I oktober år 2000 antog FN:s säkerhetsråd resolution 1325 (UNSCR 1325) som behandlar kvinnor, fred och säkerhet. Detta var första gången kvinnors status i säkerhetspolitik behandlades på högsta internationella nivå, och resolutionen är delvis en produkt av lobbyarbete gjort av kvinnors NGO:s. Denna studie ämnar undersöka vilka potential UNSCR 1325 har för uppluckrandet av ojämlika mönster i könspositioner som finns inom fältet för fred och säkerhet. Studien består av en idéanalys och en praktisk analys som görs utifrån tre dimensioner ur feministisk teori. Analysen visar att de idéer resolutionen vilar på inte utmanar de rådande snäva mönster i könspositioner som finns i dagens säkerhetspolitik och har därför heller inte potential att göra det praktiskt.

Abstrakt Sound branding är i dag ett begrepp som är välkänt bland marknadsförare. Fördelarna med en unik och genomarbetad ljudidentitet har dock inte nått fram till många svenska företag och varumärken. Vi ämnar med detta kandidatarbete att utforska ljudets funktion för varumärkesbyggande samt skapa förståelse för vilka faktorer som är avgörande gällande ljuddesignen i reklamsammanhang. Genom tidigare forskning samt produktion av sonic logos och musik, åt olika beställare, har vi försökt besvara frågeställningen: Hur ger man verksamheter och varumärken en ljudidentitet? Abstract Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka och beskriva tre förskolepedagogers arbetssätt och metoder för att utveckla språket hos tvåspråkiga barn. Jag vill presentera olika sätt att arbeta med tvåspråkiga barn i en mångkulturell förskola med hjälp av kvalitativa intervjuer som jag har haft med tre förskolepedagoger. Jag vill få kännedom om sättet pedagogerna arbetar med tvåspråkiga barn och hur verksamheten präglas av pedagogernas arbetssätt i förskolan. Mina frågeställningar är hur det vardagliga arbetssättet och pedagogernas syn på språkutveckling inverkar på barnen och deras lärande? Vilka är pedagogers arbetssätt med tvåspråkiga barn för att utveckla språket? Hur integreras leken i deras arbetssätt? Vilka tankar har pedagogerna om språk och identitet? Undersökningen genomförde jag genom att använda mig av kvalitativa intervjuer där intervjun av pedagogerna hölls i form av samtal.

En jämförelse mellan magasinen PAPPA Magazine och mama Författare: Lindah Berntsson och Therese Murhagen Termin och år: VT 2013 Handledare: Mathias Sylwan Examinator: Anna Edin Nyckelord: Diskursanalys, föräldraskap, framställning, föräldraroll, pappa, mamma. Vårt syfte med denna uppsats var att undersöka hur föräldraskapet framställdes genom magasinen PAPPA Magazine och mama. Genom att använda oss av diskursanalys som tillvägagångsätt och teori ville vi få fram på vilket sätt de båda magasinen framställer föräldraskapet. Vi ville även veta vad som, enligt magasinen, är ett gott moder -fader- och föräldraskap. Empirin består av tio nummer, fem vardera av de två magasinen.Det som framkommit efter analysen var att magasinen har likheter men skiljer sig åt på många håll.

Sammanfattning Syfte:Syftet med vår undersökning var att skapa förståelse för hur företag arbetar med etiska och moraliska frågor i samband med ekonomistyrning. Metod:Vår undersökning har gjorts i tre svenska företag genom personliga intervjuer med personer i chefs- eller ledarposition på varje företag. Den insamlade empirin har sedan sammanställts och analyserats genom att jämföra den med vårt teoriavsnitt. Slutsats:Vi har kommit fram till fyra punkter som enligt vår undersökning är centrala för arbetet med etiska och moraliska frågor i de företag vi undersökt. Dessa är värderingar, förståelse, ledarskap och företaget.

Method: The thesis is based on literary studies. By combining theories and empirics regarding the health care market, competition and profit, a deeper understanding of the aspects important for the chosen subject, is created. Combined with official reports and the new legislation, an analysis is formed.

This essay is a survey of thirteen user studies performed in the field of image retrieval. The purpose is to try to distinguish principles that should be kept in mind when wanting to make image databases available for a wide and varied group of users. The essay tries to answer two questions, namely: Are there any results in accordance among the different studies? What in the user studies should be considered when it comes to how content description, interface and functions for searching can be designed when creating systems for image retrieval? Each study is first reviewed on its own, and then a comparative analysis of all the studies is carried out. Derived from the result of this analysis, the conclusion is presented in the form of a row of suggestions to which aspects are to be suitably included in the design of image databases.

Abstract Syftet med denna studie var att genom en kvalitativ intervjumetod belysa hur pedagoger på tre förskolor varav två språkförskolor och en språkavdelning använder TAKK (Tecken som Alternativ Kompletterande Kommunikation). På båda förskolorna används TAKK som hjälpmetod för att stödja barn som har en språkstörning. Hur ser pedagogerna på användningen av TAKK i sitt arbete med språkstörda barn? Mina frågeställningar är: Vilka barn menar pedagogerna att TAKK kan användas med? Hur använder pedagogerna TAKK, och när? Hur upplever pedagogerna att TAKK stöttar barnen i sin utveckling? Jag använder mig av ett kognitivt perspektiv för att kunna tolka och analysera mitt material. Resultatet visar att de intervjuade pedagogerna anser att TAKK gynnar kommunikationen mellan pedagoger och barn men även barnen emellan.

In this thesis, the TEI (Text Encoding Initiative) encoding scheme is investigated as a system for storing metadata about manuscript material and 18th century first prints in the Swedenborg Archives at the Swedish Royal Academy of Sciences. The aim of the study is to test the functionality of TEI as a metadata system in cataloguing a special collection. Some criteria of functionality are formulated, and examples of encoded catalogue entries are described and analysed. It is demonstrated how descriptive metadata have been registered within the TEI header, while structural metadata have been recorded within the text element of the TEI file. On the whole, TEI is considered to be a functional tool that matches the present purposes.

Sammanfattning - AbstractVårt arbete baseras på en enkätundersökning samt tillhörande intervjuer vilka behandlade barns kunskaper och värderingar kring vatten och vattenanvändning. Vi undersökte om det gick att se en genusmässig skillnad då det under vår utbildning ofta lyfts fram att undervisningen åsidosätter flickors behov i utbildningssammanhang. Detta såg vi som motsägelsefullt då bland annat PISAs undersökningar visar att flickor idag presterar bättre i skolan än vad pojkarna gör. Denna undersökning genomfördes även på grund av att vi ser hållbar utveckling som en viktig del i skolans verksamhet. Vatten är en viktig del inom hållbar utveckling och därför valde vi att undersöka hur elever förhåller sig till detta.

AbstractThis examination project studies two groups of students, who are in the last year of the mandatory school attendance in Sweden (15 years old and in school year nine), their views and thoughts about the Swedish school. The purpose of this study is to examine how the students in the study thinks about the role that the Swedish school have, and should have in the society, and how, and if the fostering mission that the Swedish school have, has any implication on the student?s opinions. I have also studied if the student?s trusts the Swedish school.I have made my study on interviews with two groups of students, one with four boys and one with four girls.

AbstractThe purpose with the study is to contribute knowledge of teacher?s thoughts of, and actions in potentially stress filled situations at preschool. The methods I?ve been using are qualitative interviews and unstructured observations of hallway situation at dressing and the transit between lunch and rest.At the interviews with the teachers it showed that none of them feels stressed but there are stress filled situations. The lunch and transit between lunch and rest is a stressful situation, where there is a lot to do, like the dishes, the teachers break and the lie-down.

Abstract The aim of this paper is to investigate whether Vara municipality has a continuous picture of their identity, profile and image. Globalization has contributed to the increasingly growing of place marketing. Therefore, the study goes on to using the concepts of identity, profile and image to find out if Vara Municipality communicates similar throughout the whole organization and find out their all through core values. Globalisation will be an interpretive framework for the work that describes why the place marketing is becoming more pressing. The sense of place will be a central part of this study as it is the feelings and images of different places that will be described by the municipality together with the identity, profile and image.

Abstract (in English) The report clarifies how the economy of Värnamo and Tingsryd area experiencing and implementing APL, it also reveals their need for jacking from the school to improve students achievement.By highlighting some of the requirements, expectations, obligations and rights as schools, businesses and students have between each other can enhance our understanding of each other's activities. With increased understanding of each other's needs, function and values can be a more seamless cooperation take place which can increase the efficiency, usefulness and effectiveness of APL and apprenticeship.The investigation of the report includes a survey of 25 questions that companies involved in APL answers and interviews by two well-designate individuals in the subject, Jonas Olofsson, who among other things, wrote the book "Krisen i skolan" and Annika Jervgren is research assistant in the National Apprentice Committee.The supervisor's actions during the APL are addressed and they are critical to student achievement and how the profession is perceived. It is also evident that there is a desire for increased communication between schools and businesses and that practice is governed by established documented procedures to make the workplace time will be as constructive as possible for the students..
