin enligt respondenterna var organisation. Dessutom lämnades möjlighet till att lämna egna faktorer och kommentarer. Inom kategorin innovation graderade respondenterna som högsta motivationsfaktorn att Web Services fungerar bra ihop med kommande standarder och som näst viktigast faktorn fördelar med plattformsoberoende.

Bakgrund: Genom att beskriva definitioner av stress och fysisk aktivitet får läsaren en inblick i dagens situation. Genom att jämföra arbetsmiljölagen och de vanligaste modellerna kan man se vissa gemensamma nämnare. Forskning visar att mer än var fjärde anställd påverkas av arbetsrelaterad stress, vilket är dyrt för samhället då 50-60 % av sjukfrånvaron har ett samband med arbetsrelaterad stress.   Metod: Designen som använts i denna uppsats är en litteraturstudie baserad på tio vetenskapliga artiklar. Olika databaser utnyttjades och de sökord som användes var fysisk aktivitet och arbetsrelaterad stress i olika kombinationer.

This two years master?s thesis in Library and Information Sciences aims to investigate and put the services of 118100 Svar På Allt (SPA, an SMS mobile question and answer service) and Fråga biblioteket (FB, a library operated e-mail reference service) into the context of the reference encounter. Questions sent to SPA and their subsequent answers are analysed, and part of these questions are forwarded to FB for comparative studies. Both of the formats are compared to the reference encounter as a whole. The framing of the question originates in the assumption that there may be a need for further negotiation of the questions submitted to the aforementioned formats.

Denna uppsats är en kvantitaiv undersökning om hur fysisk aktivitet påverkar självrapporterad stress. Det har utgåtts från syftet att undersöka hur fysisk aktivitet påverkar stress i människors vardag och beskriva om skillnader finns mellan två olika gym i olika städer. Undersökningen genomfördes som en tvärsnittsstudie på två gym, ett gym i Borås och ett gym i Mjölby. Föreliggande uppsats vände sig till gymbesökare, män och kvinnor, som var minst 15 år fyllda. För att få in svar som var av intresse användes enkäter med följebrev där respondenterna var helt anonyma.

Homelessness has always been and will always be a problem in every society. How should we organize the work and care for these people? There are three different types of welfare states, the liberal, the conservative and the social democratic. In the liberal welfare state the market is the supplier of the public good. In the conservative state the family and church and in the social democratic the state is the supplier of the public welfare.The Swedish welfare state has been the archetype of social democratic welfare with de principal of ?Folkhemmet? in focus.

Den industrialiserade världen har de senaste årtiondena genomgått förändringar vilket har bidragit till att en ny tidsperiod uppkommit. Tidsperioden benämns enligt forskaren Arnett (2007) som Emerging Adulthood och har den svenska översättningen vuxenblivande. Perioden sträcker sig mellan åren 18-25. Stress är en känsla av press som för stunden inte är hanterbar och stressnivån har under de senaste åren ökat markant hos gymnasieelever. Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka om vuxenblivande samt stress skiljer hos elever som läser ett yrkesförberedande respektive ett högskoleförberedande program.

Stress är idag ett välanvänt begrepp som existerar i många personers vardag och kan ilångvariga tillstånd ge negativa efterverkningar. Forskning kring området stress ochätbeteende har visat på spridda resultat men majoriteten visar dock på liten till stor förändringav ätbeteendet. Studien syftade till att undersöka skillnader i ätbeteende, vid låg respektivehög upplevd stressnivå hos män (24-65 år). Genom ett bekvämlighetsurval skickades enwebbenkät bestående av Perceived Stress Scale samt frågor som belyser ätbeteende ut till engrupp män (n=119). Svarsfrekvensen uppgick till 61 % (n=72).

BACKGROUND: Mental disorders amongst students, has increased, and foremost amongst girls. One way to regulate their emotions, is by deliberate self-harm. Due to their profession, school nurses have the ability to detect self-harm amongst students, and can therefor give them a good professional support. AIM: The aim of this study is to describe the school nurse's experience of deliberate self-harm amongst students. METHOD: The study is based on thirteen interviews with school nurses, via e-mail.

The main purpose of this master thesis is to identify the issues concerning the transformation process of a product oriented company into a service oriented company, and how these issues can be overcome. We will exemplify this by developing a dewatering pump rental concept for ABS, and identify the drivers and barriers for ABS when implementing the service oriented rental concept in Sweden and Poland. This master thesis is based on the systems perspective. The reason for this is the required holistic perspective, where the system has to be regarded from different points of departure in order to be understood. The theoretical studies include services and change management.

The aim of this study is to look how the Social Service has handled custody issues. The study has a legal and social aspect with a purpose to investigate how the law affects the social administration as well as the family. During a period of one year a quantitative and qualitative study was performed within the social administration in a nearby community. The study focus is partly on the relationship between the law, family and society. The main questions have been: Which one of the parents, mother or father, did in fact get the custody and why? How has the children?s point of view been reported in the inquiry? A child needs a well organized everyday life in a preferably conflict free environment.

Syftet med examensarbetet var att undersöka orsakerna till varför studie- och yrkesvägledare i grundskolan upplever, eller inte upplever, stress, samt om detta påverkar utförandet av arbetsuppgifterna. Urvalet av informanter gjordes med avsikt att de skulle representera skolor med olika sociala miljöer i Tåstad. Undersökningen har utförts genom en litteraturstudie och en kvalitativ intervjuundersökning med mestadels öppna frågor så att informanterna gavs möjlighet att beskriva tankar, känslor och upplevelser. Undersökningen visar att upplevelsen av stress är individuell. Flertalet av studie- och yrkesvägledarna, som ingått i studien, upplever stress periodvis, ändock uppfattas det allmänt sett inte som något större problem.

On March 1, 2012, Google introduced its new privacy policy which is applicable to all Google services. This means that search history may be saved by Google indefinitely and may also be associated with the specific account during the first 18 months. We assume that few people read this policy and we have hypotheses that a deeper knowledge of the contents of the privacy policy affects how users perceive Google as a company and/or the usage of Google services. In this study, we have conducted surveys at the IT University of Gothenburg, to investigate how many participants that have read or possess some knowledge of the privacy policy. We have found that very few participants claim to have read the privacy policy.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the association between physical activity and perceived stress, energy and musculoskeletal disorders among office-workers and warehouse-workers and also to see if there were any differences depending on work-place and gender. The method that was used to collect data was three different validated questionnaires that measured stress and energy (the Stress-Energy questionnaire), musculoskeletal disorders (intensity and localization of pain, a Pain Drawing questionnaire with a VAS-scale) and physical activity (IPAQ ? the short version). Eighty-eight workers participated in the study. Forty-seven of them were office-workers and forty-one were warehouse-workers.

The aim of this thesis was to study how social workers in social services in several municipalities perceive that they interpret the concept of domestic violence and how they believe they would act when it comes to different types of domestic violence. The thesis has focused on three types of violence; physical, psychological and economical. Seven social workers were interviewed with a thematised interview guide and six vignettes. The theoretical perspectives applied in the analysis were the process of normalization and the continuum of violence. The results showed that the social workers did not interpret domestic violence unanimous, and they had different ideas of how they would act in the vignettes.
