The purpose of this thesis is to describe how principals apprehend the school library. In order to respond to this I formulated three questions: How was the improvement of the school libraries carried out in one municipality? Is the school library experienced as a part of the schools organization? How is the use of the school´s library experienced? To be able to answer these questions, for the purpose of this thesis, I have studied relevant literature on school libraries, the school organization and literature on qualitative methods. I have made six qualitative interviews. The objects of the interviews were three librarians and three principals.

The purpose of this master thesis is to investigate if and how upper secondary school librarians can work in a more deliberately pedagogical way with fiction from the perspective of upper secondary school students. In the essay inspiration is fetched from Phenomenography in order to determine the different perspectives that may exist amongst the students. In addition to the Phenomenography, theories on how learning occurs, individual and social constructivism, are also included in the essay. In the essay three upper secondary schools are included. Interviews were conducted with the librarian of each school and with three students at each school.

The aim of this study is to describe the variation in two teachers perceptions of their work with individual developments. The study begins with a review of the Swedish National Agency for Education?s guidelines for working with individual developments. With this I want to give the reader an insight into the teachers working conditions and the responsibilities the school authorities have against their students. Using Phenomenography, I have examined the differences between two mathematic teacher?s perceptions in working with individual developments for student?s in need of special education.   My questions are: How do mathemathic teachers perceive their work with individual developments? What support and what information do the teacher?s feel that they have been given in order to use individual developments as a tool? How do the teachers perceive that their work situation has influenced their work with individual developments? The two teachers I have interviewed showed different perceptions both in how they understood the guidelines for working with individual developments and how they chose to work with them.

Denna studie är ett försök att belysa samspelet mellan chefer och politiker i Åtvidabergs kommun, där man har tillämpat ett slags roterande kommunchefskap som består av en chefsgrupp på fem individer där man roterar på posten som formell kommunchef med två månaders intervaller. Denna kvalitativa studie undersöker lärares erfarenheter av och uppfattningar om grupparbete i skolans naturvetenskapliga ämnen. Lärare, undervisande i NO och verksamma i skolår 1-9, har intervjuats med förutbestämda frågor i öppen form. Genom en fenomenografisk metod har studien resulterat i fyra kategorier av uppfattningar hos lärarna. The aim of the thesis is to find a deeper understanding and knowledge concerning the interpretation of racism as a phenomenon in the everyday life of children in the age of 12-13 years old. To achieve the aim of the thesis I have used parts of the phenomenographic theories as a methodological implement. The conclusions made are represented through four different themes. The first theme deals with the way children apply to verbal overtones of racism in their everyday language. The second theme is about how some children discuss thoughts on integration and assimilation as phenomenon.

The purpose of this master?s thesis is to examine how pupils with Swedish as a second language and school librarians perceive the concept of pleasure of reading and the feeling of being a part of society. Our research is based on qualitative interviews with eight students in grades 6-9 and from two different schools. We have also interviewed two school librarians in these two libraries. As a method of analysis, we used Phenomenography because it is the informants' perceptions of the phenomenon of pleasure of reading that we investigate.

The aim of this study was to describe and analyse the perceptions that ten 12-15 yearold pupils with special educational need, who had been assigned a personal computer, have about Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the learning process. Data was collected by personal interviews and observations. Sociocultural perspective and phenomenographic research approach were used as theoretical and methodological frameworks in analyzing and understanding the result. The major conclusions were that most respondents perceived the computer as beneficial assistive technology for learning, but some felt singled out by having a computer to assist in learning. Students had various opportunities to succeed in using their tool depending on e.g.

Studien syftar till att undersöka lärares uppfattningar om läsförståelseutveckling och om hur läsförståelseundervisning. Det är en kvalitativ studie inspirerad av fenomenografisk metodansats med halvstrukturerade intervjuer som datainamlingsmetod. Resultatet visar att det finns en variation i lärares uppfattningar om vad som utvecklar läsförståelse och hur läsförståelseundervisning ska genomföras. Det som framkommer i intervjuerna med pedagogerna är att de flesta vill och försöker arbeta medvetet med sin läsförståelseundervisning men att det till stor del förekommer mest implicit undervisning. Resultatet påvisar en tendens till att eleverna blir sittande att genomföra uppgifter på egen hand eller i par och pedagogen blir instruktionsgivare och kontrollant istället för undervisare och övervakare av elevernas läsning.

Syftet med studien var att undersöka sjuksköterskors uppfattningar av handledning av sjuksköterskestudenter. Frågeställningarna som författarna ville få besvarade var: vad handledning innebar för sjuksköterskan och vad hon ansåg påverka handledningen. Metoden som författarna valde att använda var en fenomenografisk ansats. Fenomenografin var lämplig då författarna ville undersöka sjuksköterskornas olika uppfattningar kring det valda fenomenet. Datainsamlingen utfördes genom semistrukurerade intervjuer med sex sjuksköterskor på en kirurgavdelning på UMAS.

Syftet med denna studie var att beskriva hur innebörden av begreppet vardagsrehabilitering (VR) uppfattas inom kommunal äldreomsorg. Datainsamling utfördes genom enskilda intervjuer med omvårdnadspersonal, arbetsterapeuter, enhetschefer samt beslutande politiker, fem respektive sex i varje grupp. Data analyserades utifrån en kvalitativ innehållsanalys inspirerad av fenomenografi som resulterade i två kategorier: 1) VR innebär kommunikation, samarbete och resurser, samt 2) VR innebär ett synsätt där träning i aktivitet möjliggörs i alla situationer. Resultatet visade att alla respondenter anser att innebörden av begreppet VR är att de äldre inom kommunal äldreomsorg ska få möjlighet att utföra aktiviteter utifrån egen förmåga. Andra särskilt framträdande aspekter gällande VR är att det anses innebära en god kommunikation, vara ett självklart synsätt som inte behöver diskuteras, samt att utbildning är viktigt men inte en förutsättning för att arbeta vardagsrehabiliterande..

Personer med kognitiva nedsättningar tillhör en av de största grupperna av funktionsnedsatta personer. Premium Comai är ett hjälpmedel för att hjälpa personer med kognitiva nedsättningar att bli mer självständiga i deras vardag. Denna målgrupp har framförallt svårigheter med de exekutiva funktionerna så till exempel att minnas saker de ska genomföra eller att uppfatta hur lång tid aktiviteter tar. Denna studie undersöker hur användandet av en digital kalender som hjälpmedel för personer med kognitiva nedsättningar ser ut och hur användare av upplever hjälpmedlet, om de upplever att det hjälper dem planera sin tid och att komma ihåg. För att undersöka detta intervjuades användare av Premium Comai, där intervjutekniken var semistrukturerade intervjuer.

The study sheds light on how individuals from different countries experience the labour action Komjobb. The study aim to examine in which consideration experiences of the action Komjobb differs among the participants. The study is based on eight qualitative interviews and analyzed by using the method of Phenomenography. We have based this research on a theory about Social constructivism. Other theories that we have used are Bauman's theory about the changing value of work in the modern and postmodern society and Andersson's theory of unemployment as a social category.
