Möbius sequence is a rare condition where affected cranial nervesoften lead to speech deviations due to reduced oral motor functioning. Thisstudy aimed to survey speech deviations, compensatory strategies and selfperceptionof speech in seven people with Möbius sequence, and to linkthese to oral motor function and intelligibility. Additionally, the immediateeffects of smile surgery were investigated in one person. The abovementioneddomains were studied instrumentally, perceptually and throughstructured interviewing. All participants displayed reduced oral motorfunction.

Huvudsyftet med den hÀr studien var att ta reda pÄ hur vi som pedagoger kan hjÀlpa barn som Àr i behov av sÀrskilt stöd för att underlÀtta deras skolverksamhet. Vi ville Àven fÄ ökad förstÄelse och kunskap om vad DAMP, ADHD, Tourette syndrom och Asperger syndrom Àr och hur de olika symtomdiagnoserna kÀnnetecknas. Vi har genomfört kvalitativa intervjuer med nyckelpersoner inom detta Àmne. Syftet med intervjuerna var att ta reda pÄ hur intervjupersonerna anser att man ska arbeta med barn i behov av sÀrskilt stöd i skolverksamheten. I undersökningen intervjuade vi en rektor, tvÄ specialpedagoger och tvÄ förskollÀrare.VÄr slutsats Àr att det inte finns nÄgon fÀrdig mall för hur pedagoger skall arbeta med barn i behov av sÀrskilt stöd.

We are always surrounded by space, not just only in a room with four walls, but also when we are outdoors.Constantly we move in a flow of space that changes whenever we move. Unaware we are affectedby this threedimensional surrounding of ours, and it reacts with our perception. Many times, we chooseto translate it into something two-dimensional, for example when we take a photo, recording a movie orframing a view with a window. It helps us to catch a moment, a piece of reality and restore it in our ownway. In this project I?ve chosen to explore this process, to interpret and create my own theories about thistranslation from space to a two-dimensional surface.

To enable the enhancement of the driver's environment in a forklift, an alternative form of steering has been evaluated. An earlier concept with a combined driving and steering wheel has been exchanged to a concept with two driving wheels. A link wheel has replaced the combined driving and steering wheel. The steering is done through differentiation of the velocities of the two driving wheels. The scope of this master thesis is to create a simulation model, create a control program and to evaluate the concept of two driving wheels.

I detta ligger att undersöka pĂ„ vilket sĂ€tt barnens motorik, koncentrationsförmĂ„ga samt sociala förmĂ„ga pĂ„verkas av fysisk aktivitet, och pĂ„ vilket sĂ€tt diagnosen ADHD/DAMP stĂ€ller krav pĂ„ pedagogiska förhĂ„llningssĂ€tt.MetodVi har gjort en litteraturgenomgĂ„ng och en kvalitativ intervjustudiestudie. Urvalsgruppen frĂ„n St: Örjans skolor har bestĂ„tt av tvĂ„ pedagoger, en idrottslĂ€rare, en assistent och en förĂ€lder. Samtliga inom skolpersonalsgruppen hade mĂ„nga Ă„rs erfarenhet inom omrĂ„det. Vi har anvĂ€nt oss av halvstrukturerande intervjuer som lagts upp utifrĂ„n följande temaomrĂ„den: skolpersonal och förĂ€lders syn pĂ„ fysisk aktivitet/motorisk trĂ€ning för barn med ADHD/DAMP, den fysiska aktivitetens pĂ„verkan pĂ„ barnen, förhĂ„llningssĂ€tt och bemötande samt barnet/barnens anpassningsförmĂ„ga till aktivitet.Resultat och slutsatsVad man kan urskönja av resultatet Ă€r att samtliga intervjupersoner i denna studie Ă€r ense om att fysisk aktivitet och motorisk trĂ€ning Ă€r av stor betydelse för barn med ADHD/DAMP.NĂ„got som de intervjuade tryckte pĂ„ var den fysiska aktivitetens betydelse för barnens sociala utveckling, hĂ€r sĂ„gs idrotten som en viktig arena.

Triage, which means "to sort", determine the priority of the patients need of care. The aim of the present study was to describe nurses? perception of triage at a pediatric emergency department. A questionnaire with open- and closed-ended questions were distributed to all 25 nurses that worked at a pediatric emergency department. The answer frequency was 48 % (n=12).

Dampness in the indoor environment have been a major issue of discussion the last decades since more and more people complain about their indoor environment. In the present situation there are difficulties to find what causes people?s discomfort in a damp environment even though there is a strong connection between dampness and human health.The aim of the thesis was to contribute to the work done today to achieve a better indoor environment in damp buildings. The purpose of the work was to evaluate whether the measures issued for dampness in the indoor environment contributes to the improvement of health and environment for those who are living or working in that space. Through a literature review, interview and survey the following three questions were answered to achieve the aim and purpose:How are people affected by the indoor environment in damp buildings?Which are the measures issued to prevent dampness in the indoor environment?Do these interventions contribute to a better indoor environment?How people are affected by the indoor environment in damp buildings and how these problems are prevented were the foundation for the continued work with the survey.

In this report a system for Rapid Control Prototyping, RCP, is evaluated through animplementation of the motor control methods Field Oriented Control, FOC, and Space VectorPulse Width Modulation, SVPWM. The evaluation emphasizes on time-consumption andresource utilization on the used hardware and on usability for of software.A new mechatronic laboratory is under development at ABB Corporate Research in VÀsterÄs. This thesis has been conducted at Saab Bofors Dynamics AB. The purpose was to investigate if a non-linear missile model could be stabilized when the optimal control signal is computed considering constraints on the control input. This is particularly interesting because the missile is controlled with rudders that have physical bounds. This strategy is called Model Predictive Control. Simulations are conducted to compare this strategy with others; firstly simulations with step responses and secondly simulations when the missile is supposed to hit a moving target.

Ethanol has a long history as a motor fuel and is both enviromentally friendly has a high efficiency.According to the EU commissions directives for motor fuels, 5, 75 % of all the fuels in Sweden should be renewable in 2010.

The aim of this thesis is to examine how salesperson control can be exercised in a retail store environment. A case study has been performed on a Swedish fashion company emphasizing the relationship between the company?s upper level management and their retail store operations in order to describe, analyze and classify the prevailing management control mechanisms. The paper presents an agency theoretical approach to the relationship applying behavior- and outcome based control theory, performance measurement theory and incentives theory in order to give a comprehensive image of the control system. The main finding is that the company?s management control system as applied to the sales force in its retail stores can be categorized as mainly behavior-based despite several explicit outcome-based features..
