I Sverige dör ca 90 000 personer om året, ca 20 % av dessa dör i det egna hemmet. Vård i livets slutskede, så kallad palliativ vård, sker idag inte enbart på sjukhus. Verksamheten har även flyttat ut i de sjukas hem och gjort hemsjukvården mer avancerad. När vården sker i hemmet får den närstående en mer central roll i vårdandet vilket även är en nödvändighet för att vården ska kunna ske i hemmet. Som sjuksköterska kan det var lätt att ta den närstående för givet i vårdprocessen och den närstående kan bli informell vårdgivare ofrivilligt.

Purpose: To explore how the changes in work life, here represented and depicted through the concepts of knowledge work and knowledge worker, have been incorporated in the official psychosocial work environment discourse in Sweden. Methodology: Critical discourse analysis, contrasting the official psychosocial work environment discourse to literature on knowledge work and knowledge worker, to explore how employees, employers and their relations are constructed within these two discourses; focusing identity, autonomy and power. Using the constructions to make visible how they are articulated, used and dealt with in a real life case from the Work Environment Authority. Theoretical perspectives: Our social world is socially constructed and language is the main tool for constructing it. Discourse analysis is thus not just a tool for deconstructing texts but also for enhanced understanding of our construction of the world and our ability to communicate about it.

German-Jewish Nobel Prize laureate Nelly Sachs is remembered for her poetry written while in exile in Sweden. In this essay I have tried to examine how the exile situation shaped her poetry and what different kinds of stages the poetry went through. Scientists argue that gender affects foreign policy and security policy, that ideas of gender are inconstant and that there is a lack of feminist perspectives in International Relations. The changes seen in the global security context may have challenged the way politicians and scientists understand war and its impacts, and led to increased gender awareness.Using securitization theory and feminist international relations theory, the aim is to examine how women and men are being spoken of in the Swedish foreign policy discourse regarding participation in the UN-led stabilization mission Minusma in Mali. By applying a feminist perspective on the securitization process, the intention is to increase the knowledge of whether there is gender awareness in this context.The result shows that there is limited gender awareness. There is minor consideration for the conflict?s different implications on the situation for women and men.

Det är en kvalitativ studie om unga utländska kvinnor i åldern mellan 19 och 25 år som har fått avvisningsbeslut och lever gömda i Sverige idag.Syftet med studien är att få större kunskap om och hur det är att tvingas leva ett liv under jorden för en ung kvinna och vilka konsekvenser det medför. Det finns ett fåtal tidigare studier om gömda människors upplevelser av sin tillvaro, samt hur de hanterar detta. Syftet är att belysa hur unga gömda kvinnornas livssituation påverkas utifrån de villkor de tvingas leva under. Detta har jag gjort genom att besvara följande frågeställningar:- Hur upplever de unga gömda kvinnor som lever under jorden sin livssituation? - Vilka strategier utvecklar de för att kunna hantera situationen som gömd?- Hur påverkas de unga gömda kvinnor av de villkor de tvingas att leva under?- Vilka konsekvenser medför deras liv som gömd för deras identitetsupplevelse?Insamlande av data har skett genom fyra semistrukturerade livsvärldsintervjuer med fyra unga gömda kvinnor .

Denna uppsats övergripande syfte har varit att undersöka hur deltagarna i ett projekt riktat mot anhörigvårdare till närstående med annat modersmål än svenska upplever och beskriver sin situation och hur projektet lyckats med att anpassa sig till målgruppens behov. För att besvara studiens syfte har vi genom kvalitativ metod genomfört en fokusgrupp och tre djupintervjuer. Vi har genom dessa försökt svara på hur deltagarna i projektet upplever sin livssituation och hur de påverkas av att vårda en närstående, hur projektet lyckats med att lyfta fram vårdgivarens behov samt om de planerade åtgärderna i projektet uppnått sitt mål genom att anpassa sig till målgruppens behov. Vårt resultat visar på hur anhörigas livssituation är påfrestande och tung. Omsorgsgivarna efterfrågar mer insatser från kommunen och de anser att de alternativ som finns inte är tillräcklig bra utformade för att möta de äldres behov för att utgöra ett alternativ till omsorgen.

Inledning:På Barnhjärtcentrum i Göteborg vårdas barn och ungdomar med medfött hjärtfel i sambandmed hjärtkirurgi. Operationen Total cavopulmonary connection (TCPC) som genomförs i 3-4-årsåldern och ofta kräver flera veckors sjukhusvård innebär många för barnet iblandobehagliga procedurer. Vissa familjer klarar av att hantera de flesta situationer i dennasjukhusvistelse utan problem medan andra uppvisar tecken till stress i de situationer därbarnet inte klarar av att hantera upplevelsen själv. Som teoretisk referensram användsAntonovskys Känsla av sammanhang och Orems egenvårdsteori.Syfte:Syftet med denna studie var att belysa vilket stöd föräldrar kan vara för sitt barn under denspecifika sjukhusvistelsen i samband med TCPC-operationen.Metod:Kvalitativ induktiv metod har använts. För att pröva metoden genomfördes en pilotstudie.Urvalet bestod av föräldrar vars barn genomgått en TCPC-operation på Barnhjärtcentrum desenaste två åren.

The aim of the study is to explore the meaning of living with urinary incontinence caused by Spina Bifida, self-esteem, psychological well-beeing and expectations on treatment of urinary incontinence in 10 children and adolescents, 9-20 years old, as well as their parents perspective. The study was conducted through semi-structured interviewes as well as self-reports about self-esteem ("I think I am"; Ouvinen-Birgerstam, 1999) and psychological well-beeing (Beck Ungdomsskalor; Beck, Beck & Jolly, 2004). To examine the parents insight in their childrens situation and well-beeing parents proxy-reports was compared to their childrens self-reports. The results showed that psychological well-beeing and self-esteem of the children and adolescents in this study was comparable to normgroups, but that there was big individual differences. The parents proxy-reports are comparable to their childrens self-reports, but vary depending on the domain beeing estimated.

The purpose of this thesis was to describe the economic situation for popular culture venues. During the study, four different ways of financing were encountered. These are sponsorship, volunteers, government funding and ticket sales. A case study, based on interviews, were conducted on Pinkerton, a non-profit organisation. The result showed that Pinkerton needs a solid subsidy from government funding.

The main objective of this research was to study how increased arterial oxygenation by the use of Pulsed Inhaled Nitric-Oxide (PiNO) influenced the metabolic and cardiovascular parameters on horses undergoing acute abdominal surgery because of colic. The parameters blood lactate, blood glucose, pH and heart rate were evaluated before and during anesthesia and closely after recovery. The study showed that blood lactate concentrations decreased significantly during anaesthesia in horses treated with PiNO compared to non-treated horses. It was also seen that the lactate concentration decreased most in horses with the highest levels before PiNO treatment. Since enhanced oxygen extraction ratio was evident in the PiNO group, improved oxygen delivery to the tissue may be a possible explanation for the improved situation.

Likaså finns empirisk forskning om hur en nätverksorganisation kan byggas upp. Däremot finns ingen forskning som, med detta som stöd, skildrar hur en organisation kan bygga upp ett nätverk i ett annat land. Uppsatsens problemformulering lyder som följande? Hur kan en organisation uppbyggd i ett annat land, organisera nätverk för sina stakeholders?Identifiera faktorer som påverkar dels medlemmarnas uppfattningar om organisationens betydelse, dels möjligheten att organisera nätverk i ett annat land.Denna studie behandlar två olika parter vilkas insamlingsmetoder skiljer sig åt.

The aim of our study was to examine how the elderly experience their meal situation in a sheltered housing. We have used a qualitative approach. We conducted individual interviews with six elderly in a sheltered housing to collect our empirical material. To reach the purpose of this study we tried to answer the questions: which factors affect the elderly person?s experience of the meal and which significance does the meal have for the elderly? To reach deeper understanding for our collected material we used Maslow?s theory of human motivation, the two concepts of Tönnies; gemeinschaft and gesellschaft, disengagement theory and the concept of Bourdieu, called habitus.
