This essay in musicology is combined with a CD-recording of piano improvisations. Its purpose is, on the one hand, to examine some of the ideas permeating piano improvisation during the first part of the nineteenth century, and, on the other, to find ways to apply these nineteenth century ideas of improvising to modern piano playing. The artistic part of the work is as important as the theoretical, and the two strands are supporting and reinforcing each other.The first section of the text focuses on preluding ? that is, a genre of improvisation. The second section investigates some aspects of the improvising of Franz Liszt ? that is, different types of improvisation as practised by an important nineteenth century musician.

The aim of this study was to reach a deeper understanding of the process that occurs within the social services after receiving a notification according to Chapter 14, section 1, The Social Services Act. More specifically the focus of this study was to illustrate how social secretaries reason about children?s participation in the process, as well as to examine whether the legislative change, Chapter 11, section 1 a, The Social Services Act, has affected the process in any way. The study?s results reflect interviews with five social secretaries who are active in four different municipalities in southern Sweden.

This essay is an examination of the examples in Kant?s Critique of Judgement. The examples which I have focused on all converge in an idea of wildness. These examples of the beautiful are illuminated by a culture-historical perspective, where the literary and scientific travelogue genre is of great importance. Apart from being exegetic and culture historical, my method is also analytic.

The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the concept of a work and the problems with its definition and will also examine bibliographic relationships. The main question is what are the boundaries of a work and at what point a work becomes another. What is the meaning of the concept of a work within the context of the library? What are the solutions of bibliographic relationships and the concept of a work in KRS and FRBR? The thesis is based on a literature review. In the literature I have examined the discussions of the work and bibliographic relationships.

In the project, my ambition was to make a stage design for theater withteenagers as target group. I have worked with the musical theater groupTheater ACTA in Gothenburg and independently from scripts, interpretedand shaped an outline for the basis of the set design of the play?s differentelements. The play, If this was a feel-good movie, is written by Elin Frostand Anna Lundholm, two members of Theater ACTA. The story is aboutthree people in their twenties with different relationships to each other andone week that would change their lives.

Uppsatsen behandlar hur företag hanterar personalens hälsa och ohälsa genom en studie av hur företag arbetar med att redovisa sjukfrånvaron och hur de arbetar med hälsofrämjande åtgärder för att förebygga och hantera sjukfrånvaron. Anne Reese: Johan Lindegrens vägval : en studie i de faktorer som påverkade enskilda aktörers verksamhet inom Stockholms musiksamhälle 1860-1908, Uppsala universitet: Institutionen för Musikvetenskap, uppsats för 100 poäng, 2007.The aim of this essay is to show some of the factors which affected the production and work of the individual musician or composer within Stockholm's music society in the late 19th century. By a case study on Johan Lindegren (1842-1908) I demonstrate how a musician or a composer functioned in the social structures of the music society and how power affected the work of the musician or composer. This essay also fills another purpose as it gives Lindegren a more detailed biography, which is something that has been missing until now.By applying a concept of power, as discussed by Michel Foucault, to this subject and interacting it with the concepts of musical opportunism, I present a new way of talking about the social, as well as the individual factors that affects the individual musician within the music society.The conclusion is drawn that there are two different types of factors that affects the work of the individual; 1) the social network and power within society, which presents positions and opportunities for the musician and 2) the individual character of musician which determine the way the individual uses the position or opportunity he or she is given..

Den svenska fo?rskolan har en la?ng tradition av att anva?nda sig av musikaliska aktiviteter i verksamheten vilka kan uppfattas som tagna fo?r givna.

Syfte: Syftet med studien är att med utgångspunkt från vår empiriska undersökning bidra till att utveckla teoretiska modeller med avseende på beslutsprocessen. Metod: Denna studie har utgått ifrån ett hermeneutiskt perspektiv. Vi har mött teori och praktik iterativt då abduktion har använts. En kvalitativ ansats utformad som en fallstudie där fyra anonyma företag har intervjuats med en semi-strukturerad intervjuguide. Teori: En normativ och en deskriptiv beslutsteori beskrivs för att utgöra en grund i hur en beslutsfattare kan tänka. Sedan presenteras den problematiken som finns gällande skillnader mellan teori och praktik som forskare har lyft fram. Teori angående företagsförvärv presenteras och därtill en förvärvsmodell för hur företag kan gå tillväga vid detta utförande.  Slutsats: Syftet med studien är att utveckla teoretiska modeller och studien har påvisat att det är viktigt att beakta de mänskiga faktorerna.

 Forskning har visat att människor har lättare för att tänka strategiskt i situationer som appellerar till deras intuition (Sternberg, 2004). En metod som använts för att mäta människors strategiska resonemang är ?2/3 Beauty Contest? där deltagarna får välja ett tal mellan 0-100. Den som valt talet närmast 2/3 av det genomsnittliga talet vinner. För att undersöka om deltagarna hade lättare för att tänka strategiskt i en mer naturlig situation utvecklades ett spel där deltagarna fick välja rad att sätta sig på i en teatersalong.

Titel: Rockmusic preferences in the rock programme. Popular culture, music preferences and repertoire inside a teaching institution. This paper raises some questions about the popular music that exists outside as well as inside institutions. From the example of popular music and rockmusic the students of a music teacher education programme based on rock music are asked for their taste for music in a brief questionnaire. The answers are compared to those concerning the music they used to like before they entered the education as well as the music played on the ensemble lessons at the programme.

Bakgrund: Triagesystem användes för att identifiera allvarligt sjuka från mindre sjuka på akutmottagningar. En snabb och adekvat behandling var viktig för en god patientsäkerhet. En sjuksköterskas felbedömning kunde ge allvarliga konsekvenser för en patient och andra vårdsökande. Syfte: Att belysa faktorer som påverkar sjuksköterskan i sitt triagearbete på akutmottagning. Metod: En litteraturöversikt gjordes och 18 resultatartiklar inkluderades.

Vi har valt att skriva om Business Intelligence på grund av dess relevans i dagens växande teknologiska samhälle. Ett Business Intelligence system är en typ av informationssystem som hjälper användaren att se mönster, relationer och trender inom företaget och dess försäljning.BI är ett verktyg för företag och organisationer att använda som underlag för att kunna ta väl grundade och beslut baserade på information snarare än intuition.Syftet med vår uppsats är att söka förståelse för de problem som olika typer av användare står inför vid användning av BI system och hitta gemensamma nämnare bland dem.Studien genomfördes utifrån en kvalitativ metodansats där vi undersökt vilka problem och utmaningar olika användartyper står inför vid användandet av systemet.Studien belyste behovet av ordentlig informationsmodell och en masterdatamodell över gemensamma definitioner inom organisationerna.Det största problemet som identifierades i studien var problematiken för företag att hålla en kvalitativ data inom företaget. Detta problem var något som de alla var väl införstådda med.På grund av slutanvändarnas olika uppfattning av BI system såg problembilderna olika ut. Resultatet av vår studie är att problembilderna skiljer sig åt beroende på vilken användartyp som åsyftas. Leverantörerna, IB-arkitekterna och analytikerna hade en mer gemensam problembild, medan slutanvändarnas problembild var mer spretig..

With examples from a single classroom situation, several educational moments show what goes on between the teacher and the student. The teacher?s responsibility in the learning process is, with a gesture frozen in the air of the moment, to lead and follow the student in her tentative efforts at seeking knowledge. Initially, it is an attempt to shed light upon the "not yet seen" with a certainty that the student herself possesses the capacity and the aptitude to reach greater insight and clarity in her understanding. The Validation/Feil Method presented in this instructional situation illustrates how best to communicate with elderly people suffering from Alzheimer?s dementia.
