In the light of new technology health care is now given the opportunity to form a more mobile way of working that would bring about potential gains in terms of efficiency and quality. On the other hand, a more mobile health care also requires a more generous handling of personal information, something that may raise issues in terms of privacy. This study shows that the privacy of the patient requires two things: (i) that the personal information of the patient is handled in a way that generates her an overall positive expected utility and that (ii) the negative expected utility that each risk of an information leakage causes is offset by the expected utility it also makes possible. The first requirement (i) is shown, in comparison with today?s way of working, to be met due to the potential gains in efficiency and quality in combination with no increase in the probability of informational leakage or negative effects of such a leakage. The second requirement (ii) was also considered met since no separate risks of information leakage could be identified that was not offset by the gains it made possible in terms of expected utility..

The purpose of this study is to use a qualitative approach to highlight the western involvement in Thai orphanages and, on basis of Western moral development workers and volunteers, enlighten how Western colonial heritage can be recreated in the humanitarian economic aid.The study is based on the recent tsunami disaster in 2004 which led to a huge voluntary effort by Western volunteers and organizations who wanted to rebuild the country. Now, seven years after the disaster, the country has recovered well and thanks to a strong turism, and industrial growth, the country has now reached the position of a middle income country with regional power.The study presents a selection of previous ressearch in the area from different critical perspectives. It is a field study based on qualitative interviews with six informants that highlights the individual engagment in humanitarian assistance. Theories based on Post-colonialism and globalization have been used in order to analyze and reach the result of this study..

Syftet med detta arbete var att genom intervjuer med förskollärare och personal på lekterapin undersöka hur barn sörjer samt hur förskollärare och personal på lekterapin kan hjälpa barn att bearbeta sorg genom leken. Vi har även undersökt om det finns någon handlingsplan på förskolorna då det gäller arbetet med barn som är i sorg. Resultatet visar att barn sörjer på olika sätt och att de sörjer i perioder. När barn bearbetar sin sorg gör de det genom att till exempel leka och rita. Resultaten visar även att vuxna bör finnas där för barnen som är i sorg.

SammanfattningStudien syftade till att få en djupare förståelse för hur personal inom äldreomsorgen upplever effekterna av ett kvalitetsarbete. Studien hade följande frågeställningar:? Hur beskriver personalen kvalitetsarbetet och effekterna av detta?? Hur ter sig arbetssituationen med fokus på arbetsgrupp och delaktighet efter det genomförda kvalitetsarbetet?För att besvara frågorna utgick intervjun från tre teman, kvalitetsarbete, delaktighet och arbetsgrupp. Vår vetenskapsfilosofiska utgångspunkt har varit hermeneutisk och resultatet av intervjuerna har analyserats utifrån humanistisk teori, systemteori samt Angelöws teori om förändringsarbete i organisationer.Studien visar att det har varit viktigt för personalen att få vara delaktig i kvalitetsarbetet och att detta motiverade och inspirerade dem. Vidare visade studien att personalen upplever att arbetsgruppen har blivit mer öppen och tillåtande samt att den stress som de tidigare upplevt minskat och att arbetsglädjen har ökat.

The purpose of this study was to try to develop a better understanding of the process that being a member in a new religious movement might imply, and to find out how the identity of a defector changes from the time upon entering the movement, while they are within the movement and after leaving the movement. We also wanted to examine what kind of help and support would be needed around a defection. The study focuses on identity and our questions were: How does the defector describe him/herself and his/her identity before joining the new religious movement until the period after defecting? What demand for support and help may there be when defecting from new religious movement? The theoretical starting point was The Identity Theory, Structural Role Theory and KASAM. A qualitative method was used and four defectors from new religious movements were interviewed.

LKAB använder i rekryteringssammanhang personlighetstest i syfte att om möjligt förutsäga hur kandidater agerar vid givna situationer i det framtida arbetet som produktionschef. Företaget använder Temperament and Character Inventory (TCI) och känner sig inte tillfredsställda med detta, då kandidaternas personliga egenskaper uppfattas annorlunda vid anställningsintervjun än vad testet visar. På uppdrag av LKAB har olika personlighetstest analyserats och jämförts mot LKAB:s kravspecifikation på produktionschefer. Genom intervjuer med HR-advisors på LKAB samlades information in om produktionschefernas personliga egenskaper, LKAB:s rekryteringsprocess och om personlighetstestet. Med utgångspunkt från företagets kravspecifikation för produktionschefer jämfördes personlighetstesten Gordon Personal Profile Inventory, NEO Personality Inventory-Revised, Hogan Personality Inventory, Sixteen Personality Factor och Temperament and Character Inventory med hjälp av en litteraturstudie.

Patienter i behov av palliativ omvårdnad finns på många vårdenheter och målet med modern palliativ vård är att främja livskvalitet. I vården har personalens bemötande stor betydelse för patienters välmående. Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att beskriva patienters upplevelser av det goda mötet i palliativ omvårdnad. Arton vetenskapliga artiklar analyserades med kvalitativ manifest innehållsanalys. Detta resulterade i tre kategorier: att få omsorg utan att behöva fråga, att bli sedd som människa inger hopp, att lita på personalens kunskaper.

Development and accuracy tests of advanced exchange trading systems require well adjusted tools for testing. Aptness of these tools are probable to have a major impact on identification of bugs and verification of new functionality. Identifying erroneous parts and bottlenecks of the trading system is of outmost importance for the exchange as a whole since stability and correctness are two of the determinant factors its viability is measured by. This paper covers how this test-tool was created and the motivation behind the design choices made. The domain of this thesis is Personal Information Management (PIM) which is a sub-domain to human-computer interaction (HCI) that specifically concerns the interaction between human and information. The purpose of the study is to make an exploration of information management in a scientific research setting, to study which tools and strategies for information interaction that are used in the context and to suggest possible improvements of today's practices. Three in-depth interviews with scientific researchers have been conducted followed by a qualitative analysis of the results. The results show that there are great variations among the three respondents and that there can be distinguished as much as 15 different dimensions that when put together forms a unique PIM profile for each individual. The recommendation following this is that tools for PIM have to allow a high degree of individualisation.

Gastric ulceration is a disease with several risk factors. The factor that seems tohave the largest impact on the development of gastric ulceration is a small particle size of thefeed. The reported prevalence of gastric ulceration differs from 5 to 100 % and it is a largeherd-to-herd variation.

Denna studie handlar om personalens medvetenhet om matematik i förskolan. Syftet med undersökningen är att ta reda på om det arbetas medvetet med matematik ute på förskolorna. Jag är också intresserad av rektorernas inflytande över personalens medvetenhet om matematik och verksamheternas arbetsplaner/målformuleringar inom ämnet. Intervjuerna gjordes med rektorer och personal i förskolan för att ringa in deras medvetenhet om matematiken i förskolan. Studien bygger på kvalitativa forskningsintervjuer.

The aim of this work is to gain understanding of how predictions and images of future are created and maintained and how they are changed in society. An interdisciplinary approach to cultural and social aspects is used to examine how collective images about future are created. The distinction between collective images and private images is problematised. The subject matter is extracted from a previous explorative examination about Do It Yourself and OpenSource culture which are concepts of collective learning. That work is described in the foreword.The question ?How is a collective image about the future created?? is central for this paper.The interdisciplinary approach is a cross reference synthesis of philosophies, educational studies, film studies, strategicstudies and future studies.
