Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka gränserna för den disciplinerade socialiteten igrundskolan, hur gränserna sätts och hur avvikare konstrueras. Empirin baseras på intervjuermed en elev som under sin skolgång utvecklade en avvikaridentitet, samt elevens föräldrar ochrektor.Analyserna visar att gränserna för den disciplinerade socialiteten blir snävare med åren. Frånen öppen friare socialitet i förskolan till allt mindre utrymme för individuella olikheter igrundskolan.Kollektiva abstrakta restriktioner sätts upp av en maktfull grupp (pedagogerna och rektorn)som bygger på öppna regler (styrdokument, skolans regler) men även dolda (den doldaläroplanen). Utifrån dessa skapas och förhandlas individuella konkreta restriktioner fram. Närindividen bryter mot de individuella restriktionerna finns risken att denna stigmatiseras utifrån enabstrakt kategorisering som av den maktfulla gruppen projiceras på individen.

The aim of this thesis is to interpret and discuss the weapon-graves of Viking Age Birka. The weapon-grave phenomenon is deemed differential in relation to the rest of the grave-material of the site, and thus the questions that motivate the thesis is: who was buried with weapons and why? Further questions arise regarding the social aspects of individuals who were buriedalong with weapons. The theoretical approach will be to evaluate any differences in 'social class', 'social age' and 'gender' between the weapon-grave contexts. By conducting qualitativeand quantified analysis of the grave-goods, this thesis adresses both overall and detailed patterns in correlation and constellations between weapons, other grave-goods and terms of burial..

Studerade effekten av social ångest och självfokusering på attributionsstil och impressionsbildning. En 2 (uppmätt hög/låg social ångest) x 2 (manipulerad hög/låg självfokusering) design användes. Deltagarna var 68 studenter, 56 kvinnor och 12 män. För attributionsstil användes separata skalor för bra och dåliga händelser. För impressionsbildning användes en positiv och en negativ skala.

Bröstcancer är den vanligaste cancersjukdomen bland kvinnor i Sverige. Mastektomi är ett kirurgiskt ingrepp där hela bröstet opereras bort och detta är en vanlig behandling vid bröstcancer. Att förlora ett bröst kan innebära stora förändringar i kvinnans kroppsbild och identitet. Syftet med denna litteraturbaserade studie var att beskriva hur kvinnor upplever att identiteten och kroppsbilden påverkas efter mastektomi. Metoden som användes var en kvalitativ litteraturbaserad metod baserad på 11 artiklar med kvalitativ ansats.

Intimate partner violence (IPV) is a recognized social problem. The IPV is common in all types of intimate relations, this essays purpose was focused on the violence performed by women against men. To find the social workers conceptions the study conducted a survey sent to local social service in Sweden. The essay had a statistic approach to visualize the social workers conceptions, and a discursive approach to focus on the language used in text answers. Different aspects of the violence were explored to find the conceptions.

Syftet med uppsatsen avser först och främst en undersökning av de individuella och sociala förhållanden som kan ha påverkat en specifik grupp ungdomar och unga män att utveckla och upprätthålla ett kriminellt beteende under ungdomsåren. Jag har genomfört intervjuer med två unga män med ett kriminellt förflutet men även åtta ungdomar som fortfarande är inne på den kriminella banan.  Tanken med intervjuerna var att få en inblick i männens och ungdomarnas sätt att se på sitt kriminella beteende men också för att kunna undersöka vad som påverkade dem att utveckla ett kriminellt beteende. Deras upplevelser och erfarenheter har legat i fokus för att jag skulle kunna skapa en förståelse för deras beteende utifrån relevanta socialpsykologiska teorier. Studien utgår från kvalitativa intervjuer som utvecklas vidare i analysdelen med hjälp av utvalda teoretiska perspektiv, såsom Howard S. Beckers stämplingsteori, Urie Bronfenbrenners utvecklingsekologiska teori, Walter Millers kulturöverföringsteori och Peter L. Berger och Thomas Luckmanns socialisationsteori. Resultatet visar bland annat att ungdomar kan komma att välja den kriminella banan i samband med påtryckningar från deras umgängeskrets men det kan också handla om kulturskillnader. Majoriteten av mina intervjupersoner har utländsk bakgrund och kommer från en kultur med helt andra normer och regler än det svenska samhällets.

Många drabbas av social ångest. Vikt och kroppsuppfattning relaterar till social ångest men sambandet behöver tydliggöras. Syftet med studien var att se hur mycket av variationen i social ångest över tid som kan förklaras av vikt-, och kroppsrelaterade mått, samt undersöka könsskillnader. Studien var longitudinell och baserades på en enkätundersökning vid två insamlingstillfällen med ett års mellanrum (N=361). Resultatet visade att upplevd övervikt, felaktigt upplevd övervikt, kön och kroppsnöjdhet tillsammans förklarade 7 % av variationen i social ångest över tid.

Earlier studies and research on the subject of perception and social media during the working process resulted in a change of the problem. At first the focus of the study was to examine how social media affects the perception of a brand although later on the problem had to be developed to instead examine if social media reflects the perception of a brand. The purpose of this study is to figure out if social media reflects consumer?s perception of a brand. This will contribute to company?s knowledge on how important social media is in their branding and will give pointers on how many resources that is necessary to spend on branding in social media.

Unemployment and long term unemployment is a reality for a large number of people in Sweden. This may be the result of structural changes in the labor market, but involves a wide range of issues. Along with other actors, the social services are obliged to support the long term unemployed to find a job. The aim of this study was to describe and analyze the work done by social workers towards the long term unemployed, 25-49 years old, in two municipalities. We performed altogether six qualitative interviews.

Syftet med detta examensarbete var att undersöka en grupp pedagogers förhållningssätt till och värdering av en undervisning med populärkulturella inslag. Vi ville ta reda på om och i sådana fall hur sådana inslag berikar undervisningen. För att söka svar på detta lät vi genomföra en studie där vi skickade ut enkäter och höll intervjuer med ett antal yrkesverksamma pedagoger. Resultatet av vår undersökning visade på en avvikelse mellan pedagogernas hållning till och praktiska utövning av undervisning med populärkulturella förtecken. Undersökningen åskådliggjorde också lyckade exempel på hur populärkulturen kan inkorporeras i undervisningen och därmed gynna utveckling och arbetsgång för såväl elev som lärare..

The purpose with this essay is to take part of the process when a family is placed on the family-institution, Trollbacken. We want to know what makes the social welfare secretaries place a family in institutional care. Has Trollbacken lived up to the social welfare secretary expectations and are the social welfare secretaries following Trollbackens recommendation regarding the follow up treatment. We also want to know to what value the social welfare secretary assigns Trollbackens investigation and are they able to see changes in the family due to the placing on Trollbacken. The method is qualitative and is based on interviews from six social welfare secretaries that work around and in West Sweden.

The purpose with our essay was to increase our knowledge about what social workers, with experience from working with drug addicts, perceive as the explanations to a person stopping the abuse and succeed in staying drug free. Our framing of the question was:- How do social workers define the term drug free?- How big a roll do the social worker believes she/he has in the process in which a person stops abusing drugs?- How do the social worker work with a person towards getting that person drug free?- What do the social worker believe to be the reason why a person stops abusing drugs?- What do the social worker perceive as helpful for a person to stay drug free?We did qualitative interviews with six social workers. Our main conclusion was that it is difficult to define the term drug free. The reason for stropping the drug abuse can vary, it can be the family situation, "hitting rock bottom", finding love or tiring.
