Den här uppsatsen skildrar utvecklingen av flickors skolsituation vid högre allmänna läroverkets gymnasium i Västerås mellan åren 1927 och 1937. Uppsatsen redogör för både lärarkollegiets och de manliga elevers attityder gentemot de kvinnliga eleverna. I uppsatsen undersöks även vilken ring flickorna valde, latin- eller realringen samt om lärarnas attityder på något sätt kom att påverka flickornas betyg. Undersökningen visar att lärarkollegiet varoenigt i frågan rörande flickors rätt till högre utbildning. Det främsta argumentet mot att tillåta flickorna att läsa vid gymnasiet var den hävdade lokalbristen, något som Kungl.

In this thesis we have tried to show the problems that the categorisation of ?norrlänningar? generates. We have also tried to describe what the stereotypes of ?norrlänningar? are by examining what people say on web logs. The method we have used to find the stereotypes in our empirical material is the discourse analyse.

I föreliggande studie undersöktes kommunikativa resurser i samtal mellan tre personer med afasi och deras respektive logoped/anhörig. Syftet var att identifiera och analysera resurser som samtalsdeltagarna gemensamt använde för att uppnå intersubjektivitet. Most people with pancreatic cancer are diagnosed in a late stage of the disease.

In this report you can read about a service company that wants to introduce a new decision tool for their customers. The first question that will be answered in this report is, what information is needed for market controllers. The second question investigates how a decision tool that gives the answers to the first question would work. Theories in business and economics written by Jan Lindvall (2001) and sociotechnical work analysis written by Kim Vicente (1999) are used in this report. To find the answers to question number one, interviews with two market controllers were done.

Barns Behov I Centrum (BBIC) är ett utredningsverktyg inom social- tjänsten som har haft stor framfart i Sverige de senaste åren. Det finns tre viktiga områden som verkar inom BBIC vilka är "barnets behov", "föräld- rarnas förmåga" samt "familj och miljö". Syftet med detta arbete var att undersöka hur fem socialsekreterare upplevde att dessa områden blev tillgodosedda, hur BBIC fungerat som arbetsmetod samt att undersöka vilka dessa socialsekreterare anser haft mest nytta av BBIC. En kvalitativ forskningsmetod med en fenomenologisk ansats har använts för att komma fram till resultatet. För att ta reda på vad dessa socialsekreterare ansåg genomfördes intervjuer och resultatet av studien visade att det fanns många likheter mellan de intervjuade socialsekreterarnas åsikter och att många av deras uppfattningar var i linje med den tidigare forsk- ningen.

Alcohol consumption and student life have been connected through many years. Many people establish their drinking habits during their years as a student and drinking habits among students are therefore an extremely important topic. The aim of this study was to examine the drinking habits of students at Växjö University. The study included 98 respondents who answered a survey concerning sex, age, living status, social relations, social desirability and drinking habits. The result indicated that male students consumed more alcohol than female students.

The purpose of this study is to get increased knowledge of young people and their experience and thoughts about existential questions, and if the adults in Junior highschool take them into consideration. Our purpose to look at the result in a gender perspective was also a part of this work. Our starting point is the theory of youth, their existential questions and the importance of their identity-work in the late modern society. We interviewed six youth at the age of 15-16. We used hermeneutic theory to analyse the text.

This is a study about residential segregation in Malmö. The aim is to highlight the segregation that is taking place in the city as a whole. I therefore focus on two residential areas in Malmö which are not often mentioned when speaking about segregation; Västra Innerstaden and Limhamn-Bunkeflo. I present different theories on housing segregation and discuss them in relation to these specific residential areas. I investigate how the socio-economic and ethnic characteristics of the inhabitants in these residential areas are connected to Malmö being a segregated city.
