This thesis examines how role-playing games can be used as an educational tool in after-school programs and identifies the challenges and opportunities perceived by both students and teachers. The study is based on qualitative methods, with interviews with after-school teachers and children in after-school programs with their observations of role-playing activities in a municipality. The results show that role-playing games promote social development, creative thinking, problem-solving, and language development. Students reported increased motivation and engagement, while teachers observed improved relationships and an inclusive environment where students could explore different roles and perspectives. The research links these findings to previous studies that highlight the potential of role-playing games to develop empathy, collaboration skills, and critical thinking (Daniau, 2016; Trespalacios et al., 2011; Suryani et al., 2020). Furthermore, our findings support the curriculum goals of student influence and situational learning, emphasizing the importance of students' own initiatives and responsibility in educational activities (Lgr22, 2022). The study also identifies challenges, such as teachers' uncertainty about introducing and leading role-playing games due to a lack of expertise.

In the Swedish school library discussion, the most prominent role of the school library haslong been that of cultural centre in the school, with the main goal being to encourage children'sreading. During the 90ies there were signs of a shift in focus to the role of information centre,giving active support across the whole range of the curriculum, in the independent researchingwork of the students. At the same time severe budget cuts caused great worries for the future.The interest for the school library media centres increased during this time, many differentorganizations said they wanted to fight for better school libraries. The purpose of the presentwork was to find out who they are, what they want and what their ideal school library lookslike. Fourteen organizations were studied, focus was on activities during 1995.

This thesis uses the ?What's the problem?-approach developed by Carol LeeBacchi. This approach studies how the problem that a certain policy is supposedto take care of is represented. Each representation will rest upon certainassumptions and will accordingly support certain solutions while other solutionswill be considered less suitable to the problem as it is represented.The thesis therefore evaluates the competing problem representations forgender mainstreaming in Sweden. The theory chapter explores two developmentpossibilities for gender mainstreaming, based on diversity and deliberativedemocracy.

Effektiva copingstrategier kan öka arbetstillfredsställelse, minska spänningar, sänka personalomsättning och frånvaro samt leda till andra positiva utfall för både individer och arbetsgivare (Parks, 1990). Syftet med denna uppsats var att få en djupare förståelse av hur småföretagare upplever problem med anställda samt att undersöka vilka copingstrategier som används för att hantera olika typer av problem. Frågeställningarna var, vilka problem hanteras med emotionsfokuserade copingstrategier? och vilka problem hanteras med problemfokuserade copingstrategier? Respondenterna i undersökningen var nio småföretagare samtliga var män i åldrarna 39-71 år. Totalt identifierades 27 problem som delades in i sex olika kategorier.

Syftet med vårt arbete har varit, att utröna vilka problem som kan uppstå för slutanvändare av datalager. Vi har även frågat oss vad dessa problem kan bero på. För att uppnå detta, har vi först gjort en litteraturstudie och sedan genomfört intervjuer med slutanvändare och IT-tekniker på fyra olika företag runtom i Sverige. Undersökningen har visat, att det finns en hel del problem förknippade med användning av datalager och att man också kan se några framträdande sådana, såsom exempelvis långa svarstider vid sökningar. De problem som visat sig är dock av sådan karaktär, att de vida övervägs av de fördelar ett datalager ger åt företag.

Almost every company sooner or later ends up in a more or less difficult economical situation. The reason for the economical crisis varies for each individual case but common for them all is that it is the management group that has failed in their work to guide the organisation to avoid a negative result. The next common denominator is that it is the management group that has to handle the changes in the company's environment and lead the company out of the crisis. But how can they do this and take decisions in a rational and effective way and is there warnings signals that the management group missed before the crisis was a fact? This is some of the questions that this study is going to discuss and analyze. This diploma work has been conducted for the consulting company Ramböll inUppsala, Sweden with the purpose to perform a study with the calculation programFEM Design 9.0 made by Strusoft. The aim has been to find out if it is possible to gainadvantage by utilizing more advanced 3D software for design calculations, instead ofthe traditional methods currently used in construction works.The method of approach has been to model an existing warehouse building with theprogram FEM Design, and then compare the results with those attained with FrameAnalysis and hand calculations. These results are then analyzed. An evaluation is maderegarding to what benefits can be achieved using a more advanced 3D-model.The results of the study show that the differences between the methods are not ofany significance with regard to the design of the steel frame. However in morecomplex materials such as reinforced concrete, the differences become more notable.The conclusions drawn by the authors of this study into FEM Design are that theeducation requirements of the program are higher than for simpler programs, whosepurpose are solving predetermined problems.

In this thesis we investigate the level of deliberative democracy in the current implementation of the 24/7 Agency in the local government. We are interested in how the combination of the two seemingly opposing ideals of Demokratiutredningen and the 24/7 Agency is solved. Our analysis is based on interviews with civil servants from three kommuner in Skåne and a schematic overview of their websites. As a theoretical framework we use New Public Management Theory, Deliberative Democracy Theory, and Citizen Theory.We have found that the local 24/7 Agency is initiated and implemented by public servants. Their experiences and worldview is mirrored in both process and result.

Syftet med vår studie är att undersöka huruvida det går att urskilja några generella villkor för konstruktiv konflikthantering. Utrymme ges också åt frågan om vilka återkommande mönster som kan finnas gällande psykologiska och relationella brister som försvårar konstruktiv konflikthantering och/eller stärker konfliktsituationer. Även frågan om lärande genom konflikterfarenheter berörs. Studien baserar sig på åtta stycken kvalitativa intervjuer med ett antal konsulter, en chef och några medarbetare. Studien har en hermeneutisk och induktiv ansats.

The building industry are currently going through a huge alteration. The introduction of BIM (Building Information Modeling). Which also implements a lot of new ways of solving problems that building modeling can cause. This report is written for Uppsala University in cooperation with Temagruppen in Uppsala. However, it contains a comparison between two different systems that checks building models.
