AbstractThe development of the construction industry is slower compared to other industries. This implies that there must be improvements in this field. One step to increased effectiveness in construction projects is making the construction process more efficient, therefore resulting in a positive result for both the actual construction project and for the overall branch. The purpose of this study is to identify areas for improvement within the municipal housing company Gavlegårdarna completed construction project, who will then contribute to increased efficiency in their upcoming projects. The work has been performed with the help of two case studies examine construction projects "Fullriggaren" and "The three nursing homes." Opinions about what could have improved the efficiency of these construction projects further have been collected with the help of an interview study among some of the project participants involved in both projects.There have been many studies addressing the topic of how the construction process can be streamlined and similar studies that have been previously conducted.

The effects of social media usage in a professional context, specifically the effects on social media usage in relation to leadership have been studied in order to determine weather or not usage can be productive for leadership in general. The study concludes that there are several benefits as well as drawbacks to leadership in using social media, but has yet to conclude weather productive or not. This study gives an overview of a relatively unexplored subject.Leadership in terms of leader, communication and group dynamics have been defined and explained in accordance with existing literature. A  brief review of computer and Internet history attempts to explain the formation and evolution of social media. Risks in terms of risks related to leadership and risks related to IT-security are taken into consideration and have been briefly explained.

As a result of the so called ?Million Program? between the years 1965 ? 1975 the design-build contract had its breakthrough in Sweden. Since then, the contract form has become increasingly common and now holds a strong position on the Swedish market. In design-build contracts it?s usual that the design and production time is overlapping.

Kunskapsöverföring har visat sig vara problematiskt i projektorganisationer på grund av projektens tydliga avgränsningar. Byggbranschen är en projektorganiserad bransch som av olika anledningar har problem med kunskapsöverföring mellan projekt. Vi finner det därför intressant att undersöka kunskapsöverföring mellan projekt i byggbranschen. Syftet med uppsatsen är att beskriva hur faktorer gällande kultur och struktur påverkar kunskapsöverföring mellan projekt i byggföretag samt om och hur dessa faktorer skiljer sig mellan traditionella projekt och Partneringprojekt. För att uppfylla syftet och besvara forskningsfrågorna har en fallstudie med personliga intervjuer genomförts vid byggföretaget NCC i Luleå.

För att skapa ett bättre och effektivare arbetssätt i branschen har en ny samarbetsform tagits fram. Denna samarbetsform kallas Partnering och innebär i stora drag endast ett mer strukturerat sätt att arbeta. Huvudmålet är att skapa ett förhållande där parterna arbetar tillsammans mot gemensamma mål. Genom att fördela både risker och vinster mellan varandra skapas en ömsesidig vilja att effektivisera underhållet. Partnering är ingen ny entreprenadform utan ett nytt sätt arbeta.

The main advantages they can see is that they are able to influence technical solutions and methods that will be used later on in the production. Therefore it is important to consider when construction workers should be involved in the planning process so that they get the chance to influence in this decisions.When it comes to the decision making the construction workers should be involved in the decisions that are related to their tasks in the production such as technical solutions, choice of methods and materials. Their main duties and working hours should be in the production.Involvement in planning does not automatically mean that the construction workers are involved in the decision making, it is up to them how much they participate.

Quality is the key to a well executed product or service. The construction industry hasn?t highlighted the quality in recent times which have contributed to the construction industry receiving much criticism in the field. The public sees it as an offhanded industry where errors and delays are common.The reason for this is considered to be primarily the lack of time, constant pressure to reduce costs and skills and the ability to communicate between the parties about what the correct quality really means. The industry has begun to realize that it must start setting clearer standards and that there are great opportunities for improvement.This report will give Peab an opportunity to develop their quality work.

The examination has been performed at Bjerking AB, which is an architectural and engineering company. Bjerking AB has the ambition to be a member of Green Building.The Green Building program developed in year 2005 by The European Commission, the program is an environmental system with the aim to improving energy efficiency within the sectors of non-residential buildings. The minimum requirements to participate the program are following: in new-built buildings the calculated energy consumption must be 25 % lower than the requirements in the BBR (Building regulations) and in refurbishment the reduction must be 25 % lower than before the optimization.The aim of this study has been to examine and review the company Bjerking AB's energy efficiency work in the project of building the school/kindergarten S:ta Maria Alsike, where the goal is to get this building Green Building classed. A description of requirements to become a member of the Green Building has also accomplished in the thesis.The methods performed in this study are literature review, searches on the Internet, studies on the project database for facts/values, calculation of energy consumption and interviews of members of the Green Building. The following issues have been dealt with in the report;-          Did the building in the project manage the requirement to achieve an   energy consumption that is 25% lower than the requirements in BBR?-          What technical measures/system was selected in the building?-          What kind of cooperation was the project based on?-          What is required for consultancy companies and real estate owners to become members of the Green Building?The study of the project and calculation of estimated energy consumption in the building, give the result 47 kWh/m2, year.

The idea for the project emerged when Nilorn wanted to get better control over their supplychain and improve operational efficiency. The company also want to reduce their expenses inthe continuous process of improving profitability. By choosing the right option oftransportation and mode of transport there are large potential savings for the company. Thisenables Nilorn to reduce the transportation costs and strengthen the environmentalresponsibilities by reducing their environmental impact.The flow of goods within Nilorn has over the past years increased significantly and most ofthe gods today is transported by air. The aim of this thesis is to analyse the supply chain of thecompany and evaluate the potential economic savings in this area.

Background: The construction industry is Sweden?s single most important industry branch with a significant influence on Sweden?s wealth. The political restrictions that once controlled the industry are today almost gone. This combined with an unbalanced supply and demand situation on the Swedish constructions market, caused by urbanisation, has led to increased pressure on the Swedish construction companies who now are forced to find new methods in their struggle to contain or increase their competitive advantage. Purpose: The purpose of this thesis is to survey: which strategic variables are of great importance in today?s Swedish construction industry with focus on the four main actors, JM, NCC, PEAB and Skanska.

Vi har valt att skriva vårt Examensarbete inom inköpsorådet. Arbetet syftar till att undersöka inköpets betydelse för företagen och särskilt belysa tre frågeställningar. Vi har valt att fokusera på kommunala företag men vi har även med ett privat företag. Inköpets betydelse har ökat allt mer under de senaste decennierna, allt mer material köps in färdigt och skruvas ihop. Det finns stora pengar att tjäna på att ha ett effektivt inköp.

Vägverket har i sin strävan att ständigt förbättra sina projekt och utvecklingen inom byggindustrin sett Partnering som ett värdefullt verktyg. Partnering innebär inte en helt ny entreprenadform utan är snarare ett nytt sätt att arbeta. Huvudmålet är att skapa en miljö i projekten där samverkan, förtroende och gemensamma mål ligger i fokus. Genom att fördela både risker och vinster mellan parterna skapas en ömsesidig vilja att effektivisera byggprocessen. Genom att i samråd diskutera och föreslå nya lösningar tas den kompetens som finns inom branschen bättre tillvara.

This bachelor thesis has the purpose to visualize and document the air movementsprovided by different ventilation principles in an operating theatre. The visualizationwill be made as simple as possible in a physical model. The model and thedocumentation should be able to use in educational purposes.The study is based on the two most common systems for airflow, currently used inoperating theatres. The first principle is displacement ventilation in which the air issupplied at low velocity along the floor. The second principle is vertical parallel laminarairflow in which the air is compressed like a piston from ceiling to the floor.A review of literature resulted in the choice of size, design, and scale factor for themodel, as well as choices of ventilation principles and airflows.

SAMMANFATTNINGPartnering är ett samverkansarbete mellan olika aktörer i ett byggprojekt där alla strävar mot gemensamma mål, vilket bidrar till ett mer hållbart byggande. Metoden härstammar från USA och har börjat implementeras allt mer i den svenska byggbranschen. ByggDialog är ett företag som arbetar enbart med Partnering och strävar efter att förändra arbetssättet i dagens byggbransch. Kundens behov och önskemål sätts alltid i fokus, men för att skapa ett bättre samarbete bör kunden dela ByggDialogs värderingar. Resultatet av ett bra Partneringarbete ger ett team som har en öppen dialog och arbetar mot samma mål.
