Syftet med denna systematiska litteraturstudie var att beskriva de psykosociala och existentiella behov som kan uppstå hos kvinnor med bröstcancer samt i hur stor utsträckning bröstcancerpatienter upplever att dessa behov tillgodoses i vården. Dessutom var syftet att få en uppfattning om betydelsen av komplementär och alternativ medicin för bröstcancerdrabbade kvinnor. De vetenskapliga artiklar (n=25) som ingick i studien söktes datoriserat samt manuellt och en kvalitetsgranskning gjordes av litteraturen utifrån olika bedömningsformulär. Resultaten visar att de behov som uppstod hos kvinnorna med bröstcancer var behov av stöd, behov av information samt behov av kontinuitet i sjukvården. Majoriteten av kvinnorna upplevde att det psykosociala och existentiella stödet i sjukvården samt den information de fick hade stora brister.

This master of science thesis is focusing on how the fault handling on hardware connected toa control unit on a Scania vehicle is working. To the hardware counts buttons levers, sensorsand CAN. The work has been concentrated upon how the fault handling is working and if it ispossible to find any new fault modes.The control unit that has been studied is called the Coordinator and is the core in Scanias threenetworks of control units. The Coordinators work is to transmit messages between the threenetworks and to process signals from buttons, levers and sensors. The values is then usedinternally or is sent to other control units on the CAN networks.

The aim of this study was to examine how heads of unit in charge of personal assistance (PA)for the disabled experience and handle ethical dilemmas and situations within theirworkgroups when The Work Environment Act and The Swedish Act Concerning Support andService for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments collide with each other. The methodof the study was to use semi-structured interviews based around three main topics; the head ofunits opinions about the value and purpose of The Work Environment Act in theadministering and implementation of personal assistance services, the problem solvingprocess and the head of units own individual experiences of ethical dilemmas or workenvironment-related conflicts or situations within their workgroups. Four heads of unit wereinterviewed for this study. The results of this study showed that the interviewed heads of unitexperienced a lack of clear and factual information about how they were meant to solvedilemmas emerging from the two laws conflicting with each other regarding the rights of thecare recipient to layout their personal assistance to their liking, versus the rights of thepersonal assistant to have acceptable working conditions. The heads of unit could not rely onlegislation and/or other specific directive documents when work environment-relatedproblems arose.

Bakgrund: Postoperativ smärta är vanligt förekommande efter en genomgången operation. Den postoperativa smärtan kan leda till onödigt lidande för patienten. Vid en operation utsätts patienten för en större eller mindre ?skada?, där hud, muskler, leder och nerver skadas. Under den postoperativa fasen observeras patienten på olika smärttecken.

Syftet med denna systematiska litteraturstudie var att ta reda på vilka faktorer som påverkar uppkomsten av postoperativ urinretention, POUR, i tidigt postoperativt skede. Artikelsökning har skett i databaserna CINAHL, MEDLINE och PsycINFO. Artiklarna kvalitetsbedömdes utifrån en modifierad granskningsmall för artikelgranskning. Sexton artiklar inkluderades i studien. Resultatet visade att med stigande ålder ökade risken för POUR, speciellt för män.

The leadership within healthcare is a constantly discussed subject. The discussion today is evolving around the physicians' lack of strive towards becoming managers within healthcare organizations. Furthermore the leadership that the nurse practice when becoming manager is on the other hand not discussed. The purpose of this study is to describe important factors of the leadership the nurse practice upon physicians in a healthcare organization as well as to explain why that is. To fulfill this purpose, we have used a qualitative case study research design including a private Swedish healthcare company.

Abstract The purpose of this project is to develop a modular processor card which is intended to work as a platform for Kitron Development Karlskoga. The modular processor card is meant to be used as a control system in development projects, mainly in medical and industrial products. The processor card will consist of a central unit with the basic functions for a control system. Furthermore there will be complete modules with machine commodity and programming, to pick exactly the necessary functions for a specific application. With consideration to the specification of the development and the main unit, I chose an adequate microprocessor (AT90CAN32) as core and interface circuits to stated border areas. The construction is first completed in the program MultiSim and then remade in the program OrCAD Capture. The programming language C was used in the software model.

Inledning: Postoperativ smärta hos barn är fortfarande ett problem trots förbättrade arbetsrutiner och smärtbehandling. Smärtskattning på barn och speciellt barn med kognitiva nedsättningar kräver att sjuksköterskorna har kunskap om tillgängliga smärtskattningsinstrument. På så vis ges alla barn möjlighet att smärtskattas.Syfte: Att undersöka hur ofta sjuksköterskor smärtskattar barn som opereras för skolios postoperativt.Design: En retrospektiv studie.Metod: Journalgranskningen genomfördes på Universitetssjukhuset i Linköping. Alla barn som under 2008-2009 opererats för Idiopatisk eller Neuromuskulär skolios, var mellan 0-18 år och fanns med i journaldatasystemet inkluderades i studien.Resultat: Barn med Idiopatisk skolios smärtskattades oftare än barn med Neuromuskulär skolios. Barn som inte förstod instruktion smärtskattades inte lika ofta som de barn som förstod instruktion.

Syfte. Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka patienters upplevelse av smärtbehandlingens kvalitet samt hur sjuksköterskor följer riktlinjerna för smärtbehandling.Metod. Studien utformades som en deskriptiv tvärsnittsstudie. Patienter som genomgått kirurgi tilldelades en enkät angående sina upplevelser av smärtbehandlingens kvalitet samt att en journalgranskning genomfördes.Resultat. Sammanlagt deltog 58 patienter.

Otillräcklig smärtlindring och läkemedelsbiverkningar är ett stort problem i den postoperativa vården. Smärtan i sig kan också leda till olika postoperativa komplikationer. Komplementära metoder är idag efterfrågade och börjar också integreras i vården. Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att undersöka om sjuksköterskan kan använda sig utav akupunktur, aromaterapi, massage, musik och TENS vid postoperativ smärta. Frågeställningarna som sedan ställdes var då, kan komplementära metoder minska smärta postoperativt, minska opioidanvändningen samt påverka andra smärtrelaterade symtom i kroppen, såsom andningsfrekvens, blodtryck, puls och hormoner i kroppen? Arbetet gjordes som en litteraturstudie där 22 kvantitativa artiklar granskades.

Background: Poor perineal wound healing and infections after proctectomy surgery, affect a significant proportion of physical and psychological morbidities such as pain, leakage and abscesses. In its lengthening some of these symptoms will lead to extended periods of hospitalization. These kind of postoperative complications are also associated with delays in eventual chemotherapy treatment Aim: To describe the patients experiences of postoperative wound infection as well as communication and self-care support from the nurse specialist after proctectomy due to rectal cancer. Method: A qualitative content analysis was carried out from interviews. Results: Four main categories emerged; ?Coping with postoperative complications?, ?be independent?, ?feel safe?, and ?accept the situation?.

SAMMANFATTNING (svenska) Introduktion: I Sverige genomförs över 400 000 operationer årligen på inneliggande patienter. Tidigare forskning visar brister på hur patienters förväntade smärta och den upplevda smärtan upplevs i samband med öppen bukkirurgi. Syfte: Syftet var att undersöka samband mellan förväntad smärta och upplevd smärta samt upplevelser av smärtlindring vid öppen bukkirurgi. Metod: En pilotstudie med kvantitativ design som syftar till att beskriva och mäta variablerna förväntad smärta och upplevd smärta samt upplevelse av given smärtlindring. I pilotstudien deltar 12 patienter från två kirurgiska avdelningar.
