E-papperet är ett medie som i framtiden kan komma att användas för att läsa dagstidningar. Istället för att bläck trycks på papperet så visar e-papperet informationen genom att små partiklar på papperets yta byter färg vilket innebär att samma e- pappersark kan innehålla och visa ett stort antal sidor. Nya medier blir sällan accepterade utan att det funnits länkar till tidigare eller existerade tekniker. Denna studie ämnar kartlägga tidningsläsarnas användningsmönster och papperstidningens egenskaper för att understödja utformningen av morgondagens e-papperstidning. Genom att kombinera litteratur med egna undersökningar presenteras riktlinjer för vilka egenskaper och användningsmönster som framtidens e-papper bör stödja.

Under de senaste åren har det visat att folsyra har en koppling till neuralrörsdefekter (NTD) hos foster. Under graviditeten ökar kravet på folsyra på grund av tillväxt av livmoder, placenta och foster. Syftet med detta arbete var att ta reda på folsyrans effekter och bieffekter. Att redogöra de vetenskapliga belägg som finns för folsyrans skyddseffekter mot missbildningar och vilka rekommendationer av folsyratillskott som ges till de fertila kvinnorna i barnafödande ålder. Metoden som användes var att söka och granska vetenskaplig litteratur i form av artiklar från databaserna PubMed, SveMed+, Svensk MeSH, Google Scholar och Libris.

I dag behandlas depression med kognitiv terapi eller medicinering. Några exempel på läkemedelsgrupper är Monoaminoxidashämmare (MAO-hämmare), Tricykliska antidepressiva (TCA) och Selektiva Serotoninåterupptagshämmare (SSRI). SSRI-läkemedlen verkar genom att hämma återupptaget av serotonin i CNS-neuronen.

The horse's motivations to forage and eat are behaviors that horse owners should take into consideration when designing the horse's living environment. In today?s housing of horses, horses are often kept alone in boxes and paddocks and are fed with small amounts of energy-rich roughage. Problems that can arise with a shortened feeding-time and long periods of fasting are behavioral changes like stereotypic behaviors and an increased risk for ulcers. A solution to the short feeding-time is that you are feeding roughage in a small mesh hay net, or a so-called Slow-feed net.

The impact of computer programs in safety-critical systems has increased in the past decades and computer-based systems can now be found in a wide range of applications. A new approach for developing dependable systems is documenting all design rationale that affects safety using Intent Specifications. A recent approach for developing complex systems efficiently and in an upgradeable manner is Component-Based System Engineering. In this thesis, these approaches are combined in the development and upgrade of a Remote Robot Control Unit by using the tool SpecTRM. The case study showed that Intent Specifications and CBSE could successfully be combined.

Time of harvest affects nutritional value and digestibility of haylage since plants are in different developmental stages. The aim of this study was to examine the effect of plant maturity of haylage cut in June, July and August on digestibility and faecal particle size in horses.Forage and faecal samples used for the analysis of apparent dry matter digestibility (DMd) and particle size distribution in faeces were from a feed-study performed in the autumn of 2009. Twelve horses were used in the study, divided into three groups in a change-over experiment. Each group was fed haylage harvested in June, July or August during three periods. Faecal grab samples were taken from each horse and pooled so that one sample represented one horse during one period.

The main objective of this thesis is to study how the structures of a sell dialog, via a web shop, should be designed in order to support and inspire the customer. To get the answer to this question I use a qualitative and quantitative method. The qualitative method is applied in connection with different interviews. The quantitative method is used to analyze different answers given from those who are interviewed. I also use the deductive method due to my interest of studying how reality can relate to the theories with the choice of the subject.Moreover, this thesis is structured by three main perspectives; company, customers and techniques.

Back and forth is a study on wayshowing at events focusing on the Siesta festivalin Hässleholm. For several years the interest in festivals has increased, whichhas contribute to expansion among festivals. The Siesta festival in Hässleholm istoday one of the major festivals in Sweden, attracting 10 000 visitors each year.The festival?s strong expansion has contributed to disorientation in the festivalarea, because it has never been constant from year to year. A side effect of this isthat the orientation is a constant problem.Therefore this study aims to investigate how a clearer route guidance systems onthe Siesta Festival can be designed based on existing designprinciples onguidance and orientation and how the information can be accessable towheelchair users and those with some kind of colourblindness?Surveys among festival visitors and interviews with the festival organizers for thefestival showed which navigation strategies that are most used on festivals.

Ett referenssystemsbyte i en kommun är ett omfattande projekt som kräver både tid och pengar. Denna rapport kan förhoppningsvis vara en hjälp för kommuner som står inför denna uppgift. Rapporten visar på problem som kan uppstå och vad som är bra att tänka på innan inmätningar påbörjas. Valet av passpunkter är den mest centrala uppgiften i samband med ett referenssystemsbyte. Att välja punkter kräver bra kännedom om kommunens punktnät och en strategi om utformningen av restfelsmodellen.

Uppgiften har inneburit att utreda och redovisa några av de möjliga sensoralternativ som med ett 10-årigt perspektiv är möjliga att implementera i en svensk UAV motsvarande det svenska UAV - systemet ?Ugglan?. Fokus avseende uppgifter för UAV ? systemet har legat på taktisk nivå med inriktning mot spaning och ledning av indirekt eld. Slutligen har uppgiften varit att värdera de olika sensoralternativen och förorda vilken eller vilka sensorer i kombination som ger bäst effekt sett till tänkt användningsområde för UAV´n.

Ocean Modules Sweden AB is a small business active in the field of underwater technology. Thecompany was contacted by the Swedish Defense Materiel Administration (FMV) in order todevelop a new system that would conform to their specific requirements. Two students at theRoyal Institute of Technology (KTH) were consulted in conjunction of this project in order to aidthe development and conceptual design of the system.The primary users of the system are the divers of the Explosive Ordnance Disposal division (EOD)- a branch of the Swedish Armed Forces. The purpose of the product was to incorporate allnecessary functions required by the EOD divers into one single system. The main functions arecommunication between the surface operator and diver, video recording, still imaging, positioning,navigation and ocean floor mapping with sonar.
