This study explores women?s experiences of the impact of remote work on work-life balance, and the potential consequences of telecommuting from a gender equality perspective. This investigation is contextualized by societal shifts post-pandemic, during which remote work has become increasingly prevalent. This transition raises new questions about the impact of home-based work on individuals? work-life balance, particularly for women who, according to prior studies, carry a greater responsibility for household tasks.

SammanfattningDagens robotgräsklippare från Husqvarna har en lyftsensor vilken bygger på attkarossen kan röra sig vertikalt i förhållande till chassiet. Detta leder dock till attlösningen i kombination med krocksensorerna gör att karossen förmedlar en icke solidkänsla när potentiella kunder prövar produkten. Husqvarna hoppas att man får flerkunder om det är möjligt att ge produkten en solidare känsla. Ett steg mot detta mål äratt utveckla en ny, icke mekanisk lyftsensor.Ett antal koncept för att lösa problemet har utvecklats och utifrån dessa har ett antallösningar utvecklats. De lösningar vilka har visat sig problematiska jämfört medkravspecifikationen har förkastats och intressanta lösningar undersökts I detalj.Ett koncept har utvecklats till prototyp och det är en lösning med Force sensingresistors? vilka används för att mäta trycket från de fyra infästningspunkter vilka finnsmellan kaross och chassi.

Det problem som denna uppsats hade för avsikt att besvara var varför hemautomation inte används i fler hem. Genom resultaten från en enkät som distribuerades kunde slutsatsen att kostnaden för de befintliga lösningar som finns på marknaden idag inte låg i den prisklass våra respondenter ansåg rimlig. Författarna utvecklade då problemet och ställde sig frågan om en hemautomationslösning verkligen måste ha en så hög kostnad som de befintliga lösningarna har idag. För att belysa detta problem implementerades en egen kostnadseffektiv lösning där respondenternas mest önskvärda funktioner togs i beaktande och en testmiljö implementerades utefter dessa. Resultatet blev en hemautomationslösning med stor potential och med en betydligt lägre kostnad än dagens befintliga lösningar..

 Syftet med denna undersökning är att ta reda på vilken mjukvarubaserad fjärranslutningslösning som passar för ett mindre företag, då de har mindre ekonomiska tillgångar än ett större företag behöver de vara mer noggranna med sina produktval. Arbetet är utfört med litteraturstudier och en enkätundersökning till ett tiotal mindre företag, samt en laborationsmiljö där tester av de olika fjärranslutningslösningarnas egenskaper har utförts.Område valdes då ämnet fjärranslutning knappt behandlads under utbildningstiden, och fördjupar sig därför inom området.Resultatet visar vad mindre företag anser vara de viktigaste egenskaperna med en fjärranslutningslösning. Även de värden som uppkom vid tester i laborationsmiljön kommer att presenteras i resultatet. De samlade resultaten kommer sedan visa på vilken mjukvarubaserad lösning som passar bäst för ett mindre företag. .

Södra Skog chose in 2011 to convert the saw mill in Traryd to a gradually refined sawmill of hardwood. In 2009, they had also acquired the hardwood sawmill in Djursdala. This was strategically important for Södra's business since the demand for hardwood products has increased. The standing volume of deciduous trees in Sweden is today approximately 524 million m3sk and it has increased rapidly in recent years. However, the deciduous forests are to a large extent located in areas that are set aside for nature conservation and is thus not available to the industry.The goal of this work is to create a simple and reliable method for mapping of deciduous wood volumes in areas where Södra Skog is operating (Götaland excluding Gotland).The material that is used is raster databases with estimated forest attributes (kNN-Sweden), data from National Forest Inventory (NFI) and forest management plans.

Detta är ett uppsats på D-nivå. I en tidigare kurs, inom vårat program Data- och Systemvetenskap, kom vi på en idé om hur man kan förbättra/komplettera utbildningen av nyanställda som befinner sig i en stressig arbetsplats på företag där det är ett ständigt behov av återanställning av personal. Vi utvecklade detta koncept och kom med idén till en simulator som kan utbilda personal samt minska stress hos nyanställda. Idén mognade till en Serious Game simulator baserad på en Wii-kontrollerad PC-baserad simulator med Bluetooth-stöd.Syftet med denna uppsats är att skapa en guide om grunderna i en simulator som utnyttjar Wii-kontroller som externa inmatningsenheter. I denna guide kommer vi att täcka hur Nintendos Wii-kontroll fungerar, hur man kan skapa enkla 3D-modeller i Blender och även hur detta kan implementeras i Microsoft XNA.

The aim of the paper is to contribute to the knowledge of the urbanization process in Sweden in general and of its traces along the Ume river in the county of Västerbotten in particular. The paper applies the theory of concentrated urbanization and extended urbanization put forward by Neil Brenner and Christian Schmid (2015) and argues that the building of power producing dams along the Ume-river is part of an extended urbanization process. This becomes particularly evident when examining the vast physical structures that is the dams, situated in an otherwise remote and sparsely populated area. These vast physical structures are also very well connected to a nation wide electric grid that has connections to bordering countries as well.

What is e-leadership and how can it be framed in a distance context? How can work motivation be understood as a correlated theme? In prior leadership research and theory it has been taken for granted that leadership occurs in a face-to-face environment, so how to study leadership in a remote context? According to recent research, e-leadership defines this leader-member relation in this new arena, and a central focus of this research has been on communication. Communication is a central theme in the remote setting because it is the only interaction arena which allows leadership to be seen and understood. By conducting a case study in a multi media organization with distance working journalists as focus group this essay aims to bring a deeper understanding of how e-leadership works and how it effects work motivation. The field of media organizations is interesting to study as distance work is not an unusual working environment for journalists, and research has indicated that work motivation needs for these highly specified creative workers are somewhat differentiated from other, for example industrial workers, which implies that motivation theories urges an update.

This report is the result of a master thesis at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Division of Industrial and Economical Development, at Linköping University of Technology. The project was carried out on behalf of Fanerami AB, Mjölby and includes 20 weeks of full time schedule work.Cabinets with vertical mounted roller shutters all share the same problem, namely weight balancing. A roller shutter has an equilibrium area where the sum of the different forces acting on the shutter equals zero. As the shutter leaves that area it will pick up speed as it falls towards the bottom. When the shutter hits the bottom of the cabinet there is a potential risk of getting fingers caught and in this project a solution to prevent this from happening was to be presented.In this project, three concepts have been generated with the following different purposes:?In concept 1 the risk of getting any fingers caught when the shutter closes was to be eliminated in an efficient and inexpensive way.?In concept 2 the roller shutter had to be balanced at all time providing the possibility to keep the cabinet open in any position.?The last and most challenging task was to create a remote controlled TV cabinet.

This master?s thesis is a Remote sensing study of an area-based method used to detect forest in need of thinning by use of laser data and field samples. Only pine-dominated forest has been included in the study and height limits were set to match empirical restrictions. The study area was in the municipality of Älvsbyn (Latitude 65° 40´ N, Longitude 21° 00´ E), in northern Sweden.The Swedish authority Lantmäteriet is currently laser scanning most parts of Sweden, providing new opportunities and applications. The primary aim of the national laser scanning is to create a new elevation model, useful in consequence analysis of climate changes.

In forestry there are always needs of forest data to make good strategic decisions of different actions and economic winning. Usually this data gets from field-estimations made by forest workers with expensive costs and sometimes unsatisfied quality. StoraEnso Skog is a great forest company in Sweden and they have part of the responsibility of the forest own by Bergvik Skog. Bergvik Skog is owner of 1, 9 million hectares productive forest land. Both Bergvik and StoraEnso have great interest in new inventory techniques to get the important forest data. The company Foran Remote sensing offers the opportunity with airborne laserscanning of forest and forest land. Foran got the mission of Bergvik and StoraEnso to laser scan Bergviks possession in Älvdalen, Dalarna.
