Webblösning för ett Smart hem-system

This thesis is about making a support for barcode readers and RFID readers on a computermounted in heavy vehicles. The computer has several applications designed for heavyvehicles such as an order handling application. The goal was to suggest an architecture toimplement a support for the readers. The architecture should be independent of whichmanufacturer who has made the reader hardware that was connected to the computer.At first a theoretically study was made around RFID technology and standards for thetransport and supply sector. Then the architecture was developed and a demo implementationwas made.The conclusion of this thesis is to implement support for barcode readers with a wedgeapplication.

The increase in sales of the so called smart phones has meant that there has also been a requirement to determine new applications for which they are suitable. One of the largest platforms for smart phones is Android and the task of this thesis is to develop an application for a company that wishes to create interactive radio for the Internet. In addition to ordinary radio features, the company would like the application to be able to present images and a small web page called Canvas. The overall aim ,of this thesis, is to build a fully functional media player that is compatible with the majority of the commonly used Android based mobile units. To fulfill the overall aim, nine explicit goals were targeted.

One part of the Smart Grid technology is the ability to shift loads in time, to adapt to either price or emissions, known as Demand Response. This project, which was conducted at KTH in collaboration with the consulting corporation Capgemini, examines the economic, environmental and social aspects of the Demand Response technology. In the project, three household products are used in a model that derives the potential savings in costs and emissions of CO2e. The results show that the actual savings measured in SEK are small, but that the savings measured in percent can be as high as 20 percent. Reduction of CO2e emissions is slightly lower.

Hållbar utveckling i hem- och konsumentkunskap: Det var smart att jobba om S.M.A.R.T.-mat

Syftet med den här undersökningen är att studera, beskriva och analysera högstadieelevers förståelse om hållbar utveckling i ämnet hem- och konsumentkunskap. Två forskningsfrågor har formulerats för att besvara syftet. Undersökningen har genomförts med hjälp av både enkäter och intervjuer och för att tolka resultatet har en innehållsanalys gjorts. Där kunde fyra kategorier urskiljas: Mat och miljömärkning, Jämställdhet, Etik, normer och värderingar samt Energi och miljöproblem. Kategorierna är åtskilda men inte så distinkt eftersom de överlappar varandra i vissa avseenden.

This essay is built upon the thoughts of Joseph S. Nye concerning power, and the different ways of exercising that power. The characteristics of Nye's theories are the thoughts about the second face of power, or what he describes as the soft power. Projektadministration som målstyrning : En fallstudie hos Trafikverket

Projektadministration är ett administrativt styrmått som används i projektverksamhet. Detta genom att utfästa en procentuell målsättning på hur stor del av de totala projektkostnaderna som får utgöras av interna administrationskostnader. I detta examensarbete undersöks vad som saknas för att göra projektadministration till ett mer funktionellt styrmått samt under vilka förutsättningar det är lämpligt att använda. Projektadministration analyserades med hjälp av SMART ramverket. Ramverket beskriver fem kriterier som ett välutformat mål skall uppfylla och i detta examensarbete undersöks hur väl projektadministration uppfyller dessa.Examensarbetet har en deduktiv ansats och genomfördes i form av en fallstudie.
