This report aims to describing the work behind the development of a masonry heater.The masonry heater is developed in collaboration with the company Transient Design KB that is a product development company located in Alingsås. The company sees a possibility to cover a market segment where modern technology and design are missing.The report presents those methods and approaches that have been used and gives an overview to how the project has been carried out. One of the main goals of the national curriculum is to encourage children?s personal opinion and support them in development of argumentation ability and communication skills. All this is very important for the children as members of the future society.The purpose of this essay is to investigate how primary school teachers estimate the meaning of the pupil?s argumentation as well as which methods and approaches are assumed by the teachers to be most appropriate for children?s argumentation development. The study also considers the questions how the teachers motivate their pupil has to argue in the classroom and how the students by themselves understand the concept of argumentation.

ABSTRACT Introduction: One of the great difficulties that the nurse anesthetist encounter in their profession is to assess and estimate sleep depth versus signs of pain in the anesthetized patient. Based on a pre-operative appointment and the perioperative monitoring, an assessment of the patient is made. The experience that the nurse anesthetist has can make it easier to understand what subtile signs of the patient depends on. Purpose: With this in mind, the purpose of the pilot study was to try to find out if there are specific signs of pain during anesthesia and if the professional experience played a role. As a subsidiary aim the authors examined whether there were factors in the patient that the nurse anesthetist takes into account in the identification of pain during anesthesia.

Vårdpersonal och allmänheten uttrycker ofta negativa attityder till patienter som är överviktiga. Antalet patienter som genomgår en operation för sin övervikt ökar för varje år. Det är en omvälvande operation för patienten och patienter söker mycket information innan operationen. Den perioperativa dialogen, en ideal arbetsmodell har tidigare prövats på andra patientgrupper men inte på patienter som skall genomgå en operation för sin övervikt.  Syfte med studien var att beskriva patienters upplevelse av sin övervikt och hur kontinuiteten i den perioperativa dialogen kan ge lindrat lidande i samband med operation för övervikt.Studien har en hermeneutisk design. Data samlades in med hjälp av den perioperativa dialogen som dokumenterats vid sjuksköterskans möte med 26 patienter.

This is a qualitative and hermeneutic study where I describe, analyze and interpret four Swedish teachers' perceptions of the importance of writing as a way of acquiring knowledge. The purpose is to highlight attitudes to writing and their impact on the teaching practice. The theoretical background discusses the autonomic aspects of scripture and pedagogical positions concerning writing instruction. Results show that the teachers teaching positions can be traced back to their approach to writing. However, in this study, it is difficult to tell exactly what these consequences are because the approaches of the teachers? are similar.

This Master?s thesis concerns the public librarian?s professional identity. The complexity of the mandates of the public librarian, and the public library, raises questions on how librarians understand their professional identities. The empirical material consists of qualitative in-depth interviews with librarians. Two theoretical approaches are used in the analysis of the material with a focus on the public librarians? knowledge and professional role.

Bakgrund: Anestesi- och operationssjuksköterskor arbetar i en komplex miljö. För att öka effektiviteten infördes ett effektivitetssalskoncept på en klinik. Flera sätt att öka effektiviteten beskrivs i litteraturen, få studier har dock berört sjuksköterskornas upplevelser av att arbeta enligt liknande koncept.Syftet: Var att undersöka hur anestesi- och operationssjuksköterskor upplevde det perioperativa omvårdnadsarbetet när det sker inom effektivitetssalskonceptets ramar.Metod: En kvalitativ induktiv pilotstudie genomfördes, ett ändamålsenligt urval användes och fyra stycken specialistsjuksköterskor deltog i studien. Enskilda intervjuer genomfördes med öppna frågor. Data analyserades med kvalitativ innehållsanalys.Resultat: Upplevelsen av omvårdnadsarbetet när det skedde enligt effektivitetssalskonceptet var behäftat med känslor av tillfredsställelse och glädje, bland annat över att operationsköerna kortades av.

Bakgrund: Under det perioperativa vårdförloppet föreligger många riskfaktorer för patienten att utveckla oavsiktlig hypotermi. Detta kan leda till flertalet operativa och postoperativa komplikationer vilket kan skapa obehag och lidande för patienten, förlänga vårdtider och generera ökade kostnader för samhället. Den perioperativa specialistsjuksköterskans omvårdnadsansvar innefattar ett flertal värmebevarande omvårdnadsåtgärder för att förebygga och behandla hypotermi hos patienten.Syfte: Syftet med studien var att beskriva anestesi-, operations- och intensivvårdssjuksköterskors värmebevarande omvårdnadsåtgärder i det perioperativa vårdförloppet.Metod: En studie med deskriptiv analys utfördes. Data samlades in genom en strukturerad intervjuguide. Sammanlagt deltog 36 specialistsjuksköterskor i studien.Resultat: Specialistsjuksköterskornas värmebevarande omvårdnadsåtgärder bestod utav både passiva och aktiva åtgärder varav tre var utmärkande; att använda luftvärmetäcke, att ge varma infusions- och spolvätskor samt att undvika onödig exponering av patienten.

 I dagens samhälle är den rådande normen baserad på marknadsekonomi. Systemet bygger på att konsumenten vill ha så mycket för sina pengar som möjligt vilket leder till att produktion med hög effektivitet gynnas. I Sverige har vi antagit vissa riktlinjer och regler för att företagens effektivitet och vinstintresse inte skall gå ut över miljön eller de anställda. Regleringarnas syfte är att ? till så stor utsträckning som möjlig ? bidra till att produkter inte framställs under oetiska förhållanden för vare sig människor eller miljö.

In this experience-based essay, I give examples of events that take place during a typical day at preschool. By highlighting these everyday events, I discuss around the parental role and its importance for children and child development. I apply a historical review when it comes to views on children and child rearing, and reflect on different approaches that we have towards the children. In the discussion, I reflect on the Childs need for boundaries, and thereby try to understand why we act differently in this respect. To gain more knowledge and understanding of the events I have taken help from theories in literature and from my own practical knowledge.

Aim: The aim of the study is to show how a Bildung-oriented biology teaching could be designed, along with providing classroom examples of such teaching. In this study, the term Bildung, is defined based on the German Didaktik tradition as competences for self-determination, constructive participation in society, and solidarity. Theory: The study is based om Englund?s thoughts of teaching as didactic choices that express different views of meaning, socialisation, method, and context. This is referred to as companion meanings. Additionally, the theoretical framework is influenced by Gadamer?s thoughts on understanding through dialogue and Klafki?s didactic analysis of educational content for Bildung-orientated approaches. Method: The empirical qualitative study is based on ten semi-structured interviews of biology teachers at Swedish Folkh?gskola.

The study´s main purpose is to examine how three educators who work with children ages 1-3  in three different preschools working with mathematics in preschool. I have used a qualitative research in the form of interviews to obtain educators perspectives on their working. The educator´s stories about their working methods are the most important findings and it turned out that the interviewed educators was working fairly similar in terms of mathematics learning with the youngest children  in preschool. They both schedule mathematics in various activities and work with it in everyday situations. Their different approaches can be divided into five different categories which are: planned theme work and experiences, body and play, interaction and conversation, environment and materials, visualize mathematics..

The purpose of this study is to increase knowledge and clarify how active educators regard ICT- tools as aids, both the educators currently using the ICT- tools to improve writing skills and educators who have not yet embraced it. The study is based on four interviews with educators working within the age groups grade 1- 3. The findings of this study show a strong commitment among all educators, in terms of students' writing skills and their different approaches to working with writing skills, which is important as one method should not preclude another. In the findings a considerable curiosity can be seen for ICT- tools for writing instruction by the educators who have not embraced it. Introduktion: Operationssjuksköterskans roll har under årens lopp förändras i takt med vetenskapliga framsteg inom kirurgin. Operationssjuksköterskan har i olika utsträckningar fått ett större ansvar inom perioperativa omvårdnanden som inkludera pre-, intra- och postoperativt.Syfte: Syftet med denna studie var att beskriva operationssjuksköterskans uppfattning av ansvaret i den perioperativa omvårdnaden.Metod: Sex intervjuer genomfördes med operationssjuksköterskor vid ett sjukhus i Norrland. Insamlad data analyserades med hjälp av kvalitativ innehållsanalys.Resultat: I textanalysen identifierades fyra kategorier: Kontinuerligt utvärderande av det egna arbetet, Kompetens ger större ansvar, Upplever att en ökad patientkontakt skulle förbättra vården och deras kompetens och Operationssjuksköterskan har en egen uppfattning om hur hennes ansvar att följa riktlinjer och rutiner ser ut.Diskussion: Operationssjuksköterskorna upplevde att nya rutiner utvecklades då fel uppdagas. De beskrev ett mångsidigt arbete som var mer än bara instrumentering, och en ökad patientkontakt uppgavs kunna bidra till att vinna kunskap, både tekniskt och omvårdnadsmässigt. Hur ny information och nya riktlinjer och rutiner användes var i viss grad beroende av operationssjuksköterskan som individ.
