Studien belyser utifrån ett designteoretiskt perspektiv hur några gymnasieelever designar sin förståelse för ett kunskapsområde genom att analysera elevernas multimodala presentationer i ett kursmoment. I studien ställs frågor om hur eleverna väljer teckenresurser för sin kommunikation om ett kunskapsområde, hur de förbereder och designar sin kommunikation och hur de gestaltar kunskapsområdet med olika representationer i sina multimodala presentationer. För att få svar på forskningsfrågorna har presentationer filmats och elever intervjuats. Studien visar att eleverna väljer språkliga teckenresurser och medier de är vana vid att använda i skolan. Eleverna visar också en osäkerhet i hur lärandet fungerar och drar inte särskilt stor nytta av samspelet och kommunikationen i grupparbeten..

Fantasy literature has a rather strong position in countries with an English-speaking population but not in Sweden. The supply of fantasy in Sweden is much smaller than that in for example United Kingdom. Does this affect the Swedish readers of this genre? If it does, how does it affect them? The aim of this thesis is to find out how a few fantasy-reading students at the Swedish School of Library and Information Science get hold of the fiction they want to read and who and/or what influence their decision of which book to read. In order to avoid confusion we are also going to try to find out how they define fantasy since it varies from person to person what is included in the genre.

AbstractCities are once again becoming the locus of economic, social and political processes. The effect of these processes on the city is two-fold: one one hand they threaten to fragment and dislocate the city and the actors within them, on the other hand they give actors within cities new opportunities to react and mobilize resources towards different strategies of integration. The latter gives rise to what Patrick Le Galès calls the collective actor-city. The aim of this thesis is to explore the notion of the city as a collective actor in a swedish context by utilizing Le Galès theory of european cities as collective actors in an abductive case study on the city of Malmoe. By utilizing Le Galès five dimensions that make up a collective actor I analyze interviews conducted with city officals aswell as documents produced from the city wide plan of action Welfare for everybody.

The main purpose of this bachelor?s thesis is to examine how Swedish upper secondary school librarians and related staff relate to the online encyclopaedia Wikipedia. The research is placed in the all-embracing context of information literacy and source criticism on the Internet. The study was carried out in the form of qualitative interviews and based on two theoretical bases: firstly, the concept of cognitive authority stipulated by Patrick Wilson, and secondly the idea that Wikipedia has a draw towards late modern epistemological assumptions. The latter theory was also associated with the perceptions of knowledge among the library staff interviewed.

Studien genomfo?rdes som en kvalitativ underso?kning med intervju som metod.

The purpose of this work was to investigate and provide understanding regarding how AI can be used to make organizations more efficient, where risk management is also discussed. The basic model for the study is the Resource-based view, which is about making use of one's resources which are described through many different perspectives. The method used for this study was a qualitative analysis, which was applied through interviews with several people with high positions within companies and relevant skills, based on insight and experiential knowledge.These people work in different industries, therefore a large part of the work was intended to carry out a comparative analysis between a line of different businesses. The results showed that AI is in a developing phase, and based on the respective industry, it has developed in different ways. Finally, it turned out that AI can make businesses more efficient by, among other things, managing data and automating various work processes faster compared to humans.

This Master?s thesis concerns the information behaviour of pastors in nonconformist churches (especially new evangelical and Baptist church communions) in Sweden in their spiritual service to the local parish. The thesis also looks into how the information flow functions in the pastors? context and why the information need appears as it does. The theory used in this study is contextual analysis based on Buckland?s, Weber?s and Patrick Wilson?s theories on authority and power structures.

The thesis aims at, from a user perspective, examining how a group of industrial researchers understand the information seeking in their every day work. A qualitative method is employed. The empirical material consists of open-ended interviews with in all ten researchers. All of them work at the Swiss-Swedish Technology Company ABB's research laboratory in Västerås. The thesis is based on the opinion that the scientific knowledge production has become commercialised and that the scientific communication is going through certain changes.

The aim of this thesis is to explore the concept of the work and the problems with the definition of it. The concept is an important starting-point when it comes to cataloguing musical works and creating uniform titles. Another aim is to find out other difficulties that are frequent in cataloguing printed music. In the theoretical part of this thesis Functional Requirements for Bibliographic Records FRBR and the Swedish cataloguing rules KRS are important tools. The FRBR-model and the four entities work, expression, manifestation and item are described.

The main purpose of this master?s thesis is to examine how high school students evaluate the quality of the information available on the online encyclopedia Wikipedia. By doing quantitative research based on questionnaires we expected to find that the means for judging that students use in this situation are most frequently based on a text?s intrinsic qualities in the point of view of its content. It was also our presupposition that 18 and 19 year old high school graduates have received some education in information research and authoritative sources on the Internet.

Tidigare forskning har lyft fram hur v?rdpersonalen uts?tts f?r hotfulla situationer som leder till b?de fysiska samt psykiska konsekvenser. F?r att f?rst? helheten beh?vs det en djupare kunskap om sjuksk?terskornas egna upplevelser av att uts?ttas f?r hot och v?ld i sitt arbete.

Den ha?r uppsatsen behandlar begreppet mediedrev och dess olika innebo?rd. Att bena?mna en stor medieha?ndelse som ett mediedrev a?r sa?llan oproblematiskt och genom att go?ra det riskerar man att bagatellisera gediget journalistiskt arbete. Jag har inte studerat den medicinska forskningen utan ha?llit mig till den forsk- ning som riktar sig mot livskvalitet och livsvillkor fo?r dessa personer. Den forskning som riktar sig mot personer med grav intellektuell funktionsnedsa?ttning har till stor del musikterapeutiska perspektiv.Syftet med denna uppsats a?r att fo?rsta? aktiviteten musik tillsammans med personer med grav utvecklingssto?rning.
